Today at work I was doing some work and heard rustling at a bird nest and went to investigate. A baby bird fell out and I tried to catch it but missed. It landed without injury and after trying several things I was finally loaned a ladder so that I could push the baby back in. It wasn't a baby baby bird, looked like the little one had its adult feathers coming in. The mother showed up and I yelled that I was just trying to return its baby. Someone said it looked like a baby mocking bird.

from all appearances yes. it was so ugly but at the same time so cute. I had to use an empty shoebox as a carrier until a solution was discovered.

On Sunday,I also found a baby bird which had fallen from its nest.It looked so cute:inlove:.It was a baby sparrow.I wasn't able to take it in my hands because I'm afraid of all animals, insects and birds(especially).I don't know why but I can't touch them.My hands tremble and my mouth starts shouting without my control whenever I try to do it.

Firstly,I took some photos of it as it was for the first time I saw a bird from close up.I was also not able to tell my mom or dad about it because they weren't at home. The only thing I could do was to leave it there in the garden but then I thought that cat would eat it.
So I took a long stick and struck it hardly on the ground near it so that it would move.It worked !! :D Then I put little pieces of bread near him\her.But it didn't ate them (I don't know how to care for a baby bird).I sat there on a chair and was looking at him constantly.(I was actually protecting him from other animals)

After some time,it started to move towards Arabian jasmine which is 5 to 6 feet tall.It started to climb it by him\herself .I saw him opening his mouth again and again so I ate a biscuit which contained plastic package inside. Then I put water in it and tied it on the stick which I had.I then helped him to drink water from that plastic container by moving the stick slowly towards his mouth.
(it drank water from it).:DIts parents were then able to saw him. Then I hear my phone ringing so go inside the house. When I came back after 5 to 6 or maybe 7 or 8 mins,It wasn't there.I immediately ran into the house again to bring binoculars. With the help of binoculars,I saw the nest.I was safely sitting in the nest.
I missed the best part but I'm happy for it.:D

That was my story of how I rescue a baby bird. This probably be the most strangest and funniest rescue baby bird story ever as I rescue it without touching it.

Lol!! It was a wonderful story, hopy14!! You went to a lot of trouble to help that poor wee bird!
I hope, when it grows up, it will come and sing you a sweet little song of gratitude, and tweet little secrets outside your window for you to wonder about and enjoy!!:inlove::music:;)

I hope so it happens, too, hopy14! It would be wonderful!:inlove:
Do you think it might scare her away if you shout? Then her songs and secrets might not be yours......?
