The Requirement chart has been adjusted to better suit the melon generation stages Also we are sorry to inform you that due to technical reasons, the Melon Magic buff will only work on the Main Lands, it will not effect the Tropical fields ​

Hi all

Thanks for all the number crunching and tips. I was wondering if I can use suzy's super grow and CAC at the same time. Do both work in increasing harvest?

I have a few CAC that I have been collecting but don't want to waste if it does not add anything once SSG is used.

By avoiding the useless dispensers of the 4 first steps (the first 4 diamond tasks), only 610 event crops of each of the 4 basic kinds are needed. I'll produce a bit more than that figure of each of those just to get a remnant and decide later (once I finish all the rest) if I really want the other stuff coming in those steps. I don't think so -maybe the 15 turbo-mulch-. So, no SG/Suzy-spray really needed past the very first seeds.

There's plenty of time to do this very calmly.

EDIT: I've just seen habalala's post in previous page saying the exact same thing. Sorry for having duplicated the same conclusion.

 

CAC always gives a +2 on all crops. Adding SSG gives another +2. Combined it'll boost your crops with +4.
Just make sure you activate both prior to harvest.

To all:
The easiest way to make 610 of each basic melon (needed to do Silver an Gold steps 1-4 and get 3 seeds of each for the next step):
Make 20 2x2 fields and apply CAC and SSG (water, manure, SG optional) - gives 5*9 = 45 of each
Make 90 1x2 fields and apply CAC and SSG (water, manure, SG optional) - gives 45*7 = 315 of each
Repeat the 2nd step once and you'll have 315 - 45 (replant) + 315 = 585 of each basic melon. all simultaniously grown!
Many ways to get the remaining 25 needed, all up to you!
Alternative to do it in three harvests: on the repeat, switch 52 1x2 fields into 2x2's, replant each 13 of those with each basic melon. Gives you an additional 26 of each.

I went for a hike before the melons came (Can't get Gandal's voice out of my head. It was supposed to be cloudy with a hint of sun, but as usual the local weather god got sun and rain mixed up so I didn't stop on top and plant the seed. All my plots were 1x1, due to old habit. Not the best start to an event. It surely will take me a bit longer to reach the needed amount.

 

habala, I do believe it's only 510 needed, not 610 Or did I miss something?

 

Thanks Mooboy and Brookeham. Before my hols, I did a six day week (all early starts) so not much energy left for farming. I couldn't prepare for the Carnival Queen cos it came out of the blue (for me anyways!) but it was great to get away and have a rest from work for a while. If only the weather had been better but that's another story ...

Me, I'm all over the place with planting. Using three fields, got a couple of animal pens and trees still needing to finish (and I hate ripping them out early!) so my third plantation is a mix of three melons. Will continue with the other type tomorrow until I get enough of all of them. Am I right in thinking we still need 1,020 of the first four melons to finish the event? Didn't really understand the change to the FAQs. Not jet lagged (took the car lol) but still have the holiday head on!

 

I only saw a slight change to what colour are donated together in the first 4 steps, for me it looks like the same amount all over both with prizes and crops requires. Have I missed something?

For some reason I got booked an additional 5 seeds of each since all my crop where in the field at the checking time

 

Illy, as far as I can tell it's 510 black melon and 510 white melon for the 1st level. 510 black melon and 510 green melon for 2nd level. 510 white melon and 510 yellow melon for 3rd level. 510 yellow and 510 green for level 4. So that adds up to 1020 of each of THOSE kind of melons to complete all 3 steps of the first 4 levels.

 

Hi guys, im sure its 610 melons to complete level 1 and 2 on first 4 quests to get next generation melons unless its been changed in last few hours

 

135 each for the silver level PLUS 170 each for the gold level = 305 needed. Double this due to cross breeding and I end up needing 610 each to do SILVER and GOLD only on the first four levels.

The confussion raised because I won't do the Diamond levels 1-4. I thought I stated that right in my post. If you wish to do Diamond level as well, you'll need 135+170+205 = 510. Cross breeding makes that 1020 each to do SILVER and GOLD and DIAMOND on the first four levels.

 

I am done with levels 1-4 silver, gold and diamond now I'm working on growing my 7 hr crops and I started really late too this wont be as difficult as it sounded good luck everybody

Have done the silver levels of task 1-6, now I have my leftover seeds of step 1-6 in overnight as well as 9 seeds of the seeds for step7 (forgive me, but I cannot remember all the melon names).

Cant believe how some of you are on 2nd level melons, but as for me Im at where I thought/want to be. Will start next level tomorrow im off work so should be able to see clearer whats required I think!!!!!!

 

I understand now how you were figuring it. I get confused when I read too many diff ways of doing things It all works out in the end!! Finished the first 2 steps of lv 1 and have those 7 hr seeds going. My next harvest I should be done with the Black, White and Green and a few more of the Yellow. Then the first 4 levels will be done. It's a little perplexing that we are given an extra day and no drop requirement But there are still plenty of crops to grow

I have no idea if I'll get the dispensers or not. They really don't seem to be needed to complete this event.

 

Are the dispensers worth getting?
