I believe Gandalf is Snowy's calf but she certainly has a girl called Magic (do you follow her herd :) ) hope so! Jennie has just had another compulsory whole herd (cattle) TB test due to their false positive and all clear.... so looking good! phew!
As to whether Gandalf will join the rut??? If no alternative for Katya, then I will put him in with her BUT he'll need a step ladder this year but seeing Freddy's response to a bucket - he'll be up for trying!!!!!

Just noticed for the first time today that Storm eyes are actually blue - it doesn't show up well on photos even close ups but here's the best I have of their colour.

Great news about Gandolf!!!:D Yes, I can clearly see Storm's eyes are blue!!!! Will they change as he matures?

Not sure??? Albino's are always blue but he isn't a true albino... Time will tell..
Close ups, if his eye is in shadow (which he always is with Elsa growling over him!) don't show.

LOL Elsa is growling over him? I thought you said she had mellowed a bit.....now being a mum and all? I've had a fair share of pregnant feral female cats on our property. Usually they calm down and accept us following the birth of their babies.

Elsa has finally brought Storm to the outskirts of the nursery herd... Massive step forward, but she is still threatening me/adult girls when anyone approaches but she is still chilling slightly. He's a little precious to her! ;)

Looking at photos today, I must really check his left eye or maybe we should have called him BOWIE! Not sure.... Just need to check left eye. Lots of photos of left eye but it seems brown BUT in shadow they look brown... Check for me tomorrow, but only a silly check... doesn't really matter. :)

Edit. Scrolling back on here, left eye was blue... So he isn't Bowie, just needs sunlight to show the blue colouring. :)

Lovely pictures of little Storm. I can understand why he is so precious to Elsa, he is so beautiful!

OM Goodness, I thought Gandalf... The baby bull I had booked was grey and white, he was as a tiny baby. (Jennie wants brown reindeer as she has mud in Winter).
But just had these pictures and he is prettier than I could have hoped for!!! Happy dance continuing!!!

Sorry to hear you are rubbish, Karen. So, double thanks for the pics. :) Gandolf is a cutie pie, and Boris is going to
have a magnificent rack!! It looks like he is coming for some cuddle time. :)

Joanc123.. Thanks for your wishes BUT I am fine, was just feeling Rubbish that I had been doing chores and not taken photos for you all...
I did take photos today but cannot get all 5 babies in the same shot as they are just too busy. :)
I'm sitting on the bench/picnic table, so lose focus at times when they come in too close to say hello.... but you'll see them all. :)
Freddy has antler "nubs" too, big enough that they got stuck in trug handles - not on video. Big boy now!

Great video Karen, it is nice to see little Storm with the others. As for Freddy, well he is just a mini version of Hector, he is just so cute!

Love how Storm is leading Elsa all over the place, yet runs straight back to Mum if anything slightly scary happens. Classic :inlove::inlove:

Wow!! What a fabulous glimpse into the life of your wonderful herd. Oh my goodness, I actually forgot about the monkey queen and almost felt like I was right there on the picnic table with you! Wow! Thank you Karen... I needed that happy trip across the pond. :)

Weather has been pretty wet here today... If it continues Hectors nose guard will come off...
He had managed to peel it back this morning but it was piddling it down and I had decided once his nose guard came off it was easier to remove whole head collar.... BUT he needed a manicure... Yesterday I saw Hector had broken, split hooves so was in serious need of a manicure.. We did a pedicure tango this afternoon.. Will check out weather forecast and he may loose the Darth Vader look.
Herd update, I think someone has stolen Elsa and replaced her with her twin sister.... She has changed SOOOO much, she is a relaxed happy girl accepting me and the other mothers' and calves walking beside her.
Only took one photo in the rain today, so nothing exciting but Jennie has sent me a silly photo of my new BULL calf. :)[IMG]

Nice to hear that Elsa has changed in temperament so much, motherhood obviously suits her. I hope that Hector enjoyed his pedicure tango with you today!
