I was really looking forward to this event as I absolutely love the rewards and the graphics for the event items are exceptionally good.
I particularly like the fact that you get random rewards and that the event is open ended. This is my favourite type of event.

However, I'm saddened to see from the strategy thread that the initial drop rate is far too low for anyone to expect to finish the cloud row. I'm hoping this can be improved!

 

I love this event; mostly because it's part of MM: my favorite field/mini event each month. Also, because we are receiving great amounts of hard to come by GBs as rewards for feeding the fly by night event bats ~ huge thumbs up on that one! I also like that this event lasts a week tied into MM, making it last days longer than it normally does. Additionally, I appreciate that we can buy batty baskets to help us along the way. The only thing I would change is to have the event start on the actual full moon like it normally does. I guess that's not important, but I look forward to the full moon even more than I normally do because I know MM will be available! I hope the Fly by Night event will be recurring in conjunction with MM each month or something very similar.

 

Once again a great event, super graphics and fun to do - let down by the abysmal drop rate, exacerbated by the long growing time. On a full crop overnight harvest, I got 22 drops - giving 3 kebabs, which means effectively a maximum of 9 a day, realistically 6 a day, bearing in mind real life and work commitments take precedence.

Maybe a week will be long enough, but I think this is one I'll just take at my pace and whatever I get, I get. I suspect the fully-loaded cloud is out of reach though.

This one gets a 7/10 mainly because the playing field has been levelled (pun intended) for all players, which is nice for the lower levels and not too boring for the higher ones. Also, it's a really sweet game, and feeding bats to get a little fanged chest is really cute.

 

Drops are so low that any element of fun and fair play is removed

 

Just like to add another issue, which has just shown itself. Why are harvester functions, activated immediately you get them, a prize. There is no way to know you will get them as they are random, thus if like me you get a 12hr one at night, you can't use it and by the time you get back to the farm tomorrow it will be over.

I always hated these when I got them on the wheel, again because I usually did that late at night. There were a bad idea ten years ago; when they brought in vouchers I cheered, but now we're back to the bad idea again.

So lucky me, I can go to bed in the knowledge that my tractor will be chugging away happily to itself all night.

 

I have to agree with my cohorts. Cute came, fun to feed the bats and get prizes...drop rate is a joke...and I dont particularly like the one hour harvest helper, its usually a waste. I wish those type of prizes even in the challenges would just be coupons instead.

 

Just what I thought too

 

For one field to grow the crops on and to get drops from at a daily drop rate of 126 to complete this event is utterly ridiculous AND this is with LL completed which is suppose to help with drop rate ???

Since starting this event ...all i have got ...is 144 Blood tomato sauce drops and some of these neighbours have kindly sent me

AND I have been at my computer every time to harvest this field and plant more ...SO this doesn't help drops

Have another 675 jelly fungus to grow ...which will probably come from the field I have in now and probably another

AND 591 drops to get...so hopefully will get these from other crops i can plant
But not holding my breath
Would be a good event If the drops were not letting it down

 

I agree with what has already been said: nice event concept, good graphics, good prizes - there is always something that some don't want but it is not the same thing for everyone - so a good choice that should please the majority of farmers most of the time. The dedicated MM field means that we can carry on with our other projects AND do the event without too much stress.

I find the bat and chest clicking is much more refined this time and doesn't take much to actually get the prize (previous events of this kind were very much hit and miss) so improvement there definitely.

The amount of event crops required is easy to achieve but the drops let this event down. If we can only get drops from one field, the drop rate should be higher. The amount required to get the CR is similar to other events when we can get drops from at least two fields if not all five!

I am hoping that a "tweak" will be possible during the event to ensure that most of us can finish this event. Either that or an extension - of about another week! No, okay, well maybe another day or two. A farmer can hope ...

 

I'm with illy on this. Great event overall and love the fact that we can continue farming as normal on the other fields. The prizes are good and if the Cloud Row is obtained, wonderful!!

The drops are a bit low, I think only those that really spend the whole day long farming and putting reminders of the exact time that their crops will be ready will be able to gain enough drops to finish the event - even then it will be nail-biting close.

It is good to have it a bit challenging, I personally like the events where you have to work to get it done and not have everything handed to you but for most players, this one seems a bit unreachable. I've managed 40 kebabs in the first two days so will hopefully be able to finish but it will be a very close call. This event does not leave any room for error - whether it be real-life that creeps up and keeps you from playing for a few hours or if you made a mistake in the game, there is not a lot of room for mistakes.

A day or two extension will help immensely

 

A lot of things changed from 2014 when i stopped playing regularly. Others are still the same... However I am happy to see all the positive changes implemented in the game and will give FA a second chance This event is somehow new for me, let's see if I can make it

Good prizes
Easier to 'feed' the characters than in the past
Biggest improvement (for me) in this type of game format is that I don't have to click on the chest to see the prize. Less clicking!
Minimal waiting time for the bats to reappear.

Drop rate is VERY low, the 5 hour crop is ok but not giving enough event drops to make this worth the effort... AGAIN.
I like the prizes but doubt the row can be gotten with so little drops

 

Thank you for adjusting the drop rate! I am now hoping this will be the really fun event we were all hoping for! Great concept, great prizes and great graphics! Again many thanks to the team!

 

I agree, thank you very much BP for listening to our concerns about the low drop rate. Getting double drops from now on should allow us to at least get the cloud row.

Manage to finish the cloud row, with only hours to go. A bit too close for comfort.

BP didn't do their sums correctly for the drops.
No need for everyone to be so stressed.

 

Yes I agree very disappointed I just turned over my farm and milled what is needed to feed the bats and so lucky I got 2 1hr harvesters which are of no use as I just turned over my farm....As far as the drop rate I used mine all up which btw I used CC and super grow to get as many drops as possible, so I guess I am done with this event...I will not spend real money to receive the rewards ie 1 power feed 20 super grow,,and 1 hr harvesters, I would spend real money if the reward was worthwhile Something is always thrown in by big point to spoil the fun just sayin

 

I am very hopeful I will complete this event now that we are getting double drops each time we harvest. Thank you so much for listening.

 

Thank you for the change in the drop rate. I don' know if they do something like this on all forums, check out the SOS (drop) Threads.
For example The Big Bake Off and Fly By Night.
Check out the difference in the Player Feedback. In my humble opinion, Your change was not good enough.
