If you watch your video, the next one is Raging bulls. I clicked on it and copied the URL an got this.
One of them has a red collar. ;)

Heehee, yes that's them! I'll have to tell Scott to leave them entire for a few more years if he really wants to see raging bulls! I think the title was his sense of humour. :)

That video must have been made before Loki broke his antlers so I guess the fighting did get more serious at some point. I love the fact that they are still 'bonded' and together, or could that just be because they are the lowliest members of the herd in relation to newness, age and antler size?

I am guessing a big bull calf in Mischa's belly - she has still got 6 weeks to go!

OR She ate the Jolley Mega ball!! :)

And we had local hunt visit neighbouring paddocks today - great op for photos as for once my lot were on high alert rather then normal chilled out mode. (I did have to stay with them to reassure hounds and horses wouldn't invade their paddocks. :)

In the US at the moment there is a reindeer girl (male died 2 days ago) on life support due to ticks (Babesiosis) no drugs available as on "back order" SOS sent out & another reindeer owner (10 hours away) has a dose enough for the cow... They have both set out to meet in the middle - it will probably be too late but I LOVE the commitment, particularly of the people that just have the drug... emotions run high at times. x I'm way too far away to help (over the POND) but sobbed a few tears for them... We love our reindeer. xx

Stunning photos! I totally forgot about the Jolley Mega Ball!xD Is it missing!?xD I can see where barking dogs and trampling horses would be somewhat unsettling for them, and I would have been standing guard too!;)

    8) Beautiful photo of your gorgeous 'gals', Karen!:inlove:

It is so sad to hear about that deadly tick disease:cry: - I hope she makes it...but it doesn't sound too hopeful if she's already on life support. Do you know what State they are in here in the US? Do you also have this same tick disease over on your side of the 'Pond'?

    Can humans get it?

Humans can get it, but it's rarely fatal, except in people with weaker immune systems. In humans it's treated with the same drugs that are used against malaria, as babesiosis is caused by parasites that infect red blood cells (just like malaria.)
I pray that they get that sweet girl her meds in time and that she recovers soon. Such compassionate people who are driving halfway to meet them. :inlove:
You have such beautiful babies, BoHoKaren. I know I shouldn't pick favorites, but I especially love Freya. She's so adorable with those huge antlers of hers.:)

BohoKaren - I adore the close up of Hector! :inlove: I haven't had a good look at his handsome face in a while. Mischa is certainly eating for 2!!! Good for her!!!:p I'm also thrilled to see the video of Loki and Thor. They seem to be thriving at their new home.
I am praying that the meds arrive in time to save the reindeer with the tick disease.

US girl I think Illinois but not certain. She went into very early labour a few hours ago and lost her calf, upsetting but she'll be able to fight better on her own. Owners only had 2 and they lost the bull 3 days ago from same tick issue. There's a whole reindeer community routing for her. x
We do have ticks in UK but here they aren't a major issue, further south more so. Not all ticks carry it..

On to happier things... For all of you that have missed my monster Hector.....
Sunday, it must be breakfast in bed for this lazy lump!

I fed early today as we were driving to have lunch with father and stepmother - Hector wasn't ready to come in for his pellets (nor were the others) but Hector got dandelions and pellets waiting for when he was ready to get his backside in gear!

PPS getting a little confused as reindeer girl (US) is at a University facility.. Whether it's owner or Uni confused I am not sure. Latest update the calf is still viable on ultrasound and cow wasn't dilated... Quite why Uni said she had aborted??? BUT mother is still fighting so that is the important thing. :)

It is very sad the problem they are having with their reindeer in the US! We are all sending good thoughts and many prayers for the sick reindeer girl!
I hope you enjoyed your family lunch, it sure looks like Hector is enjoying his Sunday breakfast in bed!
    How lucky is he!!?xD:inlove:
up dated comment.... Well it sure is confusing! Praying mother and unborn calf will be ok! Question, if they give the mother meds to help her, will it affect the unborn calf? I hope they can get the meds to her in time!!

What a difference a day makes...

Whole herd had their annual vaccination and vitamins ready for calving and a couple had a manicure. During which time Twiglet lost both her antlers. At this time of year antlers are ready to drop. Twiglet doesn't like her vitamins and knocked first antler on a fence and second my helper was left with it in her hand... Helper quite distressed.. heehee. Any other time of year it would be a worry as it would be a break but now it is just like chewing a toffee with a loose baby tooth..
Poor Twiggy has gone from top girl with her impressive rack to quite low on the pecking order and feeling sorry for herself.

Awww, poor Twiglet, she does have that look on her face like "What just happened?!" Your poor helper, I would have freaked out if it had come off in my hand too!;) Not something you are expecting to happen!xD Good job, getting their Vaccinations and vitamins all done!:D

Oh poor, poor Twiglet. You can even see her head lowered in a little sad pout. But hopefully soon she will have a wee one to cheer her up! :music:

Poor Twiglet she does look a little sad at losing her antlers. I think I would have been distressed if an antler came off in my hand as well!
