Carnival Queen - Strategy Thread

Haven't got to catching the goodies in the basket yet ...got all the crops now its the drops am waiting for ....will put some refined carnation in over night ...hopefully that will help ..have 3 papers left got two spaces on the right side to finish for the yanglang tree or whatever it's called AND the machinery has just run out

 

Can I join the MQOCD club??? I've got it bad! LOL I login to harvest & replant.....and then say "I'll just play a few rounds with the Queen" HA ...then I look up and 30 minutes have passed. I cannot get enough of the Queen's loot!!!! My prizes are not as high as yours habalala, but I have nearly 250 more GB's and tons of everything else!!!!!

Good luck to all those still working to reach the Monkey Queen!!! It's definitely well worth it!!!

 

When you do you experience the joyfull feeling of gaining as much goodies in 25 seconds instead of it usually taking weeks to get that much.. definately you're in! Welcome

 

I can't wait to join!! I have finished the right side and the middle of the float! Now I just have to get another 224 paper strips to do the left side and to finally get to join the parade! Good luck to everyone and congrats to all of you already in the parade!

The Queen is indeed very kind, but she also seems to want to confuse us. Watch out for bananas right below the float when she is exiting

I have also been able to get some bank shots(think basketball) off the wall to the far left at the very end of the 25 seconds.

For all my good intentions/strategy I shamelessly caved because I cheated. I'm a cheater.
I mulled over last years event; got weak and googly eyed and my hand clicked on something and got some paper strips.

259 strips left to get got 5 fields of long crops to harvest later so hopefully that will make a good dent so should be with queen Sunday evening/Monday morning im glad it got extended as would of had no chance

I mostly grew roses to get my paper strips. Now I'm getting lots of prizes with the candy baskets.

If your basket gets stuck try pushing it away from you as you slide it from side to side

 

The FAQ doesn't mention the specific amounts of the rewards in the in mini game. So I figured it out!

In addition of the candy, for each of an item in your basket you'll get:

Golden Banana 1
Power Feed, Suzy Super Grow, Suzy Turbo Mulch 2
Farm Coin 3
Super Grow 5
Coin 30 CC * your farm level (I'm lvl 97 and get 2910 CC per coin)
Hat 50 EP * your farm level (I'm lvl 97 and get 4850 EP per hat)
Banana Hat 40 TEP * your BAHA level (I'm lvl 331 and get 13240 TEP per banana hat)

The Monkey Queen by far is the fastest way to gain EP/TEP. Take adventage of it as you won't have the oppertunity to do get that much EP/TEP this fast any other time of the year!
She throws things at random but catching 5-10 hats per round is very common. It feels like harvesting the park and shipwreck bay every 20 minutes

For those asking about breeding, not everyone waits till BBD to breed. I bred 5 sets of basic cats and got 5 skewers.

 

Affter finishing the first part, I switchen the fields to full fields of animals of ONE sort only, so that all will be ready at the same time.
I am not sure, but it feels, that this gives better drops of baskets than mixed fields. So I have 1 field koalas, 1 field pandasd, 1 field cats, 1 field dogs and the last field with special trees and cats again.
In total this gives me around 50-70 baskets per harvest of all fields. Not too bad I think, but I can be mistaken with this. But I am very happy!
Leveled on baha 4 times now only because of the monkey queen hats. Thats 20 additional bananas YEAH.
I LOVE IT!!! Never had so many golden bananas, super grow, suzy supergrow or superfood without doing anything (exempt shuffling a basket from right to left)

I finished this event early this morning I haven't played the Monkey Queen bc I was getting the first few levels of that other quest out of the way(in between the grandkids & dogs) Better eat some lunch first (feed the brain cells) Hope everyone has a great time at the parade!!

 

carnival queen done. now stackin up the extra's. round two lets get the motor home, then the stalk, this wont be as bad as it looked.

 

I noticed that the monkey queen thrice (start, middle and end) in the game is throwing rewards simultaneously on either side and so you cannot catch both of them and have to chose one. If they are chocolates or Eps, then no problem. But when it comes to PFs, GBs, SGs or farm coins, we have to miss one.

I never thought I would do this deliberately - put 48 hrs to 36 hrs workshops in 2 fields with crafting buffs for workshopsand fed them with power feeds - yes power feeds. We usually get atleast 2 power feeds and sometimes up to 6 in some mini game, so thought that wasn't a loss. Will see the amount of drops, I get tomorrow. If it is the same as field of cats, then no more PFs feeding. But if not, then go on...repeat it. I will let you know the results tomorrow morning. This game has given me 1000 PFs and 3030 SGs & 330 GBs so far. I leveled up thrice in bahamarama & bought some PFs with Farm coins. These are included in the above list. Also bought party tickets with farm coins and won lots of SGs, some PFs and the mystic nightmare.

It's nice to read so many of us do enjoy the parade and have good fun and great rewards.

While playing the mini game (well over 700 times by now) I noticed the MQ throws all of her goodies in 3 circles. I watch her hands to see what she throws in what circle and act accordingly.

1. Small circle - goodies end up right under the queen, left or right side of the stairs
2. Middle circle - goodies end up left or right side of the float, at the wheels
3. Big circle - goodies end up beyond (way in front or way behind the float)

I try to keep my basket to go with the middle circle and for as long as I can I only move 1 circle to the left or right while catching goodies. By moving the basket between the small and middle circle, left or right, moving quite fast at times, I'm able to catch EVERYTHING she throws at me for about half the time of the game. I let go all she throws in the big circle. There are exceptions where I simply have to catch something in the outer circle, when that happens I move the basket between outer and middle circle from there on.

In short: keep the basket moving within the float for as long as you can. This works well for me, thought I'ld share it.

To those still struggling to join the parade: invest all your resources and keep going! We expect everyone to join the party!

Now spoiling precious PF on workshops huh? ... that's the ultimate way to express how well this event/mini game treats us

I even put an apiary and used PF on it. But tomorrow unless the drop rates are exceptional, I will not continue it.

 

Have put Stables out to get more baskets...put the ones that had the most feeds ... have got a tiny bit fed up with milling ...got a field full of them..so hopefully they will give more baskets...fingers and toes crossed
And will have 100 chocolate roses next harvest...so have a little bit started on that event

Well 12ss12 at least the Apiary is good for something ..since it's been taken over by the honey trees
Have got some of the classics out on my field ...is nice to see them again
