So sorry in my tiredness I posted my request here instead of SOS Thread. Moved it there. Was away with regard to a serious case which exhausted all my energy. Made my first donation to the bats.

 

Just a small point (my apologies if someone has already said this) It is mainly aimed at Newbies. Start feeding your bats sooner rather than later. I am finding there is quite a lag waiting for them to pop up so it is taking longer than I would have liked. In the past with this sort of event I have waited till the last minute, then worried that I would not finish.

 

Also, mill the Kebob before you go to bed at night but don't feed at night. Feed in the morning or whenever you'll have time to play so when you end up getting a harvester you'll be able to actually use it.

 

Been haphazardly tracking drop rates as I've been working on bat and crow breeding. These are full fields of 1x1 with only CAC and water except for ghost harvests, when I used terror bouquets. Event crops (5.5 hrs) ranged anywhere from 5 to 13 (I neglected to write them all down, but my last three were 5, 11 and 8, done before the doubling). Ghosts (8hrs) 10-16; Google-eye bushes (5 hrs) were 10-14; bonetrees (2 hrs) and venus flytraps (3 hrs) seem to be pretty much the same at 3-7, though I did have one bonetree that gave me a whopping 0! Monster pumpkins (45 min) have been 0-3.

Sitting at 56/125 with my last needed field of ghosts about to be harvested. Doubling has definitely helped a lot, but back to being uncertain if I'm going to be able to get the cloud row or not. Will have my breeding done though, so very happy about that!

 

Just curious, what is your Living Legend Rune/Trophies level currently?

 

I've been playing just under 3 months, Decree, so I don't have the LL Rune unlocked yet. I've got 182 stars saved up atm, and have been working towards unlocking either the menagerie or the workshop building (can't remember the name right now, doh!). I debated some on whether or not to try and unlock the LL, but not sure if I could get the remaining stars in time to really do any good for this event.

 

Ah, ok. We're all glad to have you here on the forums. You'll find a lot of helpful hints and advice, as well as support and praise for when things are going poor or well. The Living Legend rune helps a lot for events which require drops, and is essential for events held on the Moonlight Madness field. Fortunately, there's really only ever two MM events a year.

Living Legend rune isn't vital to complete events, although it should be a high priority for any new player. It's really the trophies from Farming Contest and Country Fair FSQ's. Have you been able to progress through these quests?

 

You might not get the stars in time for this event, but we have another Moonlight Mania event coming up in April that also requires drops.

You may want to read the feedback threads for the Menagerie and Manufactory before investing all those stars (500 each! ), especially since stars are kind of hard to come by.

 

Thank you for the welcome! Been lurking of the forums since I started playing, it's pretty much standard procedure for me when it comes to a new game. I do tend to lurk more than post though.

I've not done a whole lot with either of the trophies so far, a couple of steps on the stable one and maybe 5 or 6 on the plants. Guess I'd better get crackin' on them both though if there's another MM event next month.

Thanks for the info about the feedback threads, I'll check them both out before deciding to spend the stars.

People say that LL helps with drops .... In my opinion i don't think it does ...have completed LL and my Drops aren't that brilliant ...they haven't improved since opening it as yet

Only thing that i have found that works in the game is CAC .... my game improved after opening that...I bought the confectioners to get this...Gives you +2 growing crops

Got the three givers ...now i need the cloud row to put them on ... am at 124 /125
So need 24 drops
IF i finish this it will be a mirror call to see how much hair i've pulled out

At least it has given me a chance to make all my MM crops into thousands...have used everyone to get drops ... I am on my last crop now and not one of them has given many drops so am not expecting much from this harvest

 

I personally would go for the LL rune first You don't have to worry about moving the trophies and I get a decent drop rate I am happy with.. But I usually use 1x1 plots during events and a few trees that I keep out. Stables are to unreliable for me I was worried I wasn't going to finish this event but since they have doubled our drops, all is good!! Have 10 in the mill and need to mill 26 after that. 156 drops So far I am only winning the 1 & 3 hr harvester Hoping to get more TB's. Have fun everyone!!

p.s. I can't seem to locate where my Tentacle Willows are listed. Found everything else listed under Moonlight Products

Edit: Just read in the Technicals the "Willow Tentacles can be found under category "All"

 

Just wanted to put in something that I find very helpful about this event. This is a farm I started 3 days ago - mainly in order to help those who ask for drops but also because I want a second farm that is active (Brakenjan84 is my main farm). I'm not even trying for the CR or anything on this farm since I'm now only at level 20 (just reached it this morning) but wanted to give my input as a 'new farm'...

The prizes the bats give is an immense help on leveling up quickly and also, for the first time ever I am level 6 on Baha without it even being open yet! So I'll have GB waiting for me when I open the islands

I'm also stacking up on a few craft items that the bats are 'oh-so-generous' with! So, just my two-cents worth as a 'new farm'.

I don't know, if this was just a coincidence, but when I got a tree from one of the bats, I waited until she appeared again and picked her. Gave me a few times either a tree or a stable. The ones, where I got powerfood or terrorbouquets gave me other nice things (CAC or Crypt vase). So I got a lot of very good prices.

Finished milling the last 6 kebobs I needed but will wait till morning in case I get the harvester I have enough fungus left to mill at least 28 more kebobs Now to get the drops to go with that Congrats to those who finished and keep going to the rest of you...33 hrs left!!

 

unless drops greatly increase I won't make it. Real life took toll this event. Oh well got some bananas and stuff

In case any is wondering, my Living Legend rune is at 21% and I do not have the MM Cloud Row up and running yet. I did, however, have 600+ SG at the beginning of this event which I used to nuke a bunch of 2x2 plots (none left now )

 

At last got Cloud row and three givers as this is very good cloud row, which is worth getting.

I got surplus of 3000 Fungus to use up so continue getting Blood Tomato Sauce. I not had the time to Nuke any spooky crops within Super Nuke window of 6 Hours...

Brakenjan84/other nuking farmers I use Super Grow with Suzy Super. I most of time use 2 x 1 Field as you can get 90 to 95 of these Fields. As with Suzy Super can reap you an additional +2 Spooky Crops so if using CAC it is +4 Spooky Crops per field. Using 2 x 1 You plant 1 seed get back 3 this also give +2 Spooky Crops so every 2 x 1 i have i gain +6 Spooky Crop per 2 x 1 Field

This is most effective way to build up stock of spooky crops. Since Farmerama has announced a fix of Doubling drop rate of Blood Tomato Sauce. Therefore Nuking Spooky Crops will be twice as Effective Boosting you chances to feed addional bats to gain additional prizes, which i planning to do today but only have 6 hour window.

I mostly using SG/SS on Crops Takes 4 Hours or More to Grow. As we at times have a limited window to store up long time spooky crops...

I got back all the TB i used on this Event. So no need to mill more of them, also got quiet a few more CAC now got too many of them lol

I will start planting my wonder trees and stables today to see what nice prizes they will give !!

 

I just got the cloud row and 3 givers! It really is doable! I do not use comfort fields or any of those bells and whistles. I did use alternating crops of Jelly Ear Fungus and 6 and 8 hr crops and some 4 and 5 hr crops because I was bored. I also used Cac, water and manure,terror bouquet and pinkie pie to extend my buffs.
