Carnival Queen - Strategy Thread

Don't worry about it. The crop requirements are very low for this event - under 4 harvests with CAC and only about 10 without. Since it's only a 6 hour crop you could be done in a day without CAC or just over 3 days with no CAC or PJ at all AND with planting longer crops overnight. So no, I'm not going to give you CAC.
The real problem is drops of paper strips which I think a lot of players are going to struggle with. Make sure you do plant longer crops overnight and don't switch too much to pens until you're sure of getting enough paper strips.

 

wow you people DONT have to be so RUDE about not giving him CAC you could have said it a little nicer geeeez its not like he asked for gold or anything he just wants to make sure he gets the crops finished like the rest of us he may be at a lower level than you and it may come harder for him to finish than it does you ill send you a CAC tomorrow EowynR I already gifted today before I saw this

GIFTING - I've had several neighbors ask what to give, baskets or paper.

I plan on giving Paper until I've finished building the floats. Once the floats are built and the Queen is ready to romp with her goodies I'll switch to the baskets.

So, gift Paper till your floats are built. Then switch to the Baskets.

 

I'm with sirpippen on that as far as gifts go

 

well I got all the amaranth flour made on both my farms I just need drops to make the paper mache and I need to grow more amaranth to donate to the floats good luck everyone

 

A couple suggestions after playing.

- Always look at the Queen's hands. You can tell where the reward will drop. Just move the mouse accordingly.
- Do not make sudden movements with the mouse. You can not see the pointer, and if it goes beyond the screen, the basket will not move. Lost a GB that way!
- I consider farm coins to be the 3rd best reward. A couple times they were dropped at the same time as GB or PF. Be wise what to choose. Haven't seen GB and PF at the same time tho.
- Farm coins may be confused with a red and yellow lollipop at the moment the queen throws them.

I'm very happy with these numbers.
I do not regret having spent SG at all to finish tonight.
I would be killing myself if I had tried to do TOP200 and having spent it all.

I think those numbers are similar to what we had last year.

I am sending the baskets as I feel I can get the paper strips myself and I have quite a few super grows in case I don't get enough paper strips. I have 238 paper strips and 180 candy baskets.

I too did the same mistake while going through FAQ - even after looking at the paint tool picture. But luckily didn't go far as purchasing paint palettes in the market.

Im the one whos not happy with the lack of information from BP hence a slow start with drops I just hope the rewards make up for it as others have been saying from previous carnival

 

I may be a bit slow (or stupid?) but how do you donate the Paint? I got off to a slow start but will catch up soon. I was hoping the Paint (if I can find out how to use it) would help! If it is already mentioned, then I must have missed it. Thanks in advance.

 

Paint is a tool found in your 'other' category in the barn. You get it from harvest drops. When you donate to the Carnival queen, everything needed in the step is donated at once. You don't have to donate paint separately

Congrats to those progressing nicely through this event! Good luck on further achievements & finishing with great rewards! Wish I didn't have to work every day of it. Up to this morning, I still haven't been able to grow enough amaranth to plant across all my fields. I just planted one whole field of amaranth on my main farm & one in baha. When I get back from work tonight I should have enough to do another whole field. I planted roses overnight last night & received a little bit better drops this morning. Since I'll be at work all day, I just planted roses again on the other fields that I don't have enough amaranth on yet on my main farm & protea & jovellana on my baha fields that aren't occupied by amaranth. Once I'm able to plant all amaranth on all fields, & build up to my 10,000, I'll feel better about the slim possibility of me being able to finish this event.

Nothing, you are waiting for the Paper strip drops, Jazac
gardengal, don't worry. You can make it. Try to get super grows from the Farmers Society Quests and use them along with white innocence & fruit cake for growing roses or carnation for more drops.

I am yet to start milling. Hoping to finish crops & drops by tomorrow afternoon and then its catching...catching...catching...

 

Wow, you guys are on fire!!! Thanks for all the new tips I haven't used any SG yet, but I might use it when I'm done planting event plants which is my plan for today. I'm almost up to the daily requirements of paper strips due to growing carnations so I think everything will work out (or so I hope) Best of luck to all!
