Hello. Can anyone offer any good strategies for Bahamarama? I don't see any threads addressing Bahamarama strategy so far. I've been filling customer orders in Bahamarama as it seems like the quickest way to level up. When I'm not working on orders, I'm planting the seeds with the highest amount of tropical EP (the ones I'm able to buy so far anyway with my GBs), but I feel like it's still moving slower than pouring cold molasses. I water all my seeds & fertilize too to speed up growing time, use super-grow & Suzy's super-grow when able, etc. but just wondered if there was a better way to go about this to maximize my tropical EPs. I haven't even been able to open all of my growing fields yet and I don't want to get tropical animals & trees yet until I do. I have a lot more fun playing the Bahamarama area because I love all things tropical. On my main farm I'm working up to 250 stars to be able to unlock the Rainforest & that's slow going as well, but not as slow as it's taking me to get further in Bahamarama. The quests associated with Bahamarama don't give tropical EPs, it gives stars and main farm EPs so I haven't really worked on those yet since it won't get me further in Bahamarama.

Thanks to anyone who offers helpful input! I appreciate it!

Hello, I don't know if you would call it a great strategy but there are some givers that when placed on the Island it will give TEPs instead of EPs. I took down all my givers then went to the Island and checked for the ones that would give TEPs. You will know because the ones that can not be placed there, they will have a circle with a line going through. Also maybe ask your friends and neighbors to give you a few Wilsons they also give TEPs. LOL When a friend of mine first opened her Island she had a stash of Wilsons and placed them on the fields and leveled up pretty good with them, of course at was first lower levels. Wilson gives 20TEPs every 8hrs 15x each. and the gives give what they give as often as they give. But it all helps in the end.
Getting the coveted GBs is what I find to be very frustrating. I personally, after the first chamber wall and unlocking the things there have taken to spending the GBs on unlocking the chamber walls first, then I can unlock my trees. Animals are alright as long as you can make the food for them, meaning unlocking the seeds to grow the ingrediency. There are task in the FS that gives GBs but I'm not sure which ones they are, but I have seen them.
Hope this helps some :) Good Luck

Never been a huge Bahama fan, but this is my 2 pennies:
Do the Bahama quests, they do offer bahama TEP. I thought all of them did, but perhaps not all. Most certainly do
Try to do events especially if you can get a cloud row - they tend to give both mainland EP and Bahama TEP.
Since the quests require fruit and animals - I would opened those.
Rainforest is a must, in addition it offers extra TEP to either or both animals and trees (I've forgotten - if no one else steps in and correct me, check FAQ)
Unlock what you need for the quests.
Personally I don't fill others, it offers too little reward for too much goods. But any TEP counts.

Edit: the first 2 bahama quests I did was Party in Paradise (timed) and Bahama bar. Both offers TEP (Tropical EP)

A tip in case you haven't thought of it, when doing timed quests you do as much as you can like grow the longest crop, and when it's ready to harvest, THEN you put the timer on. Makes it much easier to complete. Sometimes you can finish it in an instant.

Thanks, mazel10 & Moraine! I'm going to try the Wilson strategy. I didn't know about that. Funny coincidence, I watched that movie Cast Away last night. :) Also, I will do the quests then if it does indeed give tropical EPs. I guess I didn't notice much of a change the first task I did, but I'll pay better attention now and make sure it's giving me tropical EPs. I already do the timed quests the way you suggested, Moraine but have never done the Bahamarama ones because I thought it only gave regular EPs, so I will definitely try that too! I appreciate both of your advice!

Just to add my dubious input - I think if I'm correct, Baha trees and animals all give TEP (someone correct me if I'm wrong) so use the space in the rainforest, once you get it open .... which you should try to do as quickly as you can. And also remember that some of the crafting items (jams, breads etc) are specific to baha ... mango orange smoothies and red punch give tep if I recall so are worth looking at to maybe jump levels a bit ,,,, also any farmer society quests that award golden bananas are a must.

One thing I would add is DO NOT stress over getting all of the first Baha field open. It has about 5 steps and can't be completed quickly. It is much more important to open the Rainforest. Also, don't just open everything in one temple window. Only open the ones that will help you progress through the temple or to open a breedable animal (monkeys, camels, pandas).

Best of luck - and have fun. You will be surprised how quickly it opens once you get the rainforest :)

There are some older threads that were archived. Some of the information there is out of date (used to be BEP, not TEP; also, there was no rainforest and all of the rare baharama animals are relatively new).

    1. Grow as much as you can quickly to open up all of the fields.
    2. IF you get a banana tree before you open the statue, put it down and DO NOT REMOVE IT!!!! Bananas that appear from opening wonder trees will stay, but only until you delete them/put them into storage. Once you remove them, you won't be able to place them again until you open up the statue.
    3. Make opening the rainforest a priority!!!
    4. Buy red punch, orange-mango smoothies, etc. As soon as your spa is opened up, make them!
    5. Look at the farmhouse orders. Occasionally they offer a chance to buy some TEP more cheaply (or just more often and before you can buy punch) than red punch, etc.
    6. with #5 in mind, ask for herbal elixir from your neighbors as gifts when you get close to being able to open up the spa.

and yes... do work on the quests. However, many of them take a long time. Its been a long time since I did most and several new statues have been added that might change the order. I remember basically trying to get to the point of opening shipwreck as a goal, however, that involved opening a lot of statues, completing other quests first. (it basically set the order of opening things for me).

If unsure if a quest gives EP or TEP, look for the banana sign on the EP-Hat. Bananas under the hat = Tropical EP.

Thank you, BLZbub666 & woody! Unlocking the rainforest is my #1 priority right now in the game. Slowly getting there. Thanks for the advice!

Not trying to hijack the thread but I have a question and it might help gardengal too(or garden might already know the answer). Why is it soooo very important to open the Rainforest???

there a lot of reason's , most of the time you will need 5 field's for event's, fill the field with tree's, long grow crops for the drops, put stable's out so you can keep one field for the crop. can think of many reasons, i know you can also. land is good

For me the main reason was the Rainforest is all open just like the main field when you first start the farm. :)

I agree with oldman49 and joan123, and would also add that the rain forest can be opened with stars, which are much easier to obtain than the golden bananas it takes to open the rest of the main island. Once you open the rain forest it's much easier to gain TEP with the extra space (188 plots), and thus more golden bananas, which can then be used to unlock more land on baha, as well as other trees, animals, and crops.

@oldman49 @joanc123 @-poppyseed- Thanks neighbors for the answers. Oh Ok I see and get it. All most excellent reasons to open that playing field. Yes, land is good and it makes perfect reason that you can gain more TEP that way. Guess I just wasn't thinking logical. I thought, maybe there was some special gift or something when it opened, from the way farmers were like must open rainforest ;)

One thing no one has mentioned are the giver items. There are numerous giver items that offer TEP (older versions may say "BEP" ,but its the same). I would move them to Baharama. They will give more TEP, at least to start, than any of the things you can grow and move you up faster.

Because it offers the most space for the effort. However, that is a bit deceptive, since it requires stars and other items require stars as well.

In truth, I have not compared stars for rainforest to other things, but it did seem that baha rewards come faster than others.

Yes, the best, though tend to be those from events -- but they are also harder to come by. You can, of course get wilsons, etc for free from neighbors!

When speaking about the Bahamarama Islands, opening the Rainforest isn't soooo very important, it is THE MOST IMPORTANT thing you can do. Farmerama is ultimately about producing goods. The only thing that is extremely scarce is land, or the ability to produce goods. The Rainforest itself is a lot of open land for producing goods at a relatively cheap cost. The amount of open space also allows for leveling up faster, meaning more Golden Bananas for unlocking even more.

@gardengal I strongly recommend against filling orders. You would be better off selling the same items on the market and buying Red Punch, or Mango-orange Smoothies with the profit from those items. Your biggest focus should be on opening farm space, so Rainforest, and the field statues should be the priority before unlocking animal/breeding/crop/tree statues.

This is generally true, but depends on the price of punch and the product offered. When buying quantities I have found times when I bought up all the punch/mango, or at least all that was at anything close to a reasonable price.

Also, you can fulfill orders before you are able to buy punch in the market.

There needs to be a bit of pragmatism here. We're talking about advice for a player who is new enough that they haven't unlocked all of Bahamarama. The chances of them buying out all the punch/mango is quite low. Additionally, my advice was to sell the goods which would have been given to the farm orders and use that coin to buy punch/mango, not to spend all ones coin in pursuit of punch/mango. This speeds up the process of obtaining Golden Bananas without impeding the ability to do other tasks with the farm. Furthermore, for future reference, the price of Punch/Mango across all servers is a rather stable price with only rare spikes caused by someone with deep pockets. It's quite possibly one of the safest investments any player can make, especially newer players.

This is true. I believe a farm level of 70 is needed to buy punch/mango. However, it would be a better strategy to save that coin for when a farm can purchase punch/mango. As far as farm orders are concerned, they are quite literally one of the most horrific things you can spend your time and resources on. They have the absolute worst cost vs. benefit ratios in the game, making it one of the least beneficial strategies one can recommend.
