April Rumour Thread.

My post in April rumour thread was completely deleted. Reason given was - Please state official links to rumour. I think it had several rumours. It consisted of 2 google picture - a penguin picture & a google picture of a tree. I want to know,

1. which part of the rumour needed source ?
2. why I was not given time to provide official source ?
3. why all rumours were deleted, instead of deleting only that alleged part of the post for which no source was stated as not been given ?
4. I did not post any farmerama released pictures of any forthcoming features. As for as my memory goes I posted a Penguin & a tree picture from google and cited that source. Why was that deleted ?
5. Do we have different grapevine rules for English Forum from that of German, Spanish, Hungarian etc., ?
6. When will our grapevine wizard be active again ?​

If you go through other forums, you will find that the rumours I posted are for long being circulated there. Especially see Gerrman forum, Hungarian Forum, Spanish Forum & Polish Forum.

I think you are biased. You go to that unofficial forum where many of our memebers have migrated and if you find rumours there and here, the same, you think I took it from there. It would be better if you visit the other official forums and know the rules and regulations better. And that forum is not an yardstick for this forum. Don't make it so. Rules are rules whethter it be for moderators or players.

Do you know how many hours I spend going through automated translations of other forums and gather news. Do you know how much energy and strain I put to give few lines of rumours and how much strain I take to assure that they are genuine and not misleading before I post them in our Forum.

This is in Spanish rumour posted a day before me and it does not have a source and it is still there.

Click on the numbers -it is the source. This is just a part of the source. If you want I will give you sources from all other languages forums - official of course.

I will try to answer your questions in order
1. All rumours need to have a source no matter what form they take.
2. The post was posted 46 hours ago. The post was deleted 6 hours ago. That is more than enough time for the source to have been included
3. All rumours were deleted as no source provided. We have lives outside Farmerama. We can only do the best we can when we're at home. We don't have the luxury of checking if a source has been posted elsewhere
4. Again no source was provided for any rumours in that post
5. All forums have guidelines that they must abide to. There may be differences in individual language forums at there request.
6. Our GW has stepped aside to clean his tower while there are others willing to post rumours

I encourage you to contact Support if you don't agree with our decisions.

You choose to look for rumours. We both wish we had the time to update the forum. Alas our work & family commitments take precedence.

Before going into other issues.

1. You deleted my thread 6 hours back.
April Preview Calendar was published 2 days back in our English Forum. It covers 3/4th of my rumour and you still deleted my post today stating I did not provide source.
So what shall I make out of this ? Your action is peculiar.

My thread consist of the following rumours
1. Arthropods & mammals are required for this months breeding and we will get a new tree & butterfly upgrades.
2. Mammals, reptiles & birds for next month & that we get workshops for kangaroo & anaconda
3. We get a new Penguin stall
4. Renzo will arrive and last time to win certain prizes
5. Pictures of Penguin bird & the tree - google picture.

I gave the Polish & Spanish Post above not as the source and I did not ask you to visit other forums to search sources. I wanted you to see that the players there provide news (and sometimes their own picture) without giving any source for the same. Why is English players being discriminated ? Just because you have the power to delete you cannot misuse it. If you delete a post, it is a serious action and you have to give a valid and substantial reason. IF you need sources for words, then that rule should be applicable to all players - English, Spanish, French..... We all play the same game. Only minor things differ for each and every forum. Not the rules for deletion.

2. You action is unreasonable and your reason stating that I did not provide source for the words too is high handed. You have deleted my entire post meaning I have posted an entire post which is against Farmerama Rules. Does not even one word or sentence of my post within rules ?

3. If you feel I have to give a source, you have to intimate me below my post or somehow that source is required for the post and that I have to provide it within some time. That's what is called reasonableness. My post was not such a bad one that it could not be left visible even for a minute for others to see. In fact April Month Calendar Preview has been posted and it has stated what I stated in my rumour post. After that you delete my entire post.

You should read Grapevine guidelines in particular the section

A preview calendar is a preview and not a guarantee that a rumour has become an absolute. We only know a rumour has become a fact or fiction when the Official Event Announcement is made. Until then a link has to be provided for all rumours.

We don't know why other forums have differences as we don't moderate other language forums.

This is the EN forum. We follow the EN guidelines. You have been asked many times to cite your sources.

It is never our intention to intimidate anyone. We make judgements of what has been posted on our individual environments.
