Strategy: Firefly Festival - Spring Edition

Me too ... I never noticed that it was five days and not six! Doh! And I would also love BBs for prizes from time to time. That nearly never happens these days.

 

We want six days - not five! I got a harvester and some CAC ready to use - so I will start using 1*1 fields and might make it anyway I hope the reindeer will be back with the Thermos Flasks soon

 

Over 61 hours left on the clock. After the morning harvest I replanted event crops only on BAHA and used the other fields for longer term crops like Blueberry, Hazelnut and the such. By now I have all but 2 laterns lit. To finish I need 130 + 150 = 280 flasks. I have 115 on hand so still looking for another 165. I hope to get a good bunch of those with overnight crops: Protea on BAHA, (refined) Carnations, Rose Hips and Daffodils on Mainland. Either way, I should be able to finish some time tomorrow.

WHOA ... not a single new post in this thread for 20 hours! Guess everyone figured out a strategy. I know I did as I delivered all what was requested and now have all latern lit with the event running for at least another 42 hrs.
Can't complain about the drop rate. The CR reward however seems barely worth the effort.

Habalala Ive not figured out how to do this event im still waiting on 448 more flasks????

As ive said previously im not stressing as ive already got quite alot of rewards. But with not wasting one second with growing and harvesting and moving statutes the drops are pathetic as stated elsewhere im getting more batteries which I dont need

A key to success is to use your best long term crops whenever it's possible (after assuring you got the crops and backpacks covered). Another key is to turn in your statues to the Living Legend rune on the Tree of Wisdom. I know it's "hard work" to get there, been there done that, but afterall it's been worth the effort to me. Just keep going, wish you all the best! 448 flask drops in 40 hours is possible, go for it!

 

Ive tried to follow the advice given out by one and all, Habalal.

I had long crops in overnight but my harvest this morn is 30 flasks and over 50 batteries??!!!

I feel like shutting my farm down and giving up now...can only take so much RUBBISH
And with 2 events on the go I have

 

The batteries doesn't affect the drops of the firefly event. Those are calculated seperatly, just as the drop of tools, sugar, salt, wire etc.
You have x% chance of drop of batteries, and a total unrelated chance of drop of flask. I do suspect the percentage of chance is higher on the batteries than on the flask. And ofc dear Nellie, bad luck is bad luck - that is the highest percentage of all. However I think our dingy at least has stopped leaking. Who knows, our bad luck might have taken a "wrong turn" and got turned into good luck.

Oh well, maybe not, but we can have hopes and dreams, can't we ?

Have got the giver to the candy row and 2 golden chain trees so am happy with those...been chasing that tree for ages

 

I finished the Firefly event!! CR activated Congrats to those who have finished all or what they wanted to Good luck to any still going..still have a day Off to see what comes next...getting a little confusing trying to keep all these events straight

Edit: I checked the events and see the next is breeding.......ummmm.....would someone be so kind as to remind me which critters we are breeding? Bees and ??

As far as batteries vs thermos flasks being greater is that the recyclomat is that we can collect batteries from all 5 fields vs. the 4 fields for the firefly event. I like that they are greater b/c the event is shorter and the xl donation pool requires 90 batteries. It would be impossible to do the event if we didn't get a decent number of drops.

23 hours to go and 118 more drops needed. I'm hoping to get those in about 6 hours, when I will harvest 3 fields of refined roses and 1 field of chayote. I guess I'm doing pretty well considering that I had several very long work days during this event, but I hate cutting it this close!

 

I have only a couple of harvests of Glowberries left to do, I have donated everything else so should finish tomorrow - just before going to work. Just hope the 'net and/or lecky don't fail me at the last hurdle lol!

I did manage to get the Surprise thingy for the CR and the Re(p)sycho CR too! Wahoo! Just wish I hadn't fed that meter so much - I'm looking at losing about 2 million worth of goods. Still, easy come, easy go!

As i am not doing recyclo event ....will give me a chance to put some animal pens out ...am getting bit low in them

Why have I got star Flowers ?... Cannot remember having these before these events...have 610 of them.
