Despite my initial hiccough, and with just 31 Cake Vouchers (including the three freebies), I am in the last section and I just got me a Weasel! Wahoo!

Going to have a go on the other farm just for the sheer thrill of it. What a wonderful change! I do think this one was probably a little too quick but it has given everybody a bit of well needed buzz after the more recent events which were a little disappointing! What fun!

I had just 14 cake vouchers in total, so way to go..and two wrong cakes, but got the stables now as well. Will do my best to get the weasel!

 

Getting the ingredients right - above post is most useful and is my tactic also -
give each option a single letter to remember (eg my toppings are N(ut) C(herry) H(hundreds & thousands) F(ruit) S(strawberry)
write them down vertically from top to bottom then read your notes bottom to top to make the cakes. Working so far !

 

I got 62 vouchers during my initial harvest. and 3 free + 2 from compensation. So totally 67. I had 4 howies. That increased my total by 12. So without howies it would have been 50. I had workshops & trees and pens in baha

Done and finished with the event. Did 11th, 12th 13th ...steps too. Finished for today and will continue tomorrow.

 

Since my initial harvest at event start with meger 14 drops, I had harvested some animals and trees.
Number of Drops: ZERO, NADA, NIENTE!! Unbelievable
have now one whole field with one kind of trees and will see, if this will give me at least a few drops.
Rebuilding the other fields too, so that everything on one field is ready at the same time.

 

All who have "finished" have you extended event bar to 1000? If so well done.. I am struggling as I stupidly did long term crops - didn't read event closely enough. Now on 2 cakes and it seems I don't have a photographic memory - one ingredient wrong and it goes to pot! Oh well will try to scribble down the ingredients tomorrow...

Take pics of the cakes ordered on your smartphone, so you don't have to remember Obviously it works great.

Am Only playing this event for the BB's ....i might get them If i can remember what the cake look like
So far have only opened three presents ...so tells how many drops i have had and every square in my farm is covered with either a tree or stable

 

I got 36 from my initial harvest (33 + 3 free) and I thought that was bad but after reading all the comments I have more hope!! However, I did forget to set out that giver and started milling egg timer things When I put in 48 (?) it was like 60 hrs so I backed it off to 10 13h?m. Ye gads Many thanks to all of you who have offered diff tips and strategies for getting this done

 

So far harvested 10 fields with nothing but buildings and trees. no crops. got only 10 drops. Several got none, 2 got 3!!!

 

I decided to just mill 1 egg timer thing at a time - seems they are best used to cut the time of bakery shop giver to 3 hr
Taking a cell phone picture works great.

 

I'm so jealous of all you longer-term players. I have a young farm, not enough pens and trees to fill fields completely. I added as many extras as I could last night, harvested this morning, and got ONE drop. One. Luckily, the smartphone picture trick is working great, so out of six cakes, I only messed up my first. But at this drop rate, for me it's going to be a loooooong event...

how do you get the bake shop and/or egg timer, is it in our inventory. I don't see them??? Help????

 

The bakery shop is in the decorations tab - the egg timer you only get from medium and large baskets
The bakery shop will give 1 voucher every 6 hrs (3hrs if you give it a booster) - you have some free boosters and then it takes 3 hrs to mill another so boost the bakery shop and mill a boost and you have a guaranteed 4 or 5 vouchers/day even if nothing on your farm gives you drops.

With that in mind I am thinking of going back to regular farming - if a pen or workshop doesn't yield a voucher - rip it out and put in something useful.
