Just let you know got my rewards for The Top 200. So very happy to get Pug in the Manger which now place in my shipwreck.

Pug the manger is filling the last 2x2 space on shipwreck now.
Have really to get the shipwreck 2 quest done to get more space there.

Wanted to say a big thanks to all who cheered me uo for the challenge and helped me so so much!

Now on to the next event.... When will I ever do "normal" farming again?????

Congrats on getting top 200. but may I ask what is instant carnation?

 

I've been wondering about those instant carnations as well. Do you mean refined carnations by chance?

 

The Super grow love refinement on carnations improves SG effectiveness by 25%. When you combine that refinement with fruit cake, white innocence and activate the chestnut cloud row, carnations in comfort fields are finished instantly with super grow. No water or manure needed. It guarantees you get a drop from each comfort field plot and really makes a difference in events, especially hard events that have very high drop requirements.

 

Thanks PnP I don't have the chestnut cloud row, unfortunately. That must be an amazing CR!

 

The chestnut cloud row improves super grow by 5%.

Super grow reduces harvest time by 50%
The Growth boost rune increased it to 60%
White Innocence is 10% and Fruit cake is 5% making total time reduction 75%.
If you have the refinement for 25% and activate the cloud row, you get instant crops with just applying super grow. To conserve your super grow stocks, you can use comfort fields. It takes time to get refinements (and a lot of crops) but they are worth it and a great tool in event strategy.

Even if you don't have the cloud row, you can still significantly reduce long crops harvest times and improve your total drops.

PnP. didn't you say you were going for Top 200? Did you make it?

Don't forget alchemist, EOL and SOL buffs to reduce time of flowers. It doesn't have to be flowers either. There are other SG Love crops, I think...

I tried for the Top 200 but between RL and some space cadet that messed up the buffs... it didn't happen. The higher one's level the more difficult the competition. Besides I got super bored sitting here trying to make it happen and my legs are still swollen from all that sitting. I think it's the first time I've ever been that bored playing this game.

I did say I would try for top 200 but soon found out that my super grow (4.5k) and suzy super (2.9k) grow stocks were insufficient. I was in the next to highest bracket level and those donations outpaced what I could grow. I'm disappointed but glad to see so many friends make it

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it's not possible to get the 100% time reduction that makes instant carnations possible without the Chestnut Festival cloud row.

The math looks something like this:

Super-grow (50%) + Growth Boost rune (10%) + White Innocence (10%) + Fruit Cake (5%) + Chestnut Festival CR (5%)
50 + 10 + 10 + 5 + 5 = 80% or 0.8

If you then add the SG Love refinement, it takes the new SG effectiveness (80%) and increases it by 25%:
25 x 0.8 = 20%

Add those two numbers together and you get:
80 + 20 = 100%

As you can see, you need that last 5% from the CR to get all the way to 100%.

I think a lot of people make the mistake of just adding the SG Love refinement to all the other buffs like this:

Super-grow (50%) + Growth Boost rune (10%) + White Innocence (10%) + Fruit Cake (5%) + Chestnut Festival CR (5%) + SG Love refinement (25%)
50 + 10 + 10 + 5 + 5 + 25 = 105%

I wish it worked that way (it would certainly make more sense) but unfortunately, it doesn't.

EOL = Elixir of Life, a crafting product that reduces the growing time for mainland flowers by 4% for 6 hours.
SOL = Source of Life, a crafting product that reduces the growing time for mainland flowers by 6% for 8 hours.
