I am reliably getting 12 drops from a full field of 2x2 fully nuked plots. Have fed eight bats. Mix of prizes, no stable like lucky clonahmon

 

After 4 hours, I have 65 (6 were gifts) Blood Tomato Sauces. I am going to do two more fields and then plant some 8 hour crops and call it a day. I am averaging 17 drops per harvest so at end of (my) farming day, I should have about 100 - just a tad short of the daily average requirement (estimated) which I am now going to call DARE! So not too bad IF we can get more drops from longer crops.

Oh well, somehow I had accumulated tons of SSG and SG - now severely depleted - hence the extra harvests. I am going for it!

 

Do we only get 4 jelly ear fungus with CAC from a 1x1 field ?

So far i have got 75 Blood Tomato Sauce 5 Hours into this Event. I got 29 Drops on Initial Harvest. The latest harvest has reaped me 19 Blood Orange Sauce.

Give or Take might be getting an Average of 100 Blood Tomato Sauce every 12 Hours. I have to do my up most best to keep it that way as it seem that Spooky Crops gives the best drops..

At the moment i am growing Spooky Crops at 50% Reduction, can only maintain this for only 24 Hours. Then only again every 48 Hours. In Between these days just takes bit longer to grow spooky crops even when using water, Manure and Terror Bouquet !!

I have the Silver Flame Incense Craft unlocked too. So Far So Good.

 

Yes, each 1x1 will provide a maximum of 4 yield unless a different buff is active.

Well, I'm off to a rough start!! Hardly got any sleep last night, so forgot everything this morning!! Planted late on 1X1's (!!), forgot all my buffs(!!)...was wondering why I was doing so poorly...though at least I got 10 drops 1st harvest.
Have fixed everything now, but will probably be up most of tonight making up for today! - thank you all for the reminders/strategies in this thread!!!

Congratulations on the 100% harvest bonus. You will need more coffee for those 24 hrs.

 

I'm getting almost the same, my average is about 10 drops from 2x2 nuked plots (event crops) - every hour as my TB, water, manure and SG on white innocence shortens it to 57 minutes. I only have enough SG to do this for one day so tomorrow I'll have to see what happens (I'll change it to 1x1 when my SG is finished). Prizes are mostly EP and TEP, nothing WOW yet.

I managed to get 30 drops from Glow Mold overnight - a slight improvement. I have reached the DARE before the 24 hour landmark. Might make it, who knows!

Don't think so Nellie - my initial two harvests were mainly 2x2s, trees and critters and I got 17 (including two gifts), from a field of 1x1 (event crops) drops nearly doubled - 27.

I think that with 1x1s, you have 202 chances whereas with with 2x2s, these chances are considerably less (can't do the maths with how many 2x2s and edge trees or 1x1s).

Once I have finished the event crops - very soon - I will try to plant 8 hour crops where time permits.

so far I got 219 drops (including 9 gifted ones). Not too bad a drop rate I think, as we are just 26 hours into the event. Daily necessary drop rate is 126.
All event crops grown by now to get the cloud row. 157 too many for that, but who knows, if I can manage to get the drops to do another round of feeding bats.
Second giver is sitting happily in my park aside the first giver.

Now growing lots of other MM crops to get some other items out of jacks shop and build up my barn.
100% harvest bonus from the party wheel was REALLY helping with all my achievements!

If the drop ratio is 126 drops a day ...am getting no where near that from growing jelly ear fungus...cannot stop growing these or won't be able to make kebabs

Well, this isn't great.
I have 160 drops so far after 33 hours, and that's with using the cloud row, terror boquets and a little super-grow for bulking up the event crop. Also including gifts from people and magic trees.
If that rate continues I'll end up with around 700 drops by the end...50 short. That's a really annoying amount to be short by. If it was loads short then fine, but 50 seems doable.

I do have a chance though...when the magic stalk has cooled down I'll try throwing all the time shortening stuff I have at my longest crops. The magic stalk row at 10% time reduction, manure 10%, super grow with sweet innocence and the Harvest 2014 cloud row.

Interestingly, for the second gold slot I calculate that I can use a terror bouquet for 20% off growing time or fruitcake for an extra 5% effectiveness on super grow....and they give the same result because they add the percentage discounts for super grow before applying it. That's how we get instant carnations or roses. Anyone else care to check my results?

Super grow gives 60% off growing time if you have the rune for it open, which I'm assuming. 10% bonus for sweet innocence and 5% for the cloud row gives 75% reduction off growing time, or 25% left. Then use a terror bouquet for a 20% reduction on that and you get 20% left of the original growing time (before you add water or manure, but those work the same both times)

Using fruitcake instead makes the super grow give an 80% reduction leaving 20% of the original growing time again.

Have I done the calculations right or did I get something wrong? I could be wrong on just how the buffs stack up. Otherwise, I'm using the fruitcake and selling any terror bouquets!

 

My suggestion is if you're going to use SG to nuke the crops, then use the Fruit Cake. If you're going to grow the crops, then use the Terror Bouquet.

 

@ Decree - does that mean you agree with my calculations that fruit cake / terror bouquet give the same bonus? That's the bit I'm not sure about.

 

I didn't do the math. I was just thinking about it logically. I'll do some math as soon as I can and get back to you.

Here's what I came up with. I've used an 8 hour crop for the base value.

Total time to grow using Terror Bouquet instead of Fruit Cake = 74.6496 minutes for a total reduction of 405.3504 minutes.

Total time to grow using Fruit Cake instead of Terror Bouquet = 77.76 minutes for a total reduction of 402.24 minutes.

So you can shave off roughly 3 minutes using a Terror Bouquet over a Fruit Cake.

Given that this is such a small amount of time, and you'll be investing SG into your crops I stand by my original suggestion of using FC when using SG, and TB when regular growing. The reason for this is the additional cost, for me a TB = 100k CC and higher during events. A Fruit Cake is usually 8k CC and never more than 20k CC.

So for me, spending 90k CC isn't worth 3 minutes of time saved.
