Melon Madness Strategy Thread

I am on my own since this morning until friday evening, so I think I will put on my alarm to harvest and reseed.
Have never done that before
As all my 8h crops are grown, signed sealed delivered, I will put the necessary seeds in with water overnight. This way I shall hope to be a little bit ahead of the game YEAH
At the moment I have a mix of all generations in the fields, keeping a list, of what I have, what's needed and how much is in the fields and their harvest, so I know, when and how much I can deliver.
With one little hickup it is working quite well.

Note to self. Finish off each part before moving onto next growing crops. Ive got 6 types of melons that need growing ive confused myself thats before starting dragon melon

I did pal, but it went out the window

 

I started growing Dragon Melon overnight, just over 1 field with 1x1's. Prior to harvesting my fields I usually do see what prizes are offered on the Farmwheels -some days I forget- and today there was a +1 on crops for 6 hrs on the regular Farmwheel. Slim chance to win it but King Lucky Melon was on my side and I won! Whooo hooo!

I'll make good use of it, finish the quest in a few hours and will keep smiling all day long!

Back on track now, seeing Ive grown enough I will get dispensors along with the awards associated with diamond levels. You never know BP will have a use for them

Should be completed sometime tomorrow just put Dragon seeds in so will have 1x1's in tonight for overnight growing

 

It's very clear what BP wants to use any dispensers for after the event, from faq: "After the Event, the dispensers will remain in Game, but will hand out EP / TEP only and can be placed on all lands, park and shipwreck bay."

My plan didn't work as intended, so I still have a couple of black balls, yellow balls and black dice to grow. No idea how I misscalculated those. But no problem, it's only diamond level left, the sun & the bee are on their 2nd planting. In comfy fields with SG and the lot on them. Will do 1x1 when replanting and just water. Then comfy over night I think, with a sprinkle of SG. That would fit the time schedule. I feel on track, on the right boat with my passport stamped and both oars.

 

what are some things besides CAC that can be used? ive been reading you only need a gold slot what product would you use in the gold slot please i have been away from the game for a long while due to family medical issues so this is the first quest that i have done since coming back to the farm any advice would be appreciated as i am having to relearn so many things that i have forgtten lol thanks in advance

 

Cac are diamond slot, the reward from the event is silver.

The type of slot required is noted under the name and picture of the product.

Got three of them so far...not bad considering I haven't got a clue what I am doing so many melons is hard to keep track of what ones are needed

 

Finished! All tasks done, CR up and running. Switching to manure farming as the smelly stuff sells like delicious pancake on the market.

Happy to have a couple of days in a row for free farming, definately needed that!

This event is well doable so keep going fellow farmers!!

 

i have finished as well Thanks to 200% harvest plus 100% harvest x2 from party spins , all running at same time .

 

Yes, the smelly stuff is selling amazingly well I've sold some for more than 1600 CCs and made some millions as I've skipped this event, but now I'm back to crops as there's a Happy Harvest weekend coming up. I'm going to grow all my new Baha crops, yay! I hope you're all having (or had) fun doing this event

IMHO, the dispensers are as useful as t*ts on a bull once you have seeds, as the space the dispensers take up are better used for 1x1 crops... (esp if you use CAC)

Plant these in those squares and them in that size square until you have too many and then start the other(s) after these thoses are finished! Comprendez?

The sleepless night with additional harvests made the difference, but I will definitely not doing something like that again. I am sooo tired, that I have to go to sleep now.
Longterm crops on all 5 fields with a few trading trees (sugar etc).

@davidb1yth007 : put the dispensers in the park or shipwreck so they won't take valuable growing space

quick tip maybe a little late but. when using the harvester and seeder on the field your workin put the melon in the favorites slot at the top. only grow what you have there, its easyer to keep track of.

 

Thanks oldman for the tip. I tried it this event first time ever yesterday and learned that you have to add your favorites to each field. I thought that I would put them in favorites in the order I wanted to plant them to help keep them straight but when I moved from the Main field to the Green Meadow, I discovered I had to repopulate the seed menu again.

I finished the event on this farm and the other farms should be finished by 2am CR is up and going plenty of time left so good luck to all still working on it ive got my bears back out and some other animals I'm trying to build up to 2500
