Aluntino really sums it up. It is a horrible event. However I did some barn clearing and went after the rare trees which I didn't have. I made more coins than that, but keeping them for now. Only really need one tree of each. I have 2 fields on main and 2 fields in Bahma covered with trees. It suits my life at the moment too, so it's not a disadvantage. Perhaps if I gain enough drops I might go after what coins I can get, but the event is in addition to the sad expenses/prizes ratio, also a dull one to do. Where is the feeling of accomplishment ? Did I throw that one into the big black hole as well ? If so it should have looked less like an apple for sure!

I am having second thoughts about drain my barn stock of tree fruits to get Farm Coins to spend in Shop O Rama.

Hawthorn, Silk, Chaste and Salt Ceder Trees All cost 30 farm coins each. Since they were introduced into our game July last year. There has been no demand for these fruits in Animal Feeds or Farm Society Quests so far. But will there be demand for these fruits in near future ?? The Fruits Values from these Trees are only 164 EV Each.

We have to donate a chunky amount of Fruits to Acquire these trees. Those who are level 70 or higher can Buy Maple Sap Tree from the store for 3650 CC each as Maple Sap has Exchange value of 170 EV Each

I have ruled out getting 50 BB for 250 Farm Coins too. As I am able to get some BB from my Cash for Action Cinema watching Videos. This is an alternative option to Acquire BB without need to donate Tree fruits.

I have Jumbo Super Grow, Super Mulch and Suzy Super Trees. So also not need to spend my Farm coins on these either. I already have two magic trees no need to get more of them as i always end up with surplus drops at every event, they are no longer in my Shipwreck as i have replaced them with Better TEP Givers

The only thing that appeals to me are the 60 x/20 x Power Feeds. So i probably hold onto to any Farm Coins i have for better prizes in near future.

It is not an exciting event for me, I am going to try make some good CC from it to my advantage if i can ;)

    poppy,

If I had seen your question yesterday, I'd have answered that, as a general rule, just for the initial harvest when event starts, to increase event's drops potential initial count, any longer-timed tree would have best done the job (20 hs.), followed by any XLs and only once you filled your fields with those, XXLs. I used to think higher level trees yield more drops but I'm not so sure about it any more.

Then, afterwards, the general rule reverses: XXLs are the best bet -because chance is related to type and time, which, for a base tree of 20 hs. means having same chance in its XXL version, that cuts time to 12 hs.-.

BUT, for this particular event (or whenever ExV generation is the need), after knowing how horrible the event's drop rate actually is, the key thing is not to boost it -because effect would be very little- but to maximize ExV output per hour per plot so that you can get your ExV back as faster as possible.

For this, the best bets are (in strict descending order, comma separated, with "/" meaning equivalence: I'm stopping in both lists at my index value of 200/hr):

    FARM

XXL cork, XL cork, XXL maple, base cork, XXL almond, XXL olive, XXL pine, XXL date, chestnut/XXL yellow pear/XXL golden leaf, XXL angel's trumpet, XXL orange/XXL peach, XXL oak, XXL cherry/XXL rowan/XXL strawberry tree/XXL sea-buckthorn/XXL fullmoon maple/XXL sakura/XXL medlar/XXL loquat/XXL blackthorn/XXL black willow/XXL kowhai, XXL elderberry/XXL pear, XXL stone pine/XXL beech, XL maple, XL almond, XXL mulberry, maple, XXL apple/XL olive and so forth downward.

    BAHA

sandalwood, XXL tamarillo, XXL annona, XXL macadamia, XXL langsat, XXL plumeria, XXL goji/XXL pitomba, XXL moringa, XXL acai, XXL sea grape, XL tamarillo, XXL pandanus, XXL mate, XL annona, XL macadamia, base tamarillo, XXL persimmon, XL langsat, base annona, XXL jocote, base macadamia, XL plumeria, XL goji/XL pitomba, XXL lychee, base langsat, base plumeria, XL moringa, base goji/base pitomba, XXL kumquat, XL acai, XL sea grape, base moringa/XL pandanus/XXL papaya/XXL cashew, XXL wampee, XXL mangosteen, base acai, base sea grape, XL mate, XXL avocado/XXL grapefruit, base pandanus, XL persimmon, chocolate vine, XL jocote/XXL cocoa/XXL nectarine, base persimmon, XL lychee, XXL baobab, base jocote/XXL guava, XL kumquat, base lychee, XL papaya/XL cashew, XL wampee, base kumquat, XL mangosteen, XXL dragonfruit, rollinia, XL avocado/XL grapefruit, base papaya/base cashew, base wampee, ponytail/XXL kiwi/XXL achacha, base mangosteen, dragonblood, XL guava/XL nectarine, base avocado/base grapefruit, XXL fig/XXL pistacchio/XXL amherstia, XXL Brazil nut, XL baobab, base cocoa/base nectarine/XXL mango, base baobab, base guava, XXL mandarin/XXL tamarind/XXL Buddha's hand/XXL carob/XXL poinciana/XXL pomegranate, durian/XL dragonfruit/XXL banana/XXL star and so forth downward.

I hope I made no mistake (not 100% sure), but anyway it should work as a pretty good ExV-generating guide, for ExV yielding power of currently available trees as of today.

Definitely a barn drainer, but as an older player, I had thousands of virtually all fruit available. I was able to get the 420 coins I had left to get a magic tree.

For evaluation -- I have at least 50 of each tree, at least a dozen XXL of most, and with auto-tree harvester, am able to refill my stocks relatively quickly. Will I regret this choice? Who knows! A magic tree was something I have wanted since the beginning, so for me, it was worthwhile. I suggest everyone look carefully at what they will gain. The good thing about the coins is that the rewards will apparently stay around for a while. Other people may feel it best to wait for other events. It will depend heavily on what you have (as far as rewards, tree fruit, etc. -- all). I, myself, will get more powerfeed, perhaps a couple party tickets.

NOTE -- definitely disagree with aluntio on including sandalwood, dragonblood, etc -- basically, if you can get more than 1K, I, personally, would sell and not use it for a donation unless you are very close to getting a reward you REALLY want and cannot just buy otherwise. ALSO, those are not available in upgradable versions yet -- and note that you can get almost twice the harvest from 2 twelve hours versus one 20 hour. Only use the unupgraded if you have no more XXL!

ALSO -- for anyone buying trees, the return for most baharama trees -- fig and up, is much higher than for the regular trees. check to be sure (banana and coconut, particularly are lower)

I may throw some stuff at this event to get some coins but I will probably just hold onto those coins for now. I got 3 of each of the trees last time around (thank goodness, just wish I would have gotten more :p:p) And I am not too happy with the short notice...already ate buffs for my animals so I wasn't about to put them away and waste the buffs. 2 of my fields were already covered in trees like normal and 1/2 of another so whatever wonderfruits I get will have to do;)xD Good luck to anyone doing this and hope you get what you are trying for:D:D

There's no need to disagree with something I didn't say.

Your personal choice coincides with mine, with the difference I wouldn't sell any, but that doesn't change the fact that it's the absolute best current tree in terms of ExV-generating power. In fact, I will not only deliver no sandalwood fruit but almost no other fruit as well, for that matter.

The list was not intended as a suggestion but as a guide on quickly recovering your ExV stock, an illustration of how many unsuspected candidates actually perform better than others that seem shinier: those who have Premium Membership still active can fully take advantage of that through auto-harvesting regardless of how long each individual tree takes to get ripe. Instead, for those who don't, then mainly the times and how frequently a player is able to access the game determines the best trees to pick.

The list still stands as a guide for either kind of player for ExV-generation from trees: with or without Premium Membership.

Thanks, Aluntino. I did finally remember what you told me regarding long time crops/trees and drop rates, and I set my farm up accordingly.
I totally agree. If there's something you really want, especially if it's something you can't get any other way, then go for it. I'm saving my coins for now, but as soon as something becomes available that I really want, I'll be all in. ;)

Woody, I always look careful to weight up the Pros and Cons to every Event. As i already read the Event FAQ to see what nice rewards we get as at times they are lovely rewards. Only some of the times.

As it always depends what we need to give in return. I do not really bother going for Super Grow, Suzy Super Grow, Super Mulch to waste my Farm Coins or Star Coins the reason being i have Jumbo Trees that can reward me these items which i can grow at any time i want....Those of you who have Jumbo Trees have this Luxury ;)

I agree with Poppy it makes lots of sense to use Farm Coins to get Items that you cannot get via Barter Gift Event, Farm Wheel Spins, Farm Society Quests. :p

It is a mistake for Farmerama to set this Event as Easy as many farmers do not have huge Stock or hoards of Tree Fruits in their Barn. It deems quiet unfair on Newbie Farmers, even some high level farmers have depleted Barn Fruit Stocks upgrading Crop Trophy or previous events where Fruit Donations are required or even fulling Farm House Orders as such

Baha Trees are more worthy of Growing compared to Main Farm Trees. 1) using PAC gives use +1 Fruit on all Baha Fruit Trees. 2) Baha Trees gives us TEP, which helps us gain 5GB each time we level up Auto Tree harvest is huge help on this, 3) Baha Fruit Trees has the Best EV Fruit Values that is always ideal to Donation Based Events But the downside to Baha Trees are very expensive to buy from the Store :wuerg:

Let us be optimistic to hold onto our hard earned farm coins in hope we get lovely decent prizes soon ;)

I reached 120 coins in this event, so I bought myself the 4 trees. And that's it for me.
Just a sec ago I got +200 %EP on the farmwheel, which should help me level up soon (esp in baha).
Running PAC gives me +1 fruit on baha per tree (haven't seen any booster like that for mainland trees).
So all in all my strategy is: event finished for me, and now stocking up!

    Good luck everybody

@Nellie_Noodles do what your barn is comfortable doing, the real objective is to get some Farm Coins. Even just a few for future use is a good thing. You don't have to use any right now! :p

I've done the 20 donations thanks to @-poppyseed- hard work
And am planning on doing 4 more for another 20 Coins using
    @-poppyseed- 's method: [Small 11, Large 4, Medium 8 & Large 5] for EV value 608,100.
That will give me 75 Coins at a total cost of 2,102,600 EV or 28,035 EV per Coin.

Thou I will WAIT to make further donations until my last harvest just before the event ends to maximize the Wonderfruit drops & save my barn a little. ;)

As per German Forum, the compensation bonus can be claimed until 7:00 pm CET today.
So I claimed it just a few minutes ago, which was working.
After getting my 160 coins for four trees, I stopped donating and just stocked up my barn.
Strategy for the rest of the event for me is donating the wonderfruit I am getting from tree harvests, putting fruit in as needed to complete small steps and keeping the coins for the future.

I am not complaining about prices or the amount of donations, as it is my choice to play the event or not.

    Have a great wekend everybody

I shall use the drops to get a couple of extra coins but don't intend to donate too many fruits, just enough to make up the shortfall with the drops value.

I pay no attention to these labels, since have not found ANY of their event easy/medium/hard labels to make sense. Medium is more often reasonable, but that is more by "accident" or "default" than any real sense to their designs.

I did all I'm planning to do. Like dafodily, I did a few extra steps. I ended up with 100 coins total in my collection. It's a start :p
For anyone with extra wonderfruit and an unfinished crop trophy, you can donate them to the Country Fair quest for 400 EV each. Otherwise, they'll be exchanged 50 ep/cc per drop.

Do we need to spend all our farm coins before the event ends? Or will it be brought forward to the next?

    dafodily Forum Duke

@FarmerDelight you can spend the coins ANYTIME use the market basket where you buy trees, animal stables & crops. You'll see another button with the Farm Coin icon. That's why you can/should get them to the level your comfortable using the fruit in your barn. You can spend them now if there is something you really want/need or save them up for several months for future events. This is a new feature from BP.
