Neon Revolution strategy

Morning, all! FAQs for neon pens are out here. Requirements look to be a total of:

For both neon pens of each animal:
675,000 each total value dogs, frogs and bats
135 love locks

For one neon pen of each animal:
325,000 total value animals
45 love locks

Power feed consumption should then be 270 for both pens each animal, 90 for 1 of each. I don't intend to complete the last step, but it requires love locks only, 135 total, meaning an additional 270 PF.

Hope my maths are correct, if not, feel free to correct me!

Pretty sure I can get at least one of each neon. Won't be enough PF in my barn for the last step, so no worries there.

Spots, noticed that for the final step, you say we need an additional 170 PF - think that should be 270.

I will be doing the main three steps but will not bother doing any more breeding unless I can conjure up another 236 PF from somewhere. I have hunted high and low for little caches of the wonder stuff but cannot find any more unless I donate level 9 breeding stock to the breeding FSQs (stopped doing them a loooong time ago) for a measly 30 PF or so! Even then I still come up short - serves me right for continuing to breed at the last breeding event, I just couldn't stop!

That is Correct that we need 45 Love Locks from Each of Frog, Dog and Bat Side Quest. Which is 270 Power Feeds Required. But we will get back 50 Power Feeds from These Three Quests

I need to add that we can get Love Locks from Breeding any Animal not just Bat, Frogs and Dogs only. It does say this in Neon Revolution FAQ

I agree that reward for last step in not worth 135 Love Locks. This does mean consuming another 270 Power Feeds. Not 170 Power Feeds !

We will be able to get Two Neon Pen Frogs, Dogs and Bats. I am very happy to get these as i not got any Pink Frog, Pink Dog or Pink Bat Pens anyway. It makes a Huge saving on Breeding Animals and Tools to Make these from the Workshop anyway..

Good news for anyone with the new Farm coins. The cost of 20 PF has been reduced from 80 to 50 coins. New Feb. rates.
This can be purchased 5 times.
If you plan to buy more than two, the 60 PF is only 120 coins!

 

I'm definitely in for the first set of neons, and maybe (probably) the second set. I'll wait to see if a BBD is announced before I start. Glad to see the FAQ states that the love locks can be from any breeding, and not just the event animals. "You will get one Love Lock, guaranteed, from all the breeding processes, regardless of the breeding animals" I was really hoping that would be the case this time.

The only way I'd do the final step of this event is if I was doing a lot of BBD breeding anyway. Rather than let the locks be exchanged at the end of the event, I'd turn them in. If I'm getting good skips, I'll do it, but only because I'm still working on a few breeding quests.

For those low on PF, you can also check for quests in the FS that may offer some, and if you have tons of stars, there's always the breeding packs on the tree of wisdom that give a few PF, pheromones, and animals.

So if I understood correctly can we get one neon pen of each animal (in total 3 neon pens) with 270 PF (3 x 90)?
And around how many animals will we need of each kind?

 

LOL - just checked out my Farm Coin total. A wapping 39!

I have cleared everything from the Tree of Wisdom and most of the FSQs that I can. I keep saying to myself "Why am I bothering? The prizes aren't that great." but I won't listen!

I was hoping that the "You will get one Love Lock, guaranteed, " might be interpreted as maybe we could get two ... but I think that is just wishful thinking!

I though it be nice that post about Donation Requirements for Frog, Dog and Bat Side of Level 1, 3 and 5 Respectively..

The Breeding Frogs,Dogs and Bats listing in our markets may very in Market Prices. The reason me mentioning this that the next lower level breeding animal. Actually real value is 25% of Next Level up breeding animal as you need to put in 4 of Same Kind of Base Animal or Breeding Animal.

My Formula is Breeding animal Value at Current Market Price is .......... CC, you then divide the Exchange Value of that Breeding animal E.g Zebra Frog market price is 1,500.000 CC then exchange value is 67000 EV Therefore 1,500,000 / 67,000 = 22.38 Donation Value per CC....

The reason why i am saying this as below i will put Donation Suggest Requirement for each Level....I would not advise to use Base Animals as Donations they all currently selling for good CC ..

One Strategy is to buy up the Breeding animals required while prices are cheap in the markets, Before prices goes up. But many of us need to sell lots Animals and Breeding Animals to make CC use the proceeds to Snap up good market buys.

On the other hand to hope to get good Breeding skips during Baby boom and get all the required breeding animals needed to complete the Frog,Dog and Bat Quests Steps. But we cannot keep Breeding to Absolute Minimal to save our Power Feeds as we will be needed lots of Love Locks 135 of them for Side Quests another 135 Lock Locks for Last Step

A bit disappointed that its not fish and so forth. Guess the team wanted to mix things up, keep them unpredictable (and I have not kept track of the grapevine, might have been said there....)

anyway, I expect to get at least one neon each, not sure about how much more I will do.

 

Arielh, it's 30 PF & 325,000 animal value for the 1st neon stable of each kind.

Best news is you can still get a neon bat even if you have not unlocked bat breeding in Jack's shop. You just need enough CC's to buy enough breeding bats to donate.

 

Think i am going to sit this one out.. Will keep my PF for something better ...not a lover of the Neon stables

That's a lot of PF and a LOT of breeding animals
The skips aren't always good to get the animals needed..which means yet more PF
I have a good percentage of the breeding animals needed ...but i am not going to give them to this event
I don't see what is being rewarded that brilliant for the amount being given to earn these rewards ...
So will finish soup and friends in FS and get the pink stables instead

Looking forward to the cake baking event..that looks like fun

But this event doesn't look fun to me...it looks like stress

And Illy I Have got 7 Farm Coins 39 is LOTS compared to 7

Thanks Mooboy for the donation guidelines . I had intended to put the values of the level 1-5 breeding animals up, but ran out of time (and kinda forgot, too).

Do the figures above mean that I will need 540 (270 + 270) to finish the entire event?
[That would be 270 for the first parts and then another 270 for the final step with the GBs and stars and such, right?]

As per FAQ,
You need 45 Pfs for frogs
45 PFs for bats &
45 Pfs for dogs.
That is a total of 135 PFs
& another 135 Pfs for the last step. So we will be needing a total of 270 PFs . Is that correct ?
