Strategy: Cat & Dog Days

phoenixboy, you need 50 teasers and 50 bones. So if you breed 50 set of "cat selection" and 50 sets of "dog selection" , you will have enough of the teasers and bones. Any leftover can be donated toward the global thing. I have put in 40 cat and dog each. Going to wait and see what comes out and breed the final 10 of each. 250 Tabby or Dalmation? I have no where near those numbers Think I'm going to pretty much stick to what I came up with today. Def have enough cats and dogs to spare. Good luck to all and let's see if we can actually do this!!

Edit: nicorette, the last givers, Royal Flush Cat and Basset Dogs aren't needed for the CR. They are just extra givers if we make the additional 4 billion to hit 30 billion

 

Well, I suppose we could fight like cats and dogs over the whole event. But, then there was this black cat and this bulldog that I had...they pretty much made that adage moot.

I had to go back and look at the event FAQ one more time. I think I'm still confused. But, I am ready. I have lots of dogs. And lots of cats. And lots of power feed.

Oh yeah - and I found a time conversion app for my phone. I don't call myself "dumbunny" for nothin'...missed an hour of Moonlight Mania because I have a problem with the math between CEST and MDT. heavy sigh.

Hi all! I'm a little confused about this event. I currently have 47 cats and 44 dogs. Is it even worth it for me to do? Would I have a chance of finishing at all? I'll buy the PF I need if I do have a chance because it's not too terribly expensive, but if I'm understanding correctly, we will still need lots of other animals to donate as well? I don't have lots of other animals.

 

I've added a few notes to the original post to clarify some things.

Here are a few quotes from the German mods to back up some of my statements.

• So, I have now answer to the entrance question - one can start both breeds at the same time - it drops both. (source)
  
• If both individual tasks have been fulfilled and the two joint tasks are also fulfilled, then both CRs are obtained. (source)
  
• For the joint task, a total of 56,000,000,000 people are needed
  1st stage 26,000,000,000 and then another 30,000,000,000 for stage 2. (source)

Also, this part in the FAQ:

For example : To be eligible for the step 1 Global reward if reached, you need to complete steps 1 - 5 of the Individual progress bar. To be eligible for the Step 2 Global reward if reached, you need to have finished steps 1 - 8 of the Individual progress bar for the chosen animal.​

is not in any of the other language FAQs I've read. Not sure what to make of that...

I doubt you'll get very far with just 47 cats and 44 dogs. You might have enough to do the first step if you do some breeding during Baby Boom, but that's probably about it. See habalala's post to get a sense of the kinds of numbers you need to complete the event.

 

I've got the breeding pen stuffed full for the BBD tomorrow morning for the first time ever thanks to the generous Monkey Queen, mostly with cats and dogs. Still haven't decided if I'm going to do the event though. Between the high requirements and meh rewards, I feel like a Weeble as I go back and forth trying to decide to-do or not-to-do. I guess I'll see how things go with the BBD tomorrow and how many - if any - skips I get. I like habalala's break down, but I don't have near enough of the base animals or the first breeding, so maybe I'll toss out a few more pens and try and bolster my counts up too.

 

I'm beginning to question whether I want to do this event too lol ive already made 30 million selling cats and dogs I'm addicted I have 66 of each in the breeding house and just over 1000 of each left in the barn if I have enough ill do the event lol that is if I can stop selling them

 

Awww I hate baby doomer events ...haven't made up my mind to do this event or not to do this event

Cloud row only gives EP and TEP

 

If we finish global requirements for both cats & dogs, we will get both cloud rows. Because the requirement is to deposit a particular EV of animals. So whether we finish which one first is immaterial. The other forums, I think, have decide first to go for cats & once it is finished to dogs. It is because by doing one animal first, we put all our animals & CCs into one and try to finish atleast one. After that we can try for the other & try with our remaining resources to finish it. What would happen if we do both simultaneously and run out of resources & couldn't finish both of them.

I bought more cats to sell. So donating cats for personal quest is solved. I can sell a part of it and deposit the remaining to the quest and make CCs too.

 

So that means If we don't reach the Global target ...we don't get the cloud row or rows
Have got most of the things that are being given for rewards ...coloured stable don't bother me (now If they had been pink it would be different)

So If we don't reach the global target( which has happened in the past)
we are left with Just the cloud givers?

 

While doing global donations there is 15 intermittent levels with rewards. The rewards are EPs. Only if we complete the global donation in full we get the cloud row. Else we have to be contended with the EPs.


Also there are 2 Steps in global donations which give us 2 rewards. 1st one gives us the rewards of cloud row, PFs, party spins etc. After finishing the 1st, we then go to the 2nd step which gives us Royal Flush cats & Basset Dogs for cats & dogs respectively.

Am sitting this one out ...my barn is worth more to me then what is being given as rewards
I can make pink jelly... valentine pots ... pheremones.... power feed ...suzy super grow ...why would i want these as a reward ?

 

good morning all since i am new and only at level 28 i figured yesterday i can make dog and cat food at least and sell these things so far i make 225000 coins lol i love this event already instead of playing it it gives me the chance to build money and finish quests by buying things back so i level faster too better than try to start an event i am not able to do yet have a great one ya all and i will be busy on the market today

 

Finished both Cats and Dogs, and donated to Global as well. Best and easiest event I think I've ever had the pleasure of doing! Couldn't have done it without all you wonderful posters in the rumor thread - the Grapevine!!

 

Annnddd...they're off! Done with personal doggie donations, starting in on global. Gotta get those poker pups, rofl!

maria, great attitude! I know many new farmers get frustrated when they can't take part in or complete events, don't realize how long it takes to be able to do so. Events are excellent opportunities for smaller farms to earn some easy CCs, I know my mini me farm is selling cats and dogs for good profits to further my goals there.

side note: love the animal animations ! The dizzy pup kills me, lol.

 

Done with the personal part. Donated 3 cats there and 3 dogs here for the global part. Now going to sit back and relax and see the progress in global bar and most of all do marketing.

 

Also finished Cats and Dogs and 150,000 so far to each Global. Thank you, all who helped so much by posting all those rumours in the Grapevine....could not have done it without you!!

 

I'm confused do I have to donate all in to global to get CRs or does they accumulate what everybody donates into it?

 

Wow! Way to go! You are already done! I'm trying to calculate if I have to do more breeding
