Back for a short visit...

Hi everyone I have missed the events, strategies, games moreover all you and our conversations... for me posting in the forum is something I love doing. I can have a break from reality and more importantly I can get to know people from all over the world But this year I don't have free time and I can't even log in to my farm.
This Friday was the last day of school because for 2 weeks we will be having holiday vacations. I though won't be able to enjoy Christmas holidays so much because I will have lessons and I will study Ancient Greek, Latin and History. This is the last year for me in senior highschool and in May-June I will write πανελλήνιες(panellinies) these exams are the same for all Greeks at my age and if I do well I can go to a university.
Half of this school year has passed and I believe I will miss school when I graduate. I wish time didn't pass so fast, I am growing up and I am going to leave my family next year if everything goes fine. There are not universities in the island I live, only in the big cities of Greece. This year I carried the flag on 28 of October(Greece's national day) it was such an honor for me, only the best student carries it. I also got elected in the school elections as the money keeper of my class and in the 15 member community(15 members of all school). Since primary school I try to get elected and I succeeded it each time. I have been a lot of times the president of my class but never the president of my school. I tried it but even though students voted for me more than a lot of others the president of the school is elected from the 15 member community, in which usually there are only 3 or 4 girls and all the rest are boys and they never vote for me(a girl and a good student)...
The last year of senior highschool is difficult indeed because of all the studying but because it is the last we are allowed as a class to go to a trip to another country. So this year we have been doing some events to raise money for our trip. Today we sang the carols! Singing the carols is a custom and usually only the young children sing them. The last time before today I sang them when I was 12 years old(now I am almost an adult). But today we sang them as a class to raise money for our trip. For that cause tomorrow we will held a Christmas ball. Every year the last class of senior high school organize it and people come to dance Greek traditional dances with live music. Tomorrow around 500-600 people will come to the ball. It was so difficult to organizes it! I really we will make it work. We are 44 students and we all have a job to do tomorrow. Wish us good luck! We really need it

Hi Arielh!! What a lovely post - so glad to know how you are doing!! I miss your posts and our igm's. Such an exciting time in your life...so many things happening! Of course you will make it to a University - have you picked a favorite yet?? Any career preferences yet? You'll do well no matter what you choose, even without a University...you just have that personality!
Hope the dance goes well and you have lots of fun...would love to hear about it!

Wow, Arielh. That was such an interesting post. I can't believe all the studying you have to do your last year. My grandson is in his last year of high school also but I wish he had 1/4 the drive you have. He does not like to study and he is very smart but he thinks the less he has to do the better. Keep up the good work. I know you will get into a college. Don't worry about the future now. It will all fall into place at college and maybe even change a few times before you decide. Good luck. lottidah Not all children can study that muck but each child has its talents. Your grandson is smart so I am sure he will find his way
joanc123, sanddollar15 I wish I could say I had fun at the ball but I didn't. I had to calculate what each table had to pay. I didn't dance not even once and I didn't even see who came to the dance. All I know is that it was so hard 40 students to serve more than 500 people! We had many difficulties but we worked as a team! A lot of us believed we would earn more because we had many clients but Greek people face so many economical problems and they couldn't afford buying more and drinking more. My class had so much work and we didn't have time to have fun but the clients, our family and friends had a great time! So I am good with that and I belive we did the best that we could!
We haven't picked a country yet. Our decision will depend on the money we have earned all this year.

Maybe Arielh has left the game again because she says "back for a short visit" .But I want her to look at my post whenever she comes back.
Arielh,as it's late to say Goodluck to you for the event but it isn't late to pray for your final exams and your entire life.
You are having with such an interesting part of your life,maybe now it seems the most difficult and busiest part but trust me you'll never forget it for your whole life.
One of my Farmerama Neighbor has joined University this year(in October).Sometimes he shares his experiences with me.What I know about University is that it's a place.You will have more fun there.

I read your post but I have been very busy and stressed in my real life due to several responsibilities & concerns in my real life for more than 2 months. So I couldn't spend time in the forum or reply to your post. Still busy, so I cannot post a long one here too. All the best to whatever fields/areas you choose to venture and I know you have interest in very many things of life and balance them beautifully. My best wishes to you.
