Sorry to confuse Clonahmon. Yes indeed, I set up 132 breeding animals to be ready for today but not Peacocks unfortunately! Just picked the ones I had the most of (mainly Ducks), figuring I would leave it to Lady Luck to bless me ... think she's on holiday!

 

Got a sun peacock from a base today - best skip I've ever had! Good luck to everyone with the event!

Ηi Escalonilla! I wanted to say to you that I am visiting your country, I am happy you saw my post
I will go to Barcelona for 5-6 days! Now there will be excitement in the town right? 6-1 against Paris is a great result!
We will also visit Camp Nou! Imagine how excited the boys of my class are
In the start of July I will finish school and exams and I will have vacation and yes it seems sooo far away...but maybe it's not, time passes fast.

Today I logged in to my farm at 10 and the Baby boom had one hour left! I didn't want to lose this event too, so I started breeding and hopefully now I have gathered all the bird badges I need. The harvest helpers really helped me being faster! I have finished some of the tasks but I will complete the event tomorrow because I don't want to rush now. I don't know if I had any good skips I will check tomorrow, I only bred normal and the next leveled peacocks and some ducks and ostriches.

Is anyone else having problems getting enough wood boards??
The Menageries, etc., are bad enough...there are so many things we need soooo many wood boards for...and now Peacocks, too!
It seems that ever since they loosened up on Power Drills, they tightened up on giving as many wood boards. It has become extremely difficult to upgrade, especially the higher upgrade you do - and just recently I found myself turning down upgrading to PINK because there were so many other things that required the wood boards!!

And now we have the beautiful Peacocks...that require 2,300 wood boards to upgrade to Pink!

Why did they give us menageries, manufactories, etc., and now Peacocks, if it is almost impossible to use them to the full??

Is it just my farms having this difficulty?? What do you all think about this??


Edit: The requirements for building Peacocks has now been posted in the Workshop...and are much more reasonable....750 wood boards to upgrade to Pink.

Yep. Worst part about it is that there aren't any good refinement crops which can help with this problem either. It's become essential to have neighbors send toolboxes.

 

Thanks to farmlily3 to bring up wood boards as we need wood boards to upgrade an Menagerie, or Manufactory or Arboretum.

We do not need any woods for Slot 1,2,3 and 4 for Menagerie, Manufactory or Arboretum, But need 6000 Woods for Slot 5 and 6. Then need 12000 Woods for slot 7 and 8

It does not matter if you harvest your Farm frequently it will take very long time to obtain 6000 woods from Drops. It Takes even longer if you not fully upgrade your Crop or Animal Trophy or not got any Howie Donuts or got Living Legend Rune Unlocked.

To upgrade to a Pink Workshop or Pink Animal Pen on Average needs about 700 wood boards. But woods are needed to make New Production Workshops, when they are introduced into this game !!

It either a farmer who has been hoarding woods for several years playing this game or spend lots of Real Money buying loads of XXL Toolboxes to get more wood. We do have refinements to get more wood but not that much more woods. The quickest way is to neighbours or buddies to send you Toolboxes !! Or

Do any Quests that gives you XL Toolboxes or XXL Toolboxes....When you can, some times Events hand our XL/XXL Toolboxes as i can never get enough of these. It can be worrying when doing a New Breeding event to obtain a new Pink Workshop or Pink Pen got the Breeding Animals but not enough woods as many of us need to do a rethink on this Strategy !!

 

I try never to build yellow cages, I just buy them, it's a waste of tools.

 

My boards would be in short supply too but it is the animals I need to upgrade the storage facilities and to build high level upgrades.

Toolboxes are IMHO great daily gifts no matter what farm level. I typically ask for tools but I did go through a sugar shortage and asked for that for a while too.

 

Have got 16,442 wooden boards...this event is the first time I have ever used them for a very long time

 

It could be worse... It wasn't that long ago that Baha started giving Tools

 

Have done all i wanted to do ...didn't get my pink peacock ...But i can still try for it in the work shop ...only thing i didn't go for were the wonder stables ...don't think i could stand doing another round of the event ...found this event a little boring...am not the biggest fan of Baby doomer Don't think i have had a good skip from it ever
Have got some new coloured workshops ...so am happy with what i got

 

Of course you're right, Banjoman - however, before that happened, there was not the huuuge demand for them that there is now.
Once they introduced the Menageries,(6,000 wood boards for the 1st upgrade, & 12,000 wood boards for the 2nd upgrade), and the Manufactory, - even before then - the demand for wood boards has skyrocketed with each new introduction of an animal that can be upgraded...especially pinks, and production pinks. And now, a whole collection of Neons. I just upgraded to a Neon Frog: 1400 wood boards! The requirements for wood boards has become enormous because so many things require them now.

'Once upon a time' I also had thousands of wood boards - until I started upgrading my farm. I keep trying to save them for upgrading the menageries, etc., but by the time I can get a few thousand - along comes a new animal pen or production pen that wants upgrading, or a new Neon. Ziiiiiiip...no more thousands of wood boards.
It's 'back to the Drawing board' to start all over again!!

Of course one can buy toolboxes for BB's which I used to do occasionally...but the call for BB's has gone way up as well, and so -my farm at least- has to save them for all their many other purposes. Most of the Quests that give toolboxes have been done...or are too costly and not worth the sacrifice.

For anyone who wants to keep their farm upgraded, the number of wood boards required is becoming/has become a real problem.

 

Just got a motor duck in a crate full of birds ...hope they give me the rainbow peacocks next for the pink peacock cage
