I haven't got any strategy but thought I would get the ball rolling with an SOS thread:

This Excite New Event will run for 6 Whole Days from 22nd to 28th February. I am British Farmer playing Farmerama. As Some of you may know that This Event is Based on very Popular British TV Series called The Great Bake Off...

Now we can share and have Fun to Bake and Create a Cake of Choice for Bake Challenge.

To Start off with Request to Match 1 Cake, by Half way Stage we have to Match 2 Cakes, then at Last Stage have to Match 3 Cakes

When This Event Starts you have to Place -

Bakery Shop

Size: 1x2
Time: 6 hours (3 hrs with a cake boost applied)
Gives: 1 x Cake Voucher + 750 EP / TEP
After event balancing: 750 EP/TEP

In Any of the Field of your Choosing [Main Farm, Green Meadow, The Glade, Bahamarama or Rainforest] Field

This Gives you a Cake Voucher Every 6 Hours. But if you add Cake Boost if reduces the time by 50%.

You also need to Place the Egg Timer in any field of your Choosing [Main Farm, Green Meadow, The Glade, Bahamarama or Rainforest] Field

Egg Timer

Size: 1x1
Time: 6 hours
Gives: 2 x Cake Boost + 375 EP/TEP
After event balancing: 375 EP/TEP

This Egg Timer Produces 2 x Cake Boost Every 6 Hours.

You can also Produce Cake Boost from Main Farm Mill Only !!

Cake Boost Requirement (3 Hours Milling Time)

• 40 x Wheat
• 40 x Cucumber
• 10 x Apples

The Benefit of Cake Boost increase the time duration of Mini Game, Which needs 1 Cake Voucher per Mini Game. As Cake Boost gives you more time for Mini Game which Increase Chances to get more Points. You can Add Cake Boost Bakery Shop to reduce time down to 3 Hours to Get Cake Voucher.

Drop Item: Cake Voucher (Only from Stables/Workshops/Trees and Breeding). I think we can Gift them as Gift to Neighbours and Buddies too as FAQ currently not mention it yet !!

As we can only Mill Cake Voucher every 3 Hours during 6 Days Event we can mill 48 Cake Vouchers this Way.

We need to Prepare our Farms the best items we have to get a good amount of Cake Vouchers when Event Starts, Planting Trees/Stables/Workshops/Breeding to get Cake Vouchers....We will not be getting any Cake Vouchers from Crops as we going to need lots of Wheat and Cucumbers and quiet a few Apples too. But we can get these from Apple Trees as they are 12 Hour Tree !!

I have no idea either. The worst thing is, that there is a happy harvest day announced for the same date the event starts, giving double EP on field crops, but drops are NOT coming from fields!! What were they thinking?? What are they smoking?

So my strategy: put out trees and stables to get as many drops as possible, as they are always the event killers!harvest stables and put animals into the breeding stall and forget about the harvest day!

I can't do any calculations for anything in this case as it is unknown, how many "big orders" are coming in, giving additional points per successful cake. We will see how it goes.

AUNTIE EDITH SAYS: Ok, here are some calculations:
worst case - every cake fails and you only get 1 cake orders - you get 5 points each. To get to 1000 point you need 200 orders
best case - you are a genius, can remember all cakes and get only 3 cake orders - means you need only 16.666 =17 orders to get to 1000 points
average case - you are average talented in baking and remembering, so you get an average of 25 points per order - means you need 40 orders to get 1000 points.
sorry another EDIT:for the first 130 points we ONLY get 1 cake orders, after that until 800 points we get 2 cake orders and then only 3 cake orders!!
now best case means: 9 tickets +20 tickets+ 4 tickets = total 32 tickets
worst case means : 26 tickets+ 67 tickets+ 14 tickets = total 107 tickets needed.
AFTER that, there are only 3-cake orders to get the mini prizes.
sorry for that misunderstanding on my side.
CONCLUSION: Drops will be HORRIBLE to non existent

If I have mistaken anything, please correct me! (as per German FAQ there is only one ticket per order (unimportant if 1-cake orders or 3-cake orders)

This is different I won't be breeding unless there is a BBD. Hopefully they change the Happy Harvest to one of the other ones for trees or stables. If you have the mill subscription that should cut the milling time in half, correct? I really hope this event is better than the last one

Edit: I see we can get 2 of the Egg Timers in the first step. If placing trees out for this, 20hr will probably give better drops, correct? I don't have the auto-harvest but for those that do, you might want to turn it off. Don't forget to eat buffs to help reduce the time on stables and the buff that reduces tree time in Baha (don't remember which one) It would be really great to win that weasel and the BB's at the end but that sure seems like alot of points!!

 

Which are the best stables to place? the ones which take longest or the ones with highest value? Thanks

My understanding of the event

1. No event crops


2. Event drop item

1. There is an event drop item - Cake Voucher
2. It is needed to play the mini game
3. 3 vouchers are given for free initially
4. Drop item can be got from all fields and from trees, pens, workshops and breedings
5. Drop items will not be got from crops
6. You can also get the cake voucher from the base decoration item given for free at the start of the game mill item

3. There is a mill item - Cake Boost

1. It can be milled only in the mainland mill
2. Mill item is needed for reducing the time of harvest of the said base item or for increasing the mini-game timing
3. For milling

Cake boost = 40 x wheat + 40 x cucumber + 10 apples
Time: 3 hours

4. How to play

1. To play one mini-game, you need one cake voucher.
2. You have to bake cakes and deliver to tthe customers for which you will recieve points.
3. You have to memorize the 3 ingredients (Sponge, Icing and Decoration ) of a cake that the Customer asks you and make the cake & deliver it
4. First you will be required to make only one cake. When you reach 130 points you have to make 2 cakes and when you reach 800 points you have to make 3 cakes.
5. There is a limited time to memorize the ingredients and also to make the cake

Time to memorize & time to cake – time is in seconds

When you use the voucher alone

1 cake 4 sec to memorize & 15 sec to make
2 cake 8 sec to memorize & 20 sec to make
3 cake 12 sec to memorize & 25 sec to make

When you use the voucher + boost
1 cake 10 sec to memorize & 22 sec to make
2 cake 15 sec to memorize & 25 sec to make
3 cake 20 sec to memorize & 35 sec to make​

Points & rewards.

1. When delivering the cake to the customer you receive points that will be added to the progress bar and you will get rewards as you reach the certain level.
2. You will also get rewards for delivering the cakes too.
3. Whether you make the right cake or if you make mistakes you get points.More points if you make the right cake and less if you bake the wrong one
4. To get the cloud row with its item, you need to do the first 5 steps. For that you have to get 200 points from serving the cakes.
5. If you wish to proceed further, you can do the remaining 5 steps so. To finish the grand total of 10 steps you need 1000 cake points in total.
6. If you want to continue playing there is also a 11th step
7. For

1 cake - correct cake - 15 points ; wrong cake - 5 points,
2 cake - correct cake - 35 points ; one correct - 29 points ; both wrong cake - 10 points
3 cakes - 60 points; 2 correct - 40 points ; 1 correct - 25 points ; all 3 wrong cake - 15 points

My observation is that you need not panic or feel the game is complex. Initially you need to deliver only one cake. So you can remember 3 options. So for one cake you need not waste the cake boost to enhance the time. As you do more cakes you will remember the options easily & when you go to 2 & 3 cakes, you can use the boost to enhance the cake.

Useful Tips/Facts and Advice

• Try to get as Many Cake Vouchers as you can
• Harvest your Farm of Trees, As Often as you can using 12 Hour Trees, XXL Trees, using Super Mulch
• Vial of Growth Reduces Baha TEP Trees by Further 10% Growing Time
• Use Trees that has the Highest EP/TEP to get most Cake Vouchers
• Babysitter Cloud Row Reduce Animal Pen by 5%
• Easter 2012 Cloud Row Reduce Animal Pen by 10%
• Cheese Ball Buff Reduce Animal Pens by 5%
• Valentine Pot Buff Reduce Animal Pens by 10%
• Santacon Cloud Row Reduce Workshop by 5%
• Valentine 2015 Row Reduce Workshiop by 5%
• Church Bouquet Buff Reduce Workshop by 10%
• Guava Jam Buff Reduce Workshop by 5%
• Workshop Master Rune Reduce Workshop by 10%
• Stable Master Rune Reduce Animal Pens by 10%
• You can get More Cake Vouchers than you can produce Cake Boosts. So cannot Produce Cake Boost to every Cake Voucher !!
• Using Every Cake Voucher Try to get as many Points as you can. Once you reached 1000 Cake Points. Any Surplus Cake Voucher will reap you Great Rewards
• Mini Game Points 0 to 75 will offer just one Cake to Match
• Mini Game Points 75 to 800 will offer Two Cakes to Match
• Mini Game Points 800 or More Even Beyond 1000 will need Three Cakes to Match
• Once you completed the Event Progressing Bar at Level 10 The Bakery Shop will stop producing Cake Vouchers
• Egg Timer will also stop producing Cake Boost, Once Completed Event Progress Bar at Level 10
• Place Egg Timer and Bakery Shop in your Fields as soon as Event Starts
• Try to Get As Many Points as you can with Each Cake Voucher
• There is no Limit to Number of Mini Games played Depending how many Cake Vouchers you get get
• Level 11 Prizes are worth Trying to Aim for if you can and Reap Lovely Prizes
• Try to Avoid Growing Crops during this Event as cannot get any Cake Vouchers
• Ensure you have ample amount of Wheat, Cucumbers and Apples to Mill Cake Boost, as you can get Approx 48 Cake Boost at Least but need to Constantly Milling Cake Boost. If you have Super Mill Reduce Cake Boost Milling Time by 10%
• Note: Egg Timers, Two of them only be Acquired 1 from Medium Basket Buy, 1 from Large Basket Buy
• Try not to use Cake Boost when doing just 1 Cake save them for doing 2 or 3 Cakes Mini Game. If you not willing to get Egg Timers. They do take a while to Mill in Main Farm
• I am sure will be able to Give Cake Vouchers to Neighbours and Buddies as it helps to have many Cake Vouchers as possible (It is not mention that we be able to send Cake Vouchers as Gift (Wait and See as FAQ not yet say so))
• When Milling Cake Boost on Main Farm Mill try to avoid Idle Time, so that you can make at least 48 Cake Boosts. Would suggest to Mill At least 48 Cake Boosts in one go as soon as Event Starts so you will need 1920 Wheat, 1920 Cucumbers, 480 Apples !!

We are lucky that we are on the sunny side of the world. GERMANY has huuuge problems with the eventy. It hasn't started, everything's delayed, people have harvested and got NO drops etc. etc. etc.

 

Okay, I have to own up to being completely lost - but your post has probably explained everything Clohahmon. I cannot find my Cake Bakery building, have started harvesting and thought I saw three vouchers but now I can't find them! Doh! I am right next door to Germany so guess I am one of the unlucky ones. Oh well, c'est la vie!

I can't even access the compensation package! Maybe I will take a nap and just forget the event for the moment - just when I have a few hours to spare!

 

The drop rate looks pretty bad. I was able to get only 18 from all five fields of trees. I did want to drop by and post my strategy for actually playing the event.

I plan on using scratch paper to write down the combinations. Due to the event timer being short, there's very little room for being "neat" or "detailed" with these notes, so I've broken them down into color. There are only five different colors for each portion of the combination. Here's what I'm using:

Cake Batter
B = Brown
W = White
P = Pink
Y = Yellow
R = Red

Cake Frosting
B = Brown
W = White
P = Pink
Y = Yellow
U = Blue

Cake Topping
B = Brown
W = White
P = Pink
Y = Yellow
R = Red

I start with the cake batter and work my way up as this is the order the game will ask you to reconstruct the pieces in. For example, the three that I've completed already have been Y-B-Y (Yellow Cake, Brown Frosting,Yellow Topping), P-B-W (Pink Cake, Brown Frosting, White Topping), and W-B-W (White Cake, Brown Frosting, White Topping). This system also means I do not have to look at my screen, then back at some chart, then back to my screen. I look at the screen, and write down the letter of what I see, without losing time going back and forth.

I hope this can help someone, it's been working for me. Good luck with the drops.

One last note. I plan on saving the rest of my vouchers for near the end of the event. This will hopefully allow me to use the 1-Cake and 2-Cake games as a warm up to the 3-Cake games, making sure that I'm as well practiced as I can be.

Am trying to find out where we get the timer and the bakery ...does anyone know ?

The event has started hasn't it ? what makes me ask is the magic trees generally have the drop ...today they haven't

 

Bakery was with the decorations. Egg Timer must be bought from the baskets. Also found in the decorations tab.

 

I got 6 cake vouchers ...My Fields are covered with trees by the hundreds and stables and got 6 that's an Insult
I am NOT buying anything from farmerama ..with how this game is going and whats happening
Looked forward to this event ...but think i will give it a miss and go and play another game

 

This is so weird, but I finished- already. I was sick yesterday, so I just put out my longest trees, and some longer animal stalls and left them. Today I used the camera on my phone to snap a quick pic of each order, and it was super easy. Just be careful what you select, because you can't go back and change anything once you've clicked on something.

It's definitely possible to finish already. I was able to get 21 Vouchers to start the game (18 from drops, 3 free), and with a basket that would give me 31. I did the game math yesterday and it only takes 30 games with perfect scores to complete the event. So even with the low drop rate this event is worthwhile in my opinion. I've got 6 days or so to get 9 more vouchers to complete the event.

Plus this will give me a nice break from my normal routine. I've put stables up on all my mainland fields and added the Valentines Pot and Eggnog buffs to make them faster, and left my trees up on Baha with a Pineapple Cake buff going.

 

This farm was the guinea pig for trying the event and I have already discovered that I can remember 5 of the 6 ingredients correctly for the 2 cake orders. Unfortunately, that means I got most of those wrong when I was practicing. I used 10 vouchers and stopped. My strategy is now similar to Decree's in that I am using initials for the ingredients (although different than Decree's...I am using C for chocolate) and so far on my 2nd farm (BillyWhiskers), I have used all 23 vouchers with a perfect score so should finish the event tonight or tomorrow on that farm.

I was really worried it was going to be hard but I am loving this event! Great prizes, not a lot of time invested, and allows me to work on building up peacocks.
