Not sure if this is the right place to put this but seeing as this is not a suggestion for the actual developers and more for the players, I thought to put it here...

For the past two months, I've been selling apples in my market for WAY below the normal market price (going as cheap as 20cc sometimes), just as a way to help out newbies - usually I sell 10 x 10 apples this way. Now, there is no way to actually make sure that older, more developed farms aren't buying them all before the newbies get there, but it makes me feel better knowing I'm doing something that could potentially benefit someone just starting out. To make up for the loss in profit, I then sell 100 x 10 apples for the going rate.

So, any newbies on this forum, keep an eye on the apples in Market 13 (you have to be part of the same market). I'll continue to do this twice a week at least, might do it more often depending on how many apples I harvest.

Edit: I've just started adding eggs to this as well. Selling them way below the market price (I have several egg trees so it is no hardship for me), so keep a look out for eggs as well.

Not sure if any of the other farmers from different markets are doing the same but I just thought to put the suggestion out there.

Edit: If the mods allow, I'll edit this post every day to include the new 'special' I'll be selling at the market, as well as the time - so those in Market 13 will know what to look out for.

    17 March 2017 - 12:00 CET - 10 x 5 eggs at 100cc = 500cc per listing

That's an awesome idea. More should do this. I myself will do it when I can. How do you know what market you are in?

:DHere's an idea for developers "the newbie market" where only farms below a certain level can make purchases. Just a though I know it would be way to complicated.:p

Thanks, FrootloopGrove! I've put the suggestion under 'Player suggestions' now, hopefully making sense... :p So we'll see what happens. At least we tried ;)

Maybe seeing that numbers 23,26,28,29,33,35,36,38 and anything beyond 40 are not market number we could pick one to use in the pricing .xx would mean this stuff is intended for newbies?????

  6. It would be a good idea, if there could be a market only for newbies, but I suspect it's way beyond current technology. There are (as I understand it) over 30 different markets and you are designated one at random when you start. The difficulty would come at deciding what level should be the cut-off point and then transferring players to a different 'higher level market'. I think this is a good idea, so I'm not decrying it just for the sake of it, I just don't think it's possible technically.

I think brakenjan has a good idea, I often buy up the ones and twos of low cost items, because I suspect they have been put up for sale by newbies. I think I might put on some fruit(s), since I don't tend to grow crops to help out.
