Carnival Queen - Strategy Thread

I had the same experience as you with about 90 baskets left in the last 2 hours...I had today off work, so thought no problem. I stuck with the Queen until the last minute, but lost over 70 baskets due to the lag in the game. On a positive note though, I did catch lots of goodies when the game was working properly!

 

yep, lost 15 with glitches, completed about 5 over the last 2 hours. The last basket I started at 2 minutes before the end of the event and it never finished in time and left it until 35 minutes after the event and gave up
Had 70 left at the end of the time. It was glittchy so didn't even go to all my fields to finish harvesting for more baskets. Funny how after the event, game works great again.

 

Out of the trees I won another Ponytail(only had 1) Roillnia and XXL Wampee. The rest were average. The stalls I got another Hippo, Axolotl, and a Pink Monkey Plus the usual Classic II Sloth's and Elephants. I love those Classic II pens

 

Finished all my baskets before the game started to lag. So did not get struck with it. Got such a lot of goodies from Monkey Queen and I am happy. Can't say that I got anything good from wonder stables & trees. I started limiting my basket drops from Sunday morning as it is too much of a strain to play such a lot of baskets and I already got 1500 PFs. Now it is 2295 PFs, 7062 SGs and 793 GBs. Before the event started I place all my long hours workshop to get maximum number of baskets and that gave me a lead. I couldn't play the game on any of my other farms, except on the second one. There too I finished the 2500 candies points and let go waste, the baskets. and I did not harvest the stables for nearly 3 days as I knew I can't play them. No off to the next event.

Forgot to add,
I got party tickets for farmwheel using Farm Coins and won a Mythic Nightmare. Yesterday from regular spins got a 2nd Mythic Nightmare and 1st Phoenix Nightmare and also a lighthouse birdhouse. So happy on several counts.

 

Monkey Queen has returned and event has been extended!

The event is now live and will end on Tuesday, 6th of June at 22:00 CEST (UTC+2).

 

good news, although I used up all my basket, my friend got near 200 basket
not able to used last night!
She will be very happy to hear such good news, Hope she got some good stuff,
She heard that I had collect lot of GB & some good prizes from monkey queen.
She annoying how she could not stand waiting in a sleeply mode!
Now, She could collect the prize in awake brain.

 

I had used up my baskets before issues arose and because I was at work so had planned to do what I could. Now really happy as getting extra baskets thank you BP

 

As I had used up all my baskets, I took down all pens, so no baskets for me any more. Still Happy.

Any strategies on how to stay awake until 10pm Coffee has tried and failed

 

Highly likely to be some lag in the hour(s) before the event ends (again). Finish your basket well before, skip the coffee and go to bed when you want to

 

Take some ice cubes, put them in your pants and dance around like a crazy person.

 

Thanks! Hahahaha, zerodegrees I think I'll try Moraine's suggestion first, but if that doesn't do the trick - well let's just say... I'm a little desperate and open to creative ideas

 

In the past, when I needed to pull several all-nighters in a row and coffee alone wasn't cutting it, I would sometimes take caffeine naps (drink coffee and then sleep for 20-30 mins) or use energy drinks.

Moving around also helps (e.g. jumping jacks).

 

Yay! I just finished 40 baskets - but did have some brain shut downs. The best example is when 2 GBs fell simultaneously and all I did was to look at them. Needless to say - I didn't catch any of them I will now do a coffee nap like you suggest, Zero. They actually work very well for me too. Maybe I'll do jumping jacks when I wake up Thank you both for the suggestions

 

Huzzay for another extention. Totally unexpected. I too was able to use up all my baskets yesterday and did spend about an hour afterwards to rearrange my farm. This morning I did my buffs and harvested long term overnight crops on all fields and noticed Paper Strips kept dropping. I thought BP simply forgot to close the drops, ignored the signal and replanted crops. Only when I went to check the Parent Day Event I noticed the MQ button was up again.. drat! .. there goes my scedule for today. 38 baskets from menageries and manufactories .. filled in 30 minutes. Now in doubt, buy more baskets or not? I've filled over 1,500 already. It seems unwise to run a check on my greed level. I want to be wise and resist the urge. Bare with me.

LOL I've done that... multiple times. My brain keeps trying to shut down too, so I'd just sit there staring at the GBs as they landed outside my basket. Then I'd realize what just happened and facepalm.

I'm also battling my subconscious, who apparently prefers EP/TEP over the more valuable rewards (GB, PF, FC, SG, SSG, STM). If it keeps happening, I'm just gonna go ahead and glue my hand to my forehead.

A clear brain is a must for watching the queen's boat.
Last night, a sleepy brain make me closed my eye serveral time & then
when I awake , the boat already moving.
Most of time, when I stay awake.....
I either wait for the boat to move or the game to end
so, left around 190 boat, I give up.
Happy to find that BP extend the event as compensation for yesterday server lagging!

I used up all my basket. Got my target, collect over 100GB, many PF, SG, SSG, farm coin.

More happy is the BEP I collect managed to level up 1 level,
Being over 300 baha level, It will need tons of BEP to level up

 

So happy I pretty much left my farm the way it was. Just switched some pens out for others. But I was confused when I saw baskets dropping but immediately knew they brought the Monkey Queen back!! It was either that or face the wrath of the community I am filling mine as soon as I get them....lesson learned
