SOS Thread for the Carnival Quest event

• Event is doable in all fields
• Both mills can be used
• 2 types of drops are got - one from plants & trees and another from animal stalls & workshops
• 2 mill products
• Main land water will be used for milling process
• Paint tool item is needed and its drop rate will be increased.

Event Crop : Amaranth - 6 hours
Event Drops : 2 event drops

i) Paper Strip - from harvesting crops and trees
ii)Candy Basket - from harvesting your stables and workshops​

Mill products : 2 mill products

i) Amaranth flour - needs 10 x Amaranth

& 10 seconds to mill​

ii) paper mache - needs 2 Amaranth flour + 10 Water + 7 Paper Strip

2 minutes to mill​

7. Candy Basket drop item is only needed for playing mini-game. So there is no limitation for it

How to play :-

• First finish completing all the 3 parts/floats.
• You can do the 3 parts in any order
• Paint tool dropping will be liberal
• After completing the 3 parts, you can start playing the mini-game of catching the rewards in the basket.
• No crops are needed to play the mini-game.
• Only Candy Basket drop item from the stalls & workshops are needed to play mini-game.
• 1 Candy Basket = 1 mini game
• carnival mini game takes 25 seconds
• float will travel from right to left
• catch the chocolates & other special prizes like, GBs, PFs, SGs, EPs, CCs etc.,
• Bonbon - 3 Candy points
• Chocolate bar - 6 Candy points
• Lollipop - 10 Candy points
• To complete the mini-event you need 2500 candy points. You get rewards for completing
• Even after completing you can continue playing mini-game.

A couple of suggestions after playing the event by escalonilla

- Always look at the Queen's hands. You can tell where the reward will drop. Just move the mouse accordingly.
- Do not make sudden movements with the mouse. You can not see the pointer, and if it goes beyond the screen, the basket will not move. Lost a GB that way!
- I consider farm coins to be the 3rd best reward. A couple times they were dropped at the same time as GB or PF. Be wise what to choose. Haven't seen GB and PF at the same time tho.
- Farm coins may be confused with a red and yellow lollipop at the moment the queen throws them.

For all newer players:

The previous version of this event was EXTREMELY generous in giving out Golden Bananas, Power Feed and other valuable rewards in the mini game. I recommend you put all the resources you can spare behind getting to the mini game section and then playing it as much as possible.

896 drops im off to a bad start nothing ready for start of event or short term crops, at the mo im not happy with this event, hopefully I will be in a few days

 

Well, this is awkward.

12ss12 and I ended up posting within a couple of minutes of each other and our threads got merged.

Wondering if I should delete my post, or just keep the part with the requirements and rewards and remove everything else...

 

@zerodegrees Keep it. I love both your posts, always! And they are both in the beginning so what more can us normal farmers ask for (Except BP being generous with drops that is).

@phoenixboy12 I'm there as well, got chicken pens and what not all around. But I had an icky feeling last night so planted rye on one field, and have yet to harvest my morning harvest.

Shimmer, sorry to say but I very much doubt in the current climate that BP will be as generous as previously I do hope im wrong as Im in need of bananas

The Queen has arrived and the party now started. Let's have some good fun!

First harvest gave me 93 papers, 35 baskets and a bunch of paint.
Not too shabby.

Will keep both BAHA fields covered with pens (baskets and manure) and will grow event crops on Mainland only.

My initial harvest gave me 75 paper strips *sigh* I'm getting discouraged. If I need 896 drops, the event lasts 6 days, that makes the daily average 150 (149,33). For a brief moment I even had an extra event milling option, event corn and corn skewer. I think I had a 2-sec "I am never being able to finished" before my braincells decided to function.

I left a lot of pens out and about. Is that stupid of me ?

 

With there being no time to prepare what-so-ever, my initial harvest is a whopping 42 paper strips. Doubting I'll be able to finish the event on main farm, so I'm not even going to bother attempting on my other farm like I normally would, even though I could really use the HH coupons on it.

What's that I spot on the horizon? Why it's the SSBurnout!

 

75 and 42 im under 10 for the only 2 fields ive harvested. Im not happy ive got trees and pens on different growing times so this event is turning into whatever I get which it shouldnt be I should be able to have the option of having my fields ready for a higher drop count.

I left my farm as it was-pens and trees- and got 43 baskets and 100 paper. It is what it is Wasn't sure on what gifts to send so I sent the baskets I put my trees away and switched to 1x1's on those fields. Left pens on rainforest and 1/2 of my glade. Going to see how that goes. This is only the beginning so try to not get so discouraged.....yet Good luck and have fun

I had workshops & animal pens. Couldn't put trees in 1x1 edge plots in some field as I was tired. I put long time animal pens/workshops because, you cannot afford to waste time by putting a long time pen in midst of an event.

Don't worry if you don't get good amount of paper strips. Growing an over night crop of carnation or roses will help you out. I am happy I got a good amount of candy baskets because that means when I finish the 3 floats, I can play a lot of mini-games. I am sure everyone will get good amount of paper strips as you progress in the event.

 

Didn't see the Event announced yesterday so harvested my farm just before start of event. I will keep my Menageries and some of my long time stables in place to get the Candy Baskets.

I remember this event, the amount of prizes we got from the Mini game last time was amazing.

 

I think this will be a generous event again for two reasons:
1/ It's the same event. I think if it was going to be a lot less generous they'd have themed it differently to avoid everyone being disappointed.
2/ I slowed down the animated example of the mini-game that the FAQ shows and did some counting. I count them getting 93 candy points and 1GB and 2 PF. At that rate you'd need 27 baskets to just finish the entire event, and you'd pick up a total of 37GB including the 10 from level rewards and 84 PF including 30 from level rewards. Of course most people will have much more than 27 baskets - you get 15 just from finishing the earlier stages.

Have all fioelds in Tree/Pen/Crop mixes.. First harvest could have been really good in drops. So now I got only, what was ready at event start.

Hope I will develop a strategy before the event is over.
