Rating "difficult"


Requires 140 badges of EACH type , PLUS 155,000 bird exchange value and 180,000 mammals exchange value donation to get all of the prizes. (if you cannot remember categories from basic biology, its in the FAQs ) Exchange values can be found in your barn, as well as being listed in the donation phases of the event.

To complete entire event, you will need 560 PF (280 of each category) BUT, some additional badges are awarded occasionally. Like skips, they are unpredictable. My impression, having completed the first 3 levels, is that You can expect to get only a few extra badges.

This is similar to other "badge" events in that you have to breed animals to get "badges". Prizes alternate between requiring badge donations and animal donations. Each wheel is independent. You can do one and not the other, but they must be done in order. The donation value shows when you try to donate. IMPORTANT -- YOU DO NOT NEED TO USE BREEDING ANIMALS for any of the donations. You just need the stock. You can, for example donate just basic (non bred) chickens for the birds, just goats for the mammals or any combination of the proper animals. Because there are so many options I am not going to run the numbers for each animal.

ALSO IMPORTANT: Look at totals required before deciding to either breed or use donations. Anything donated is gone, whether you complete the step or not. Also, keep track of bird versus mammal badges, unless you are breeding purely for other reasons.


To get wonder trees:
you need 15 bird badges and 40,000 bird donations.

To get the wonder pens:
you need 45 mammal badges and 45000 mammal donations

To get the candle workshop:
you will need 95 badges and 105,000 mammal exchange value

To get the quill workshop:
You will need 45 bird badges and 90,000 bird donations




CONSIDER -- using PF to breed animals you need for other purposes or to sell. As usual, the prices for the first level breeding animal are unusually high. You can sell them and buy higher level animals at a profit, IF you move quickly. (prices typically rise initially, then drop as event progresses).

OVERALL -- this event will be hard for anyone without animals in stock. Whether it is worthwhile for those with stock will depend on goals and whether they have PF on hand.

SKUNK and EAGLE: Wonder pens given out in this event do not include skunk, but MIGHT include yellow or orange Eagles as an option. If you do not get them here, both will likely be available in the next Gift and Trade event, but no one knows when that will be. In the past, the trade value has not been terribly high, but that could change. (my opinion is they will still be relatively easy to obtain, but that is ONLY my opinion!)

Thanks for starting the thread, woody I was waiting for someone to do it and figured if no one had done it by the time I got done shopping, I would give it a go. Sad that it took this long

Having followed the grapevine, my barn is chock full of birds and mammals. Thanks again to all who contribute there.

I completed level 5/8 on mammals and 7/8 on birds. I loaded the breeding shack yesterday and harvested after the event started.
Not sure how far I will get, but I am one of those few who does not have skunk or eagle. Except, the eagle has landed now.

There are MM FSQs that give PF (Moonlight Mania starts tomorrow), as well as all the product FSQs. So if a skunk does not pop out of one of the 3 wonder stables, I plan to go in after it.

joan - Skunks are not included as potential pens in the Obsidian Wonder Stables that are awarded in this event. You will need more PF to get the badges in order to get the skunk awarded in step 7. Good luck!

 

Thank you PNP, I did not check the FAQ on the Obsidian Stables. Still good though, lots of mammals ready to go in and coax that skunk out for me. Good luck to you and everyone, whether you choose to participate, sell and/or just breed!

 

Thanks woody. I did exactly that and got the trees & stables. I am saving my Pfs for the neon event next month. We might need PFs for them.

It took me 512 PF to get all the required badges. So, I got 24 extra badges out of 256 breedings. Not particularly great results, but I thought I'd report them.
I've been disappointed with BBDs lately, but this one was pretty good. I got a lot of 3 and 4 level skips, as well as many multiple babies. I hope it's an actual change for the better and has been that way for everyone.

Thanks poppy I was wondering how many extra badges one might get. Since there isn't much PF being given back, you would think we would at least get lots of extra badges I still haven't decided how far I will go. I'm leaning towards the skunk merely bc you can't get those in any of the stables.

 

I always tell myself: "Don't do the breeding events - it's just not worth it. Work on the quests instead" If only I would listen ....
I would breed birds and mammals anyway so I might toss in a few animals too. "Might" as in you can bet your PF I will, you won't lose it.

And am left with 29 PF...after draining FS quests for some of them

Did both the Pf levels this morning and now have 45 PF ...I don't like the neons ..so wont be doing that event..so have time to gather some more

I only went as far as the pf on each on both farms only because I messed up and misjudged what I needed lol spent more pf than I was wanting to now I have to build my PF supply back up for NEON event next month I believe we are going to need between 300- 560 PF for that event

Hi porkchop1. There is no mention on the grapevine that we will be able to build these any time soon.
They will most likely start to show up in Wonder Stables. The FAQ for each Wonder Stable event tells you what you may receive.
They may also come in a new Farmer Society Quest, or show up in Jacks Shop as a Spooky Quill or Candle workshop.

Sorry to hear that you ran out of PF. If you still have a Mentor you can ask him/her to send some. Check out the Farmer Society Quests, some of those give PF. When Moonlight Mania starts there are some FSQs for MM crops that give PF.

You will probably have to wait a while to get them. The good news is that they are not needed for very many things. Your best bet is to try and buy whatever you can now, before the price skyrockets. After that.. the price will drop eventually. And you should get them eventually from a G & T, though almost certainly not the first one or two. (we never know when new things are available to trade, but its almost always not the first G & T after they are offered).

As for getting PF from mentors -- you have to be more than level 22-25 (this is from the chart, not sure why the range) and less than 40 to get powerfeed, and then only 2 a day. Its not worth (in my opinion) staying down that low to get PF since you can mill that much in a couple days anyway. If you are fortunate enough to have neighbors who buy the larger packs, you will get PF as a bonus to them. Other than that, its "mill, mill, mill".

Usually later on these workshops might be made available - like in San Gigantica Expres. Or they are made tradeable in G&Ts. But when it will be might not be able to say exactly. I too did not go for the quill & candle workshop on the belief that I might get them in some other way some day.

I took a few months away from farmerama a couple of years ago and found out i was missing lots of stables when i got back... took a little time but have got every one of the stables now ...so it is possible to get them

Wish they would change the Renzo coins into Farm coins

Was saving Renzo coins for the magic tree that was in Renzo's shop ...but that was gone from that shop the last time it was here

Got nothing good from the wonder stables & trees. But no problem.

We will be needing tree fruits for an upcoming event in February. So stock them up.
