Melon Madness Strategy Thread

wow, you guys are fast! Well done!
Have you guys spent a lot of SG to get there ? I'm on my last type of melon. 93h left, cac still running, so pretty much on schedule.

 

Wow you people are fast... Sorry got to save my Super Grow.(I did use some though) I am working on Task 7 first step right now.. Tasks 1 to 6 all is left is step 3, I had thought I bought some buffs to add to the crops... but only buff i have is for the other and tropical. Not sure if that will work... I don't have any, for all crops.. I just now figured out what CAC means....lol I think I figured it out before, but forgot.

To all that don't know what CAC means its Carrot Apple Chutney. I know I seen someone asked that question. I just got 2 of them. Soon as I make more coins I will buy more. My things isn't selling atm...lol

 

Well done to those that have finished, there is plenty of time left so to those still to finish keep going you will get there.

as for me im 20 dragon melons short!!!!!!!!! Wont be long though just awaiting for a few plots to harvest then im done

I just finished the event I did use more SG on the Dragon melon-first 3, then 9, then filled the glade with 2x2 and nuked them. Just bc I wanted to be done!! Congrats to those who have completed what they wanted to and as stated there is plenty of time to finish. Plus there's the Happy Harvest running until Sunday morning

 

At Last Finished this Event this Morning Phew. As I did do some nuking using SG and SSG to build up stocks of these Melons.

I have completed all of the steps of this Quest. Now what to do with these Dispensers i did not use them to grow Melons as there was not point in it. They are not good EP/TEP Givers either.

 

Finished and activated the cloud row. Finished in full and got the dispensers. I do not know what they give after the event is over. But Pea dispensers of previous event gives good CCs. So I am hoping these dispensers give CCs too. But I am not able to find the official announcement of the same. Anyone knows where it is available ?

 

The FAQ says, " After the Event, the dispensers will remain in Game, but will hand out EP / TEP only and can be placed on all lands, park and shipwreck bay."

Finished leveled 1-6 working on level 7 now, I have at least one field of sun melons and one of bee melon growing. May switched to comfort fields to do level 8.

 

I am now doing all step 3 of quests 1 to 8.... working backwards though..... useing like 3 and a half farms for this event ... i am totally surprised i didn't have to redo 2 of my farms... but had i done so maybe i could've been done by now....lol I still got alot of planting to do... but for most part 2/3 done....lol

not useing comfort fields as I dont have time issues... and to me thats all they good for is time issues... unless someone can help me out i can be wrong...but they did slow me down on a event not long ago...

edit i meant to add maybe with CAC they can be great help...

 

Am I missing something... because I don't see the point of these melon dispensers...Do they actually give us melons ?

 

They do until the event ends.
I have all of them on the shipwrecck and still getting 2 melons each every 6 or 7 hours. Nice addition; I don't have to do anything and still get the conversion.

After event ends they give EP/TEP.
All stated clearly in the FAQs

 

Nellie: I think they give 2 Melons every 6 hours (or 7 or 8 hours if they are for the first levels). The only use I think they would be is for overnight, if you haven't enough seeds to fill your fields or, especially with the later level Melons, if you accidentally donate all your Melons, the dispensers would give you another chance to build up your seeds again.

I finished yesterday. I found this event quite interesting and fairly calm. I only used SG and SSG with the initial Melons at each level to speed up the seeds at the start.

The event took quite a bit of organisation and I had a bit of luck - I won the +200% crops on the wheel just when I needed it!

Edit: Just an aside, where do I get Sugar-Apples from? I have Rolling Sugar-Apple trees but these don't seem to be the same thing. I have been trying to finish as many FSQs as possible - mainly to try to build up my stock of PF which was virtually zero. I had to replenish my animal feeds so PF took a back seat ... anyhoo, I digress! Sugar-Apples anyone?

 

Ahh Ok thank you Clonahmon and Illy ...haven't had a lot of time to find out about them with things being done to the cottage

Same here for the last two months. house painting inside and out, new tiles in hall and kitchen, RL garden to be nurtured and looked after.. Lots going on in Real life here. But imho it is even more important to read FAQs over and over so there are no mistakes in my own strategy and everything in Farmerama runs smoothly. RL is hectic enough

 

Looks lovely now it's been done ...it's had a new kitchen and oak flooring all down stairs...painted out side ...now its only painting inside when the plasters dry and then only sort the garden out
But it's a pain while it's being done

 

Thanks, Habalala! It's a bit confusing when there are two Sugar-Apples in the game, one rolling and one in a completely differently named tree!

Now I only need another 85 or 86 (who's counting?) Golden Bananas to get that and the other tree to finish of yet another FSQ. Gonna be a while.

 

Congrats to all who finished!! Way to go! I have hope that I might actually finish this event; the first event I'll ever be able to finish so far. However, we'll see. Not 100% sure yet. I have the last 2 full tasks to do & 41 hours left. Almost have enough bee & sun melons for the 1st round of the 7th task. Growing growing growing. I might be setting my timer & waking up through the night! I'm watering but can't afford to keep buying manure. Nowhere near enough SG or SSG, but might use what I do have on the last task.
