    What a sweetheart.. :inlove:
Looks like you have your Mr. Cuddles back. :) Is Hector putting weight back on now that his marathon is over?
    His tummy looks bigger. :D

Joan, only the top photo is Hector, the other 2 are Freya. Hector isn't putting weight on yet (reindeer don't over Winter) but I think he has stopped losing it. Roll on the Spring when he should pile it back on. :)

Hahahaha... :D Sorry Freya, I missed those HUGE antlers on your head. (still can't spot them in the middle photo) :music:

No exciting reindeer photos today, as I have contractors putting a new fence in for me and for some reason they don't find the reindeer as helpful as I do. I think Hector trying to lift one of them over the fence last time didn't help! :( Heehee. His wife told me today that he was slightly worried by an antler between his legs... not sure why. Reindeer excluded from build area. :(

And my plumbing of new water line created a flood, so back to the drawing board tomorrow... Hey ho.

Boring picture - so much more fun with reindeer help. :)

I am so sorry you had a plumbing set back. Sounds like you have been super busy. You get to have fun with all your helpers,
so not all bad. I was picturing you and the babies puddle jumping. :)

I am sure Hector was only trying to be helpful in lifting the man over the fence. Can't think why he would have been so worried about where the antler was!

Plumbing leaks sorted (for now) but waiting for new water troughs to arrive so 2 more Taj's to build, complete with foundations and more water connections - so we'll see how we (I) get on.....

Fencing complete and Quality Control Department has checked and passed it! ;) Good ol' Hector

And fun in the paddock again but from my phone, so no zoom and it was getting to dusk.... one day I'll get a decent video of them playing on a good camera and in daylight... Never work with animals and dodgy equipment! :)

They looks as though they are having fun racing around, and Hector seems happy with the new fencing.

Why are their tails up when they run but not when they are grazing/resting? The white tailed deer around here raise their tails when there is danger nearby.

Mine raise their tails when having fun, they never really get stressed but the best time is when young babies are getting plenty of milk. I love it when I see babies flagging their tails - it means they are getting a tummy full of milk.. Tail flagging here is good.. :)
Couldn't find a rear view of flagging by calf that I have posted elsewhere but the best I can do at quick look. Tails up when happy. :)

I see Hector has a new job as fence inspector!xD He looks like he is enjoying his work! He really is too cute! And in the video they all look like they are playing some kind of running game!
I hope you get all your water issues sorted out!;)

    An Elsa update...
She's the very beautiful cow (female) that hubby drove close to 900 miles to collect in September as her owners couldn't cope with her behaviour.

She joined Hector for the rut, but late. I am so hoping that she will produce a baby (but it will be late May/early June if she is pregnant - so later than the rest of the girls) but if she does calve, then he or she should be very pretty.

We can't get tooo attached to her baby, if it is male, as he will be joining Thor and Loki at the farm that Elsa used to live - her baby will be going to join her previous owners... and Elsa will eventually be in 101 training to become a sociable member of the Luxlyk herd.. :)

Edit to show Hector and Elsa together... if they have a calf... :) Hopefully white blazes and with a little luck, apricot around face as Hector - but genetics, you never know... calf may just be brown!! :(

Hector and Elsa are a stunning pairing! As you well know BoHoKaren " Not getting attached" is way easier said than done! ;) I know it is hard for you too, but having to raise them and deal with all the issues I think keeps you grounded, and doing what is best for your herd! The good news is we can :inlove:
them for awhile anyway! Thanks for the wonderful pictures!

I'm happy to see the new fence passed the taste test. :p Bet your Quality Control personnel will be on the spot to approve
    the new Taj's. ;)
Great pictures of your beautiful Elsa and a funny video of your happy clan. I can even see Loki's (?) flag flying for his meal. :)
Thank you for sharing with us. :inlove:
