I did that too Nellie. Yesterday I put out workshops and didn't notice the requirement for deluxe lure. So now have put out crops with super grows+comfort fields+buffs and later on trees with mulch.

White Innocence + Fruit Cake + elixir of life + source of life + comfort fields+ super grows + water + Manure+ Refined Carnation / Carnation or roses.

elixir of life & source of life speeds up growth of flowers in normal farms.

We all get a free [basic] fishing lure at the beginning of the event to try out the mini game.

I noticed the drop requirements for the deluxe lure when the FAQ was first posted, but that didn't help me much because they changed it about an hour and half later. I had already put out and fed my workshops by then, so I decided to just leave them out and roll with it.

 

I didn't change anything. Hope it doesn't come back to bite me you know where I put away most of my pens away and will now concentrate on those hooks for the moment. Left my trees out though

I was lucky to sticking to All Trees in All Fields. As there was bit of confusion over what is required for Deluxe Lures.

On my initial Harvest i got 272 Metal Discs, so i am well chuffed to have good start to this event for Deluxe Lures we need Trees and Crops only.

But those of you who will be using Stables and Workshops can work on Premium Lures, But Drop Rate of Lure Feathers needs to be Tried and Tested at First.

If you are happy to stick to Deluxe Lures then you only need to put out Trees and Crops only. But i need to leave out my Bear Habitat Pens out. We should be hearing about be able to Buy Bear Habitat and Bear Yellow Habitat from the Stores. As is less than four weeks away for Bear Breeding which has been announced to start on 20th July 2017.

At the moment i am keeping any eye on what Drop Rate like for Fishing Hooks on our Crops.

By the way i would not use Source of Life on Flower Crops as it only makes 6% Difference on Flower Crops they are selling for 400,000 cc in my market. Also been quiet costly to make. I have remembered about using Deluxe Fruit Mixer. As i have won a Buff that can give me 20% Reduction time on Flower Crops. Which is actually a faction of the cost of Source of Life not to mention 20% is better than 6%. Which is doing a lovely Job in one of my Gold Slot. I have the Flower Cloud Row activated too added further Reduction on my Flowers by 10% which i can use on my refinement roses or Carnations but cannot use these just yet. As my refinement is bit tired up at the moment. So Zero Degrees and 12ss12. Now it food for thoughts into Strategy Plan.

 

True. It is very costly. But I decided to use it. As I had it in my barn and I used comfort fields and the reduction in time is remarkable. Now converted the comfort fields to ordinary fields and put carnation with all the ingredients mentioned in the formula and it takes only about 10 hrs and 20 mins or so for next harvest. So I can harvest it and go to work in the morning. No delay for work. Such is the EOCD.

Players with low CC balance can skip the product if it is too costly. Everything differs from one farm to another.

I am bad at remembering numbers and statistics. So every time, I test the combination in 1 plot and then carryout it on whole fields.

I tried the deluxe mixer in Spa several times and it is really useful. I used up all my spa products, so now a days I do not try it. But thanks Mooboy for reminding it. I will try to make more spa products or buy some at low price and try it next time.
I miss the flower cloud row.

May be some drink from the baha spa would make you feel better about tired up refinement

Vegetable crops too have refinements & buffs. That formula can also be worked out.

 

In reading Event FAQ quickly i over looked this, and thought maybe others had to, so i am Posting it here in case.

You will need to collect different types of drops to produce lures in the mill. You can choose between Fishing (normal), Premium and Deluxe lure. You will always catch something! The Premium and Deluxe lures will increase the number of fish you catch - 1 fish for Fishing lure, 2 fish for Premium lure and 3 fish for Deluxe lure!

I will be using Deluxe Lures as it gives 3x the catch

I went to see the Angler Shop and figured out I'll need a total of 1230 coins to get the new CR and it's givers (750) plus all but the sticker from the misc. section (840).

Standing after 1 round of fishing (Deluxe 9, Premium 3, Lure 1): 348/1230

7 premium and 12 normal lures gave me 222 coins YEAH.
Could buy the 2016 CR already plus one of the related givers for 140 coins. 12 coins left, but in a few minutes, my field is ready to harvest.
We will see how it goes.

 

Well, Deluxe lure is the only way to play this event, in my opinion of course. However since I always have manufactories and menageries out I'll naturally accumulate Lure Feathers, and likely after my deluxe lures are used up for this event I'll use what remaining lures are left, once milled.

That being said; since all growing fields are used for this event I will dedicate 2 fields (1 baha and 1 main) to XXL trees only, because they are harvest-able at 12 hrs. I just dont see any reason to grow anything longer than that, longer tree grow time wont allow full use of the 24 hr grow cycle to maximize your event harvest lure rewards. You get more harvest lure reward in the long term on a 12 hr grow cycle opposed to growing something for 14 to 16+ hrs. Also you won't need to rely on turbo-mulch to increase your XXL tree reward grow time advantage. 12 hrs grow time of anything gets you where you need to be by the end of the event to play the event game..

Same with crops on 3 remaining fields; any buffs (excluding manure and supergrow because of expense and best used for other event starter crops) you can use to reduce the natural crop grow time of around 14 to 16 hrs would be reduced to 11 to 12 hrs grow time on the remaining fields. So long as you dont exceed 12 hrs of any final crop grow time, with or without any buff... ...and assuming you use 1X1's.. 1X2's and 2X2's are just a waste of your time (this game extorts the power of 1), never use them, ever! I do use greenhouse buffs for certain crops which are related to Artisan's buff ingredients, which helps and makes perfect use of events like this one.

This is how I've played the last fishing events and with easy completion of the events. Harvest and plant every 12 hrs, so kick back and enjoy the leisure time.

 

Is anyone else not receiving drops from trees? I just harvested two fields and got nothing.

The Deluxe lure seems to be the way to go. You get three fish with each catch. Plus you only need Hooks and Metal Disks to mill them. Terrible waste of Feathers though. I'm tempted to replace all of my Stables with trees as I'm woefully short of said Disks. I just hate to cease production of my animals though. (Decisions, decisions... sigh)

 

Do it now while you still have time, a day later and you're SOL.. take the loss on stable food used, you can always mill more. If you have any buffs to speed up your grow time on crops. pop'm. Trees (XXL), use turbo mulch for 2 whole fields worth, if you have enough.. only once though and you'll be caught up.
