Well done farmlily3 it was an old picture of Hector last year.. Pictures like that don't happen often.. :) You recognised my cuddles bunny as a baby..
We have now (most reindeer and humans) finished for Christmas, just Twig and Lexi to pick up from their easy booking with a vet looking after them on Friday...... Can't wait till I can reintegrate the herd.. it will take tactics but I can't wait.

Such a gentle picture BoHoKaren. :) Those babies have no fear. :inlove:

Reindeer are so very gentle when taking food. I don't know if I have said before but they have no teeth at the front on the top jaw (just a pad of hard gum) and at the bottom just very small teeth. I am never worried with children hand feeding even if they hold on tight to moss as the reindeer just use there furry lips to take the food. :)

LOL! Yes BoHoKaren you did say that before. I am on my third read through of your wonderful saga. I was surprised that Twig was out and about, since just read again how good she was at delivering a fat lip. xD Guess she has come a long way. Is Ana going out with you yet? Oh, and what is Hector up too these days? :)

joanc123 - third read through, goodness well done you, I don't even know what I have posted on here!!! Keep me straight!
No Ana is a home girl (for now).
Twig has come round a lot but to be honest, still expecting a thick lip when I need to worm her in the next couple of weeks, she always sees that needle!! :) Grrh it will be an ongoing fight between us!
And Hector is still Hector... I don't have lots of time to spend with him as he is still "Rutty" so I can just tie him to gate while I feed up his paddock, check his girls and release...
I am thinking about sawing off his antlers if he doesn't drop them shortly so that the whole herd can get back together... but not sure yet.

So, Hector could be one of Santa's reindeer this year. :)

If he is Joanc123 don't expect the right presents at the correct houses! :)

Twiglet & Lexi are now home and here was I thinking it would be the adult girls having tussles to reestablish their herd order not my precious babies (precocious more like)!

Wow that video is an eye opener! Too see them rear up on their hind legs like that and boxing with their front legs is scary to say the least. Now I know how amazing it is when you get to give then their shots or other medical care and do it with out injury to yourself or them! But it is nice to see them back home
    and all doing so well!:p

I hope the "babies" soon settle down. Is that Boris trying to open that Box?

It is Boris... not interested in anything but the boxes of moss that I brought back too.. Corner of box was wet with slobber!

    Sanddollar15... no injuries???
Day to day tending they are lovely calm babies. Every few weeks they need injections, 8 of ten, without a single issue. I can do without even a lead rope... a couple I get bruises from those punches and I tell you, even without rearing up those front hooves can individually punch way above their heads and very accurate!! :)
    Got to love them! :)
Mischa finding lichen that I had put on post to share between all!

Thank you, the Santa tracker is a big hit here. We went to your FB page to see who is in Santa's lineup. :)

Sorry a bit quiet here as I have come down with the inevitable post reindeer season cold - hacking, coughing and lost my voice (what a relief, some would say.. ;) )

Anyway here in UK (Midlands anyway) we have had a couple of days of freezing fog. The ice hasn't melted on the reindeer coats (they give off no body heat) but they are as happy as "pigs in muck". Picture of Mischa doesn't really show frost in coat but most of my photos were too foggy to share.
