HOW on earth do you manage to find such a small piece of brown in such a huge field of greens?

    8) How close do you think Elsa is to giving birth?? Isn't she due 26 - 29th??

Still on the waiting game for Elsa's calf....
She joined the herd late in the rut, so even if she was in season on "Day one" her first due date (if she went full term) would be tomorrow... but by her udder, I thought she might be early
The Next & Last baby for this year, MUST be in the next couple of days, due to her size/udder but it might be longer. [IMG]:(
The rest of the herd aren't very active with the hot weather.
BUT you can see that Hector has kept his sun visor on, against the odds... Hopefully it can be removed once the English weather gets back to normal!
Jeeves I have seen feeding from Ana a couple of times today but she isn't the best of mothers.

Lexi and Freya have been a big worry this evening, as both scouring badly (diarrhoea). Not sure if it hot weather but I have drenched them with a wormer and tried to clean off their rear ends to avoid fly strike... Why do the worries always come on a Bank Holiday Weekend! But hey ho, worming is the first port of call. :(

He so does Brookeham, he is looking like "Hey Look at me with my very cool nose cover!"xD;)
Oh poor Lexi and Freya, and poor you for having to deal with the mess! I hope it is just from the heat and they will be back to normal very soon!
Hoping Elsa delivers soon before it gets too hot and mom and baby are healthy and beautiful!
    Enjoy your bank holiday!:D

I do hope that Lexi and Freya are better today, the weather is very hot and humid here at the moment so hopefully that is all that the problem is. Agree with Brookeham, Hector does look so proud and manly!

I think Hector has forgotten his nose shield now, which is a relief, as I was sure he'd get it off.
It is unseasonably hot here in UK, so nobody is really getting up to mischief so only boring photos..
No news from Elsa yet.. I keep hoping when I find her hiding in odd places BUT just hiding from the heat and she isn't the most social, so being alone doesn't immediately shout calving, as that is her norm.
Freya isn't scouring as much today, but Lexi is. It isn't an emergency as she is eating and acting normally (or I would have taken her temperature, that would be messy- if off food tomorrow that's my next plan) but if she hasn't improved on Tuesday, after the Bank Holiday, I will get the vet out to visit.
    Just Freddy.... growing! :)

She did! She was full of threats but once it was inevitable that I'd be treating her baby she accepted it well. Motherhood seems to suit her :)

Oh he is gorgeous... It is a good job that I knew before he was born that if Elsa had a bull calf it was going to live a Ythanbank Reindeer (Elsa's original owners) with Thor and Loki... or I would be standing by the gate with a gun to stop anyone taking him. ;)

Do you think he will stay that colour, because if he does I don't know how you could bear to part with him. Although I know that Ythanbank Reindeer will give him a good home, especially since he is Elsa's little boy.

He will be almost white, but not an albino.. So to be honest the best of everything... Albino's can have health issues.. (Deafness, as can been seen in cats and dogs linked to the albino gene) joint issues, cancers.... But he SHOULD be outside the radar for these issues as he has some grey markings... :)

It is slightly easier (is it???) but Ythanbank gave me Elsa as they couldn't cope with a seriously grumpy girls that was beating up their castrates... (they just wanted a home for her were she could have babies). I was delighted to try to find what made her happy (and being pregnant & her calf has). They didn't ask for a baby, as they just wanted her to be happy but I said her first boy would be theirs.. and it has been born... I would love to keep him but I can't... We can just enjoy the few months we have with him... :) ;(

:inlove:Congratulations on another safe arrival. ..and the much required 3rd bull calf. :DHe is adorable :inlove:
:pI think Ythanbank will be chuffed with latest addition, except when it snows xD Do you get to name him, or will he get a name similar to Thor and Loki?

;)With his mother being Elsa, Olaf springs to mind xDxDxD

He is just splendid! Elsa just needed a bull to help change her attitude!;) She just wanted to be a mother! I think the Ythanbank farm would just love him to pieces, as will we, till it is time for him to move on!
