    I have to complain!!!
Once again Baby Boom was done in a short eight (8) hour window that was
not fair to all the farmers around the world!!!
In my opinion -not that anyone asked- any event, no matter how big or small should never be less than 24 hours. Almost everyone should be able to get in on the event within a 24 hour period. But when they are done for only 8 hours it really puts limits to people.
Take me for example; I leave or work at 6:30 am and do not return home till 4-4:30 pm that is 10 hours away from home and a computer. The event did not even start for an hour and a half after I left for work and it's getting over just before or as I am returning home.
I'm sure there are a lot of stories just like mine out there too. ?
    ?????
I have a question? How long can your breeding animals sit in the love shack after they are ready to be harvested??
Not that I could have done this with this Peacock event seeing that they were not even available to breed until 8 am when the baby boom started. Perhaps in the future maybe I could start some breeding before I leave for work and just catch them before the boom event is over, that is if I get home just in time but if I should not get home in time how long can they set in the shack?
    Does anyone know?

This is a common complaint. However, there's good news. Let me explain.

Every time they have a breeding event they start it with a small 4-8 hour Baby Boom Day. Then, once that is done, they announce another 24-48 hour Baby Boom Day for later in the event, usually it will start around Thursday or Friday so that people who work all day/week have time on the weekend to take advantage of the Baby Boom Day. The second Baby Boom Day always comes with a Power Feed sale.

The assumption here is that they are trying to entice people to use the Power Feed they have so that they'll need/want more Power Feed when the sale and second Baby Boom Day comes along.

To answer your question, they can sit in the love shack as long as you want. In this case I would suggest leaving them until the next Baby Boom Day comes around in a couple days.

In any event, do not fret, you'll always have access to a Baby Boom Day during breeding events. I hope this helps.

I hope I'm not hijacking this thread, I don't want to do something considered rude, but I am so glad someone asked this question. I was an idiot and did not check the length of the Baby Boom. I assumed it was 24 hours, and had a very big shock when I harvested my first two breedings and got only one animal each! Thank you for letting us know the others can just sit in there indefinitely until they can be harvested. That takes a load off my addled mind!

It's no problem. I'm pretty sure the short BBD has caught everyone here off guard at least once. I know it's happened to me.

Yet we can expect another BBD for sure very soon. BP isn't going to pass an opportunity to sell PF with a breeding event currently in full swing and a BBD usually coincides with a PF Sale, which makes sense as it encourages players to buy more PF.

No @eowynruss you are not hijacking anything, as far as I'm concerned. This is an open form Game Related Chit Chat. I welcome conversation. Glade this thread is helping other too.

Thank you, Decree your answer was very helpful. Explains a lot and I'm glad to know that there will be a longer Boom coming. Just one more question. how to word this... The animals left sitting in the shack will automatically have the Baby Boom applied to them? Hope that made sense.
If the answer is yes, then it would stand to reason that when we know a boom is coming we can go ahead and start breeding but wait for the Boom to start before harvesting them?

Kinda like when we plant our crops but wait for an event to start to get the drops.?

Exactly right :) They are ready and waiting when the BB starts, and you get the full benefit of it-- plus you can save some pheromones.

Yep, this is a strategy people have been using for a long time. The only issue that ever really arises is in the case of a non-breeding animal (peacock, rare stable, etc) becoming a breeding animal. It's only then that you cannot pre-load the love shack.

And you have to resist that crazy urge to harvest those shacks before BBD:pxDxD Sometimes I am dying to know what might be in there but have to tell myself STOP!!!xDxD

  11. I think knowing that another BBD is almost invariably coming on the Friday evening (British time) when we have a breeding event, means if real life intervenes and I didn't manage to do the early one, I can just leave it and still complete the tasks

Yep, and you can pretty much guarantee that they will always do another BBD later in the event. The only time I would ever worry that they weren't going to do a BBD later in the event is if the short/early BBD comes with a PF sale. That would make me suspicious. If it does not include a PF sale than it's most likely there will be a longer one later that is accompanied by a PF sale, since that's a part of how they get paid and stay in business. A BBD without a PF sale is just bad business.
