    Thanks Zero again for crunching the numbers:inlove:

    so no buffs work on this event only water so any buff has to be bought using 'real life money' well no thanks. I will do what I can in my own time

    I tried to count (note to self: Get a life) It looks like it's pretty even 40 + 40 + 40 + 40 + 40. We only start with 10 seed each as well. This might take some time.

    My plan is per usual extremely simple:
    10 seed = 40 new seeds, of both plants.
    Replant Field plant =>4*40 = 160 seeds
    Donate 100 for 40 more plots
    replant 60 field-crop, +20 donate-crop=> 60*4= 240 F-seeds and 20*4= 80 D-seeds (making that total to 100).
    Do one full 80 fields with F-seeds => 80*4 (total 480)
    Donate 200 to unlock 40 plots, making my plot number 120 1x1, and my F-crop at 280,
    Replanting F-seed 120 => 120*4=480, That should make a total of 640 F-crop,
    Donate 400 , new total 240 - field is now 160 1x1.
    Replant all plots with f-seed, Should give me a total of 720 seeds, so only need 80 more and that's a 20 seeds in a 1x1.

    Rest would be donate-crop all in. Somewhere I do plan to sleep and will plant donate crop then.

    This is the plan, all the "oh", "OH NOO", "I must have calculated wrong somewhere", "I forgot..", "I missed..", "what's going on ?" and "WHYYY, Whyyyyy" are not planed for. I'll just take those in my stride when they pop up, and they will - they always do

    "I missed" that, thanks, Marly. Doesn't change much of my strategy tho, which is good. Keep it simple, less chance of a major fudge accident.

    Thanks for the overview Zero.

    As this event is separated from any of the normal farming fields, I'll handle it as if it's Moonlight Mania, meaning I'll try to keep the event field running without too much idle time. Whatever I get from it by doing so I consider a bonus. Won't spend a dime on it.

    My strategy is to use as many 2x2's and 2x1's as possible for the choc roses (plant 1 seed in the 2x2 and get 4 back, 2x1 plant 1 seed, get 2 back) to clear all the fields as soon as possible. Then change back to 1x1's and use the Fruit Pastry for the corn since it doesn't seem to be usable for the choc roses. I wonder if there is a cool down time for that buff?? Hopefully not:p:p Now right at the moment this strategy seems good in my mind but who knows, right??xDxD
    Edit: Moraine, are those figures using some kind of buff? Because if you use 1x1's for the choc roses you will only get 1 extra seed back. Or am I confused (very good possibilityxD)?

    My strategy:
    WAIT AND SEE
    I have the feeling, that something could be changed at the last minute, different information on the german forum twice confirmed there, they even have a pic of the breeding result with a skewer!
    Here in FAQ nothing and question answered with there are NO drops from breeding. Question in German forum gave the following answer from the mod (basically that it will drop when breeding):

    Zitat von spieleteufel1212:
    Verwirrung:
    Sowohl im Spanischen Forum (Beitrag von "Link", Event-FAQs+, Teamleader), als auch im Englischen Forum steht nichts von Drops aus Zuchten. Lediglich aus Zauberbaum und Baustelle. Auf Nachfrage im Englischen Forum antwortet "farmers.almanac", Moderator, dass es nach doppelter Überprüfung ganz eindeutig keine Dropse aus Zuchten gibt. Indista war da ganz anderer Meinung. Damit ich mein restliches Taschengeld nun nicht sinnlos für SF ausgebe, bitte ich um Klärung. Danke

    PS: Dropsen wäre natürlich schöner *lächel*
    Aus gegebenen Anlass mal einen Doppelpups fabriziere :oops: Also auf Nachfrage haben wir Antwort bekommen, es ist wie bereits in der FAQ steht, auch bei der Zucht kann es droppen, hier mal ein Bildchen:

    I Will do some breeding just to see, if it is correct.
    Sorry but I don't like information being different in different fora (forums, forumse etc)

    I won't buy any of the baskets to get that +1buff pastry.

    planting choc roses on 2x2 whereever it fits, then 1x2 and at places where nothing else will fit 1x1. Donate the necessary roses asap to get the additional fields asap too.

    As this is quite a long event with 10 days it should be possible to finish in time and have eventually a few of the grilled corn left over to play more and get more prices.

    I like, that the newer players / lower level players have the same chance as the longterm high level players, as no buff is working.

    Let's go and do it ;)

    Good Luck to everybody and let the drops be generous

    After dragging the image from the FAQ into Paint and making a mess, it looks like we can put a max of 7 2x2 and 3 1x2 plots (with 5 1x1s left over) to start with. That'll give 35 (2x2) and 9 (2x1) seeds for a total of 44 after first harvest.

    From there I'll go to all 1x1s, and after the 3rd harvest I'll have enough seeds to open up the next section, and go back to 2x2s again. Or wait until after the 5th harvest, when I'll have enough to open up the next section and plant all 1x1s... I haven't quite figured out which way will net me the most seeds in the shortest amount of time.

    I'm not going to start on the rainbow corn until I have all sections opened.

    Thanks @clonahmon.

    From what I can tell via Google Translate, it sounds like the German mod asked for direct confirmation from the Game Team, whereas our mod only double-checked the FAQ with the info they were originally given. So it's possible that this was a last minute change that has yet to make its way to certain forums.

    Out of curiosity, I looked through the FAQs of seven different forums. Of those seven, three (German, Hungarian, Polish) said that we do get drops from breeding, whereas the rest (English, French, Italian, Spanish) make no mention of it.

    So confusing... :sleepy:

    It will not matter to me if drops come from breeding or not as we just came through a very intense breeding event using a lot of PF and I don't breed outside Baby boom. I'll just collect the skewers from the event playfield.

    I didn't want to confuse anybody.

    Just in case somebody is short of drops at the end of the day, I thought, if it drops from breeding, this could be a way to reach the goals.

    IF the info in the three fora of drops from breeding is wrong, so be it. But at least I try to inform/forward information/discrepancies between german/english forum (as I have a sister in Germany).

    Everybody has his own strategy/opinion. In future I will still double check information out of different fora.

    Good Luck to all.

    AUNTIE EDIT says: Drops from breeding are now confirmed in the FAQ !!!

    Thanks a heap Zerodegrees, Clonahmon, and Moraine for the info & strategy. I'll putter at this as I can. Main thrust is still with the Queen. No where near to catching stuff yet.

    I'm with PnP on this one, no Baby Boom then no Breeding.

    gahh, I knew It - I had messed up somewhere. -.- Yes, Cac, I just hoovered over to see what the return for a 1x1 is, forgot about the cAC. Now I need to rethink. The new quest also made the entire event different.

    1. So my first actions would be rush to do the first 3 levels, silver, gold and diamond of the quest.
    2. I now have 410 f-crop, so rush to open 1st & 2nd expansion, (410-100-200= 110)
    3. Turn those 120 1x1 into bigger sized plots, under the assumption big plots take one seed, and yield more (3/5)
    4. Do field crop until I have opened all the plots
    5. Do the step 4 in the quest,
    6. switch to donate crop
    7. Do the quests
    8. do as much as I can on the event itself. Using the buffs from the quest.

    I don't plan on buying any baskets, I have premium for my water addiction and any leftover of my "fun-money" is spent on PF . So my main focus will be the quests I think. I don't have a redwood tree, or that silk tree (I think) so I do want those. I actually like this type of event. It requires some planning, which I am terrible at, and some strategy thinking on how to best spend the bottleneck resources. It's was/ is classified as medium, however I suspect with the quest in play it may have changed a bit towards the hard section. I'm all in regardless. :D

    Edit: The quest doesn't start until tomorrow. How silly is that ??

    I planted 10 x 2 by 2 plots of Chocolate Roses and the rest single plots of Rainbow Corn
    Hovering my mouse over the 2 by 2 plots I'm getting 5 plants. :(The single plots give 2 each.

    So I'm only going to use single plots from now on.
    If anyone's experience is different please let me know.:)

    Reading pnp's post below, I see I'm not gaining anything by planting single plots. :oops::)

    The yield is the same if you compare plot sizes.

    a 2x2 yields 5 seeds less 1 for seed = 4
    a 1x2 yields 3 seeds less 1 for seed =2 (times 2 to equivalent to a 2xx)=4
    a 1x1 yields 2 seeds less 1 for seed = 1 (times 4 to be equivalent to a 2x2) = 4

    On my farms that do not have the harvester, I will use 2x2 to avoid as much clicking as possible
