SOS Descend into the Temple Drop Items/Monkey Tablets

The The Descend into the Temple Event starts TOMORROW and this thread is for those who need a helping hand from fellow farmers to finish or achieve personal goals during this event.

The (very rough) estimated daily/24 hour period requirement is:

70 Monkey Tablets

Always remember to save your gifts till after the event starts so you can start to send event items straight away!

If you need anything else for the event, ask for it here.

My main farm (Illy1996) usually manages to get all drops. If I do need help, I will post here.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, so if not, please feel free to move it.

I am level 158 on Baha and have only trees on my Baha field.
On my rainforest field I have 23 stalls and the rest are 1x1 plots.
I harvested Aloe (the crop I need at the moment) along with all 23 stalls after this event started as well as my whole field of trees and only received 9 drops (monkey tablets) - 7 from the rainforest and only 2 from Baha (trees). Is there a specific ratio that will give me more drops? Any advice on which animal stalls I should rather place to increase my chances for drops?

If this is the norm for the drops in this event then I'm afraid, no matter how much help I receive, I won't be able to reach my goals...

Any advice is much appreciated!

 

I've just re read the info and the drops are only from the Baha islands. So this will be a very slow game regarding drops.

 

From the drop rate I'm getting.....I would really appreciate any help with drops! I started this event thinking I had a chance (level 87 Baha, 78 Main), but maybe I am wrong about that, and am still too new (Dec. 18th) to be able to get the necessary drops.

I have the Rainforest open, and half the main field, and my barn is in decent shape for a young farm, but there is no way I can complete the entire event. However, I have a plan to get about halfway. I would very much like the wonder trees and stables. If anyone has extra drops they don't need and would be willing to donate, I would very much appreciate it. Thanks so much in advance for your help!

 

Hi! Im level 180 on baha. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I switched to pens on one field and trees on the other when my drops were so low. That hasn't seemed to make much of a difference. I've only received 124 drops total. I still have 230 to go.

I have my trophies to 27/30. I have two magic trees. I don't know what else I need to do to increase my drops.

 

So, an update. Thanks to all of your help, I have gotten some wonder trees and an event curtain! Now I'm banging on the door to room six. I keep adding up the tree fruit in my barn, and shaking my head. Not enough, Not enough. My only hope is monkey tablets. Thanks in advance to whoever has more to throw my way!

 

An update from me. Thanks so much everyone for your help, it is much appreciated! I am now on round 3/3 on all doors, just opened the first one of round 3. Most of the prizes that I wanted, I have been able to get so if anyone needs the monkey tablets more, please send it to them, I'll see how far I get with the drops. If I want to open all doors, I need another 190 monkey tablets. I average between 30 and 40 drops per day so even if I won't make it for all of them, I'll get the things I most need. Number of Drops required to achieve personal target: need 8 to obtain wave, however, see below.
I have finished all donations except the last one in the mask of dreams, which requires 1,600,000 value of tree fruit. I have not done the calcs, but I don’t think I have enough of items nor enough that I am willing to part with to donate and complete.
I have a good mix of trees, animal pens, highest being a swan and hippo, that I only just received from the last quest. I am planting physalis and hybiscus most of the time and one crop of vanilla, or similar in the evening between work and before I plant a longer crop for over night.
Event Status:
Lost access to my farm for several months, which put me behind in missing events, bananas, etc. Now, just trying to catch up in inventory, level etc. Other then that, just RL like everybody else.
Personal Target:
I have 4 circles and one square in inventory and need a wave to open the next door. I have the centers of 5 of the red “rubies” which indicate the number of rooms left to open, left to complete. I only want to open enough doors, so that I have not wasted my donations.

 

Hi, I'm level 161 on baha and have pens and trees on baha and trees and some crops in rainforest. I'm only averaging around 17 drops on each. I don't think I'll finish the event but would like to get all the pens and trees. I'd appreciate it if anyone could send me monkey tablets. If I can, I will send you one in return if needed. Thanks.

Thanks for the help. I still have 128 to go, but I'm accepting that it isn't going to happen. My drops are just too low.

 

My latest update: Thanks to everyone's generosity, I have managed to get both sets of Wonder Trees. Now I'm trying to circle back around and get the stables. I can manage the animals just fine, the tree fruit and I are in negotiations, so at this point it is all about the monkey tablets. Any more I could get would be awesome. Thanks again in advance!

 

At the time you posted, you were within the approximate daily requirement level (70 per 24 hours) so don't give up! Maybe convert both fields to trees tonight* then the longest pens possible during the final day. Fingers crossed for you!

* Make sure you plant them early enough so that you can harvest them and put out other things before the end of the event.

Also, the very last step of the FSQ gives no keys at all. So if you haven't already finished this level, leave it till last and only submit the 60 Monkey Tablets when you have all the keys you need.

I have to say, the people on this forum are really special people - generous beyond words! Thank you all so much for all the drops you are giving!! They are the only reason I have made it this far!

Currently I am at the last door of room 6, but have only three more doors to go after that. This door requires a wave key that costs 1,600,000 worth (barn value!) of Baha trees. After that, only 108 drops to get the final keys are needed.
I have 2 options.....and would like to ask the opinions of wiser heads than mine, please?

My barn has been emptied to get this far, as I'm too young a farm to be well stocked, and I have had to purchase trees. My trees are opened only to Lychees, but I also had many of the wonder trees. I've also spent approx. 5 million cc's purchasing more trees so far.

Option 1: Spend more millions to buy trees to fulfill this last tree requirement and then continue?? (I still have 77 million left)

Option 2: Should I stop now and relinquish the final prizes, as I cannot progress without opening this door.

I have been unable to decide. On the one hand, I like to finish what I start. On the other hand, are the prizes worth spending all those millions on trees??

You have done well with your young farm in having good working capital. Your investment in trees will serve your farm well in the years to come. Are you using Pineapple cake with each harvest? It boosts your fruit from 4 to 5 per tree. We have just 1 more day of the event so I don't think you can raise the 1.6 million worth. You would have to purchase fruit in the market if you wanted to finish the event.

Is it worth it? Only you can decide for yourself. Market prices for fruit are more than double barn value right now so you would need to spend close to 5 million to buy the fruit needed for donation. You do have the funds to do that. Since you are on the final rooms of the event, what prizes are left that you are considering? I know the curtain is in room 8 so what do you have left in room 6 and 7?

Ask yourself, will you be excited to complete this event that is challenging to young farms with little stock? Will you be disappointed if you don't complete it? Or will you be upset that you invested so much in it with little reward?

I donated the monkey tablets only on my farms as I didn't want to part with thousands of trees and hundreds of animals. I don't want my choice of the event to persuade you but just letting you know my own decision. My young farms needed the time to build stock as I didn't want to burn the barn.

I only would have wanted the trees and stables. The PF was too small to worry about and the rest wasn't a motivator to finish (for me). I reminded myself that all things come to the farms whether from quests, farmwheel, Fuzzles, seasonal giveaways (advent), or Gift and Trade.

UPDATE: I need 50 more monkey tablets to complete the last Quest that grants only points, etc. I am receiving approx. 20-30 drops per harvest, so, I might be able to get most on my own.
No more needed for Waves, etc. I do believe I have enough fruit to finish the last level of the donations. 1,600,000. As I am so close, I would like to complete it all. HOWEVER, if there are other farmers that need the tablets for Waves, etc., please donate to them 1st. A big shout out, THANK YOU to all that have gifted me. Please let me know if I can ever be of help in return.

 

I can only speak for myself. I would choose option 2 without a doubt. In fact, I wrote a strategy which suggested the best route for this event was to only complete 15 out of the 24 steps in the event. The determining factor was simple. Cost vs. Benefit is really high for this event. The end giver, with all of its curtains isn't overly impressive or give much benefit to the farm. So if it were up to me I would definitely stop and save the tree fruit for another event which is sure to give better compensation for all that work.

An option 3 might be to buy the basket which has some runes in it and seems fairly cheap for an event basket? I don't know as I usually avoid them, but this one struck me as different.
