Feedback Mini Events: January 2017

Howdy Farmers,

Please post your constructive comments, positive and negative, regarding the mini events going on in December 2016, in this Feedback thread.

Please be sure to bring arguments for supporting your statements, simple comments saying you like it or hate it will not help the Team understand what goes great, and what needs to be looked into, when planning future mini events.

Thank you for all the effort you put into these events.
The Recycl-o-mat Event was not bad. This was my first time and I had a lot of batteries in my barn.

I never liked the random prize choice, I want to chose the prize that fits the way I farm. This time there were only 4 types of prizes.
All of these benefit my farm. Thank you for that.

Another reason I did not play in the past was the large amount of goods that had to be, as I saw it, wasted.
But, I got to thinking about that. It's not like I can play with the puppies or smell the flowers, and I sure can't take any of this with me when I go... So it is a game, play or don't, participate or don't. This time I chose to participate.

Thank you again for all the positive changes.
P.S. No puppies went into that machine!

 

I usually like the Recyclomat, and don't mind the random nature of the prizes. This time though the rewards are not worth the cost.

I have put in >800,000 worth of animals, crops and a few products (the event crops at 40 are just not worth growing), the prizes were CCs, EP and coins (, the first two reasonable amounts, but I can get far more CCs for the items I tossed in the recyclomat, without participating in this event, I don't chase EP, so am not that worried, it's not as if you get anything for going up a level to 99. As for the coins, at the rate I received them you'd need a value of animals, products and crops in the millions to even get enough to exchange.

I'm not sure new players or anyone who hasn't built up stocks in their barn would be able to participate in this, since the requirements are far too high to be useful.

I will, therefore, sit this one out.

 

I usually like the recyclomat event and have poured a lot of stock from the barn into the machine. Yesterday I received a grand total of only four coins, having played hard and spun only on the 35 batteries selection. This morning I tried three times at 35 batteries and got no coins at all to spend in the shop and remain at only four. I really dont see the point in participating.......

Update: Just had a fourth whirl this morning using 35 batteries, got more EP so still at a measly 4 coins to spend! Just laughing about it now!

Final update as my recyclomat machine is now empty of produce. 7 x 35 battery whirls done today, a total of CC and EP won only, so after the start of the event I remain with the same total that I had yesterday, a whooping 4 coins! Unbelievable..... Remind me just why there is a shop?

 

same here, just getting EP and CCs and not many coins to spend at all, very disappointing in exchange for all the hundreds of products I fed into the machine and hard work to get the batteries. I will use up what credit I have in the machine and stop playing the event and put it down to experience. Are the higher level prizes, such as the magic tree, put in just to taunt us with what in totally unachievable?

 

Recyclomat

1) not possible to use tree fruits or bahama plants;
2) not possible to sotck up batteries;
3) few prizes, no animals or trees or items or row;
3) almost impossible to get the coins: with over 1.000 batteries I ended up with 126 coins

Last time I participated in this event. Very, very sad about that

When i saw the amount being asked ..i stopped playing
Would sooner keep my barn then get EP & TEP for it
I make enough of these daily... And at level 96 there isn't anything worth leveling up for ...as far as i can see

 

Recylcomat is ruined for me. What a disappointment. I want to be able to donate tree fruit. I want to be able to keep my batteries - it's a recurring event so why change this feature. The prizes were disappointing and the coins given out were too few to make me want to bother with that feature. Poorly thought out for us older players.

 

I use to love doing Recyclomat events in the past but. The concept of it has changed quiet considerably..... That it has taken the fun out of doing this event.

1) Nublonian Batteries no long stay in our barns after this event
2) No able to donate tree fruits into Recylomat
3) The donation requirements for all three pools (small, medium,large) has increased quiet a bit from last recyclomat event which means we have to donate more from our barns into recyclomat which is not good news for us
4) farm coin prizes, are just too costly in terms of Farm Coins
5) Hardly cannot get decent prizes during recyclomat event window, we could get a big selection of prizes in last event. not in new Shop O Rama
6) Certain so unfair on Newbie Farmers who having to miss this event altogether !!!

This is Worse Recylomat Event I have ever played in my six years of this game !!!

 

Have noticed Nublonian Batteries don't have an EV value
So all the time it has taken us to get these ...we probably wont get anything back for them ? ...If they are taken away...I have 125 of them

I'm done with this event and any future ones if the structure doesn't change. In my mind if BP introduced Farm Coins all spins should give us the coins. Getting EPs, TEPs, and CCs is a nuisance. I have to donate equivalent of millions and millions of my stock to get few EPs, TEPs, or CCs? I can make more CCs on the market!!!. I have no problem with donating in exchange for the coins which I can use to get a special price I want but with spending over 2 millions and getting mostly what I don't want I'm done.

 

I have pretty much accepted defeat was aiming for the magic tree but the lack of coins has left me high and dry. I'm not a great fan of random, I too would have preferred to have the choice of what I 'win' after such a high donation with the fact that the batteries will now be taken away at the end of the event is also a poor choice. I can't help but agree with the other players feedback, this event was good in the past but sadly this time it isn't, I'll certainly have to rethink my participation if and when the recyclomat comes around next time.

 

Love the new option to get a magic tree, though it does look as though it will take more than one event to get it (it better not be removed before most of us have a chance to get it.... this one needs to stay for a very loooooong time!). I am somewhat disappointed, definitely leery about being paid for the batteries. That seems to say the event won't be back, and for higher level players, this is actually a decent event. Because donation values are so high, perhaps it could be tied with another event OR, offer a few more lower level prizes (they could be single award, special ones, so that the high level players don't just scoop them up, but things like special pens or even some of the older giver items might be welcome by players who don't have them and could be offered for much less than magic trees, or even powerfeed, etc.) That would be the one complaint. The rewards are not really "worthwhile" for lower players. I think you could do a better job of explaining the dynamics. This is particularly true since many of the formerly active strategy posters who used to always give wonderful advice are now gone.

 

I disagree Woody, even for high level / long-term players like me and others commenting, the rewards are not worthwhile for anyone - especially higher level players who aren't chasing either CC or EP and usually have inventories stacked with 'giver items' from the past, which usually are quite low EP.

The coins are useless, because they are so sparingly given and on such a random basis that it may well be impossible to even get enough for anything in one event. If they are not going to be on a roll-over basis, then it stands to reason almost no-one is going to be able to claim the 'special prizes'. Approximately a million in items (actual worth in market value about ten times that) tossed in and 8 coins plus a few 100,000 EP/CC - that's 'hands hit forehead' time.

I have watched the iterations of this event from when the cute little Nublions first came and we all loved them, then after a couple of visits, they brought in this recyclomat with them and now it's on its own. Last time it was still a good event with the ability to throw in tree fruits as well as all the other things for random rewards of all the things you now have to 'save' coins for - why it was changed I have no idea. It's not an event that is going to appeal to players of any level - simply because of the high requirements - why would a player want to empty their barn, just to get some EP/CC they can get anyway. Is there even a point to growing the crops at 40 ea?

As for the dynamics of this particular event - I'm not sure there are any. Unlike other events, the only requirement is to toss in the restricted goods and get EP/TEP/CC or coins in return. No strategy will determine which of the three choices is the right one for the best return.

For me, and it seems many others, this event has been put on my 'can't be bothered' list, which is sad really - since it used to be on my top five enjoyment list.

 

the recyclomat is very disappointing this time. cc, ep and tep are not worth it... you can earn those easier elsewhere on the farm .... and the only time i got coins there was only 14....not enough to change for anything! event crops were not as helpful as they could have been either. wish i had skipped this altogether. i was looking forward to this event too. so i could get rid of some large accumulations of baha stock, only to find they weren't included.

i dunno... the last few events have been disappointing, this game is becoming unrewarding to play for me. if things don't get better soon, i think i will look for a new game to waste my time with

 

I am really disappointed that the event crops have an exchange value of only 40. I had torn up my farms and done a few rounds of crops when I found this out and couldn't quite believe it. Event crops, from my recollection, have always been high value items for this type of event and I feel a little cheated.

This is one of the reasons that I no longer put my money into this game - Far too often I feel a sense of disappointment that players' enjoyment of the game comes a very poor second to making money.

My first thought was, "What do we need another type of game currency for?" I was not going to do this event, but decided to do it so I could check out how these farm coins would work. I'm not happy with this event at all. As usual, "random" translates to a very low probability of getting what you want (farm coins in this case). That, in addition to a very high cost for farm coin items and a very high cost in goods from the barn, makes this event totally unattractive to me. I wasn't super happy about the recylomat to begin with - I now remember thinking the last time we had this event that next time I'll skip it. Hopefully I'll remember that next time before putting any resources or time into it!

Also - you have an event crop that is basically worthless because of it's low value. Should have remembered that too before tearing up my farm to plant it!!!!

 

Same here. Huge disappointment. I gave one whirl then quit. Not worth it.

 

The ideal approach to this event: skipping it. From my standpoint, there's no single prize item worth depleting Farm's stock.

This is the worst event i have EVER played on Farmerama...and i have played many ...gave up after a few goes of this one

And now have made even more to put in my barn...From NOT doing this event

My Barn is staying as it is ..IF Farmerama thinks I am giving things in my barn up for EP TEP and CC's ... then they need to think again...that's an INSULT at level 96 ... I make all these daily from the Cloud rows ... the park ...shipwreck bay...the stables the trees... the givers ... Why would I need more of them ??? that's senseless

I have the cloud row that this Event is offering as a reward ALREADY from another event in 2015...giving the same 36000 EP and 15000 TEP Reset time72:00h and the same givers ...why would i want another one of these ? its two years old

My barn is worth far more then EP and TEP and an old out of date cloud row after 6 years of playing this game
Not a bit of thought went into this event ...that's sad...because it used to be the best game
