Was behind on drops so just did a couple of rounds of instant roses to be back on track. Just a reminder to newer players - try and get refinements on some of your longer crops by using the greenhouse.

 

I have lots of trees and stables out... I am expecting miracles from my 131 sprouts
And have just put in refined carnations overnight to see if they help

 

LOL Noodles my parents use to ask me the same thing as I would be buggin' them to buy me stickers. I feel what you are saying. I guess they really serve no purpose at all, I just have always like collecting them. Here I like to collect them also but I always find myself & about how much they want to get them I would be if they put them at the end of the events because I wouldn't be able to get most of them. Shoot something I can't even get them now . I am a firm believer that if you do as much as a single crop or such in any given event you should just be given the sticker for FREE
They were onto something with at least two of the events so far this year. 'Love is a Battlefield' and some kind of fair wagon game. We were given a free practice round at the start of the event and guaranteed to win enough to get the sticker and I believe we had the choose to or not to get the sticker. Now that is/was awesome. Just the kind of thing I'm talking about.
Something to make the sticker lovers happy and the non-sticker lovers happy too

Have always thought it should be given free for entering Events or after doing something in the event ..then we are given it
But to want 50 Lettuces and a cows milk I think is a bit over the top

 

Has anyone else noticed a severe decrease in the amount of drops? I was getting 10-15 per field not counting trees and pens. Now I'm getting less than five and hardly any from trees and pens.

 

Well mostly the Roses refinements (SG and manure faster time and increase chance not to use one SG ) is used, for a faster turnover of an otherwise high level plant. This translates in more rose harvests per day, which means more drops But you have to be ready to use SG and manure. You can also supplement the SG time reduction with White Innocence and Fruit Cake (and you will have harvests like every 1h30).

 

I prefer refined raspberries for increased drops. The Water Love & 2 Early Bloomer refinements really work well. They turn a 17hr crop to less than 9hrs, GREAT for overnight! Or with 2x2 plots and nuking with SG you can do multiple rounds. If you don't have the Flower CR (I do not) or don't want to use manure (often sold out) refined raspberries give a very nice boost to drops while allowing you max time for growing event crops.

It takes many many many attempts in the greenhouse to get these refinements (accept any refinements that appear otherwise they can appear many times while your looking for the others).

I get my best boost of drops the first harvest each morning which sets me up well. By the end of the day I'm usually looking for more, but knowing I'll have the next morning's harvest makes these events more manageable.

Refined roses & refined carnations are also excellent for boosting drops, but with only 4 slots for refinements (unless you spend BB's to open 2 more) you have to make choices. Roses are faster but fewer drops, carnations give the best drops but without the Flower CR, even with refinements they still take a lot of time.
I can use refined raspberries with or without SG day & night to get those event drops!

I feel animal pens give good drops than crops. But I cannot say for sure. So I am asking your opinion. What do you say ?

 

12ss12 - I've been playing for 4.5 years and the wise players taught me that crops are better than stables.

Think of it as a lottery....with 202 plots of 1x1 vs 44 stables, you have a greater chance of getting drops. More plots, more drops. That is in its simplest explanation. Certainly, trophies and length of time make a difference. With a field of carnations, I have gotten more than 44 drops. I have never gotten 44 drops with a field of stables of equal time.

I always prepare my farm with crops and it has served me well ever since I began being able to complete events. In almost 5 years of playing, I 've never not finished an event due to lack of drops.

I don't buy event baskets, I only use manure and super grow on the initial start up seeds. After I have enough seeds to cover the field, I only use water for the rest of the event.

Trees and carnations are of similar time but I have not compared drops between the 2 consistently to say that one is better than the other. I typically use crops as my preferred method because of using CAC, as well as, it is labor intensive to remove a farm of trees and replace with crops.

Hi Farmers I wonder how you all doing with this event so far. I have come to conclusion that drop rate has dropped off, for Long timed Crops as I did another round of Rose Buds but only got 140 Drops this time last time got 198 drops from the same crops.

It might surprise you that it seem i get better drops growing 3 to 7 Hour Crops. That what been happening to me. It is happening to you too i wonder ?

Got the Cloud Row and Three Gifts, Plus one of my own surplus giver as you need an 2 x 1 Giver too. Note to Newbies !!

So Far i have done 126 Steps. So i am going to cool down on drops to finish off the right hand side to get the remaining prizes...Still 73 Hours of this event remaining.

Great Posting Dafodily about Refinements do help lots with Drops. On an added note those who not got this Refinement of Raspberries. As Two Alchemist Crafts Aroma of Love and Mandrake Power can reduce Raspberries by another 10% just need two Silver Buff Slots.

Some of you have Flower Cloud Row, which can also be combined with Refinements of Roses, Alchemist Crafts that reduces Flowers by 10% I Tried this can get Roses down to 6 Hours and 12 Mins from 10 Hours and 48 Mins...

It takes a good while to Master and Understand best use of refinements as some of refinements can increase growing times of Refined Crops so need to be clear on that

I Focus my refinements on Flowers and Vegetables as i find them to be more effective in my Style of Gaming. Gain more Veg using +1 Cloud Row. The Help of Flower Cloud Row too..

 

Got 27 drops from refined Carnations ... I put in overnight

 

I almost squealed in delight just now! Harvested my 2 new wonder stalls and got myself an axolotl pool My trees weren't too bad either, an XL Cashew, XL Grapefruit and Sandalwood. Just so happy about the axolotl!!

Good luck everyone! Even if for some reason I can't finish this event, I'm too happy now to be too adversely affected

Why I asked that question was I had pink, neon and wonder stable pens in my field. During the start of the event they gave me 60 drops. But after that I used carnation and it gives me only around 27 to 29 drops. That's why I asked the question. Sometimes it happens that way. I will try to fill out my one field with animal pens this night and let you and everyone know what the results are.

 

Hi 12ss12. I've had my main field filled with stalls and workshops this whole time - my handfans are bringing in a ton of cc's .

I've noticed a definite decline in drops since initial harvest (since this is the only field that I can really compare because it has stayed the same during the whole event), but my stalls and workshops still give me a good enough drop rate that I won't rip them up to plant crops. My other two fields at the moment have the last of my event crops growing and then I'll restore my Green Meadow's trees (the whole field is usually full of trees), which gave me a whopping 148 drops on initial harvest and I'm hoping will come close to that again tomorrow after mulching them all, and my Magical Glade will focus on crops to get the rest of the drops that my trees and stalls can't give.

My refinement still needs a lot of work so I'm not relying on that at the moment...

 

I wondered if it was just me having my drops decrease Thank goodness I have the CR that reduces time for flowers...planted roses on one field, lilies on another and carnations on the 3rd. So far the first 2 were It makes it hard to know if it's worth planting a really long crop or one that's 12-15 hrs Thank goodness my very kind neighbors have been faithful in sending gifts

 

I'm 290 drops away from finishing it (i'm at 49 left / 47 right atm), with around 50 drops from roses (2x2) this means 6 more rose harvests. Pretty doable, there's 71h left from the event. I do hope i'll have time to re-stock on my plants after I finish, to prepare for the next event

 

I've used the same crop for obtaining drops the entire event and haven't noticed any decrease in the drop rate, only the normal fluctuations.

 

I have never had a good amount of drops from refined carnations ...I got 17 from a field this morning ...looking at what other people are getting on this thread ...i think that 17 is pretty bad ...that's using water and manure...I would probably have got these 17 without it being refined
Its like LL ...since completing that my drops haven't got any better

 

17 is pretty bad Nellie. I hope that was from one field and not all three, in that case our boat is going so slow the tide might push it backwards

The LL rune doesn't increase the drops, it gives the same amount of drops as just the trophies. But we get the trophy effect on all the fields without dragging them around. Not to mention the glitch when the trophy doesn't stick, so you need to change fields to make sure it's effective etc etc.

Same with the refined carnation, no refinement increases drop, but you can get more effect on manure/ water and on SG, making the growth time shorter, hence being able to plant and harvest more crop in the "same amount of time as a unrefined carnation" more harvest= more chance of drops. In theory more chances should grant us more drops. Sadly theory and reality are the same in theory but in reality they are really not.
