Will have a go ...maybe it will be easier then we think

 

We have to admit for pretty new players this definately is one must have Cloud Row. I know I would go all in for it if I had recently gained access to BAHA and/or the Spa, jumping up and down from excitement to be able to gain such a goodie!

I too am at 343 on BAHA and I think I'll go for 140 Minty Mocktails only and take home the 20 PF.

 

Event this kind of event is more ideal for Newer Players. It if they do get Cloud Row, Those Spa Manager 400 Level up Points goes wasted it they not got Spa Manager unlocked as they would need lots of Stars to Unlock the Spa Manager on Tree of Wisdom as Stars are no longer easy obtainable during Events these days.

Now the gripe, I havent a clue what is going on Ive tried to read FAQ's and understand them but NO. Maybe I will start off and see how it goes then give it up as a bad joke.

The CR gives 800 Spa trade points per day .. 200,500 points needed to get to level 5 = done in 251 days without ANY effort to produce ANY product and thus without using ANY barn resource .. DUH .. with this foresight I wouldn't mind to have trade points wasted untill opening the Spa.

I agree it is somewhat unfair towards older payers who had to work hard for it. But strategy wise, pretending to be a new player, I'ld gratefully take it!

Reminds me of when I started playing. The givers and other goodies I won by doing events were so much better as the old ones. To progress and level up in the game was (and still is) way easier for me as it was for players in the old days.

You need a total of 200,500 trade points to reach Level 5

Level 2-1500
Level 3- 9000
Level 4 - 40,000
Level 5 - 150,000

 

I'm thinking seriously to pass this one, which is no easy feat for us EOCD types . My island is a lovely jumble of crops, pens, and many, many trees, and I'm loathe to change it (don't have premium, so can't do the field restore thing). Yes, I could take a picture and save it, then redo it by hand later, but it would take forever and my attention span's not that long . CR holds no real interest, as have been level 5 spa for a long time now, but it would be awesome for those who haven't, worth working for. Think I may do what I can with my fields the way they are, and try for the PF and whatever else I might be able to get, but not worry about completing. Kinda irks me that trees give no drops, makes no sense, but oh well. Good luck to those going for it!

 

That's a lot of points for reaching level 5 ...for something that will probably give another lot of EP .... Like most of the things you make from it... Give EP

 

@phoenixboy12 I'm sure it's easier once we see the event. Usually is. Easier to read the faq too.
I think the tradepoints part of the CR are a perfect fit for almost-new farms. So I need to aim for it.

As for older vs newer player, there are things that are harder and stuff that's easier for both parties. Not everything will fit both. This one might not. It is two different groups with at times very different wants and needs. On my first farm I think I started playing back in 2010 as well, getting to Bahama was a lot easier for me then than now. Worst was it for those poor people having to do flight miles. (those poor poor people striving to gain flight miles, only to have it be changed just after they had finished) I don't think there was a temple we had to unlock for stuff either, so that was easier in "the good old days".

Can't win them all, but BP can make the Spa more tempting to this dog by making it easier to level up, and thus buy recipes

AND ....Have two recipes to buy in the farm supplies
beady eye jelly and gooseberry jam ... don't make enough BB's to buy them ...the movies isn't the most reliable source to make BB'S
My first artisan was the Bakery ...I bought the the confectioners with real money..to be able to make CAC

 

I have really, really looked forward to this Event...now I am sooooooooo disappointed that they have made the requirements so much more!!!! We only have the 2 fields, for crops and animals!! And NO room for trees now, either!
This is summertime - vacation time for half the world....what are we supposed to do??!...Wreck our vacations by having to be glued to a computer screen, taking a fake vacation??!!
And I had already prepared both Baha fields......

Not sure what to think of this game any more - rather than still being a game, maybe it's just become an FOCD compulsion....and maybe it's time to begin breaking the habit.

Thanks so much, 12ss12, but, unfortunately, they won't be optional.

As clonahmon mentioned Resort Flyers are absolutely needed. 35 rewards in 144 hours mean, at the very least, each reward should take, in average, 4 hours instead of 6. Therefore, at least 35*(6-4)=70 Resort Flyers will be needed by anyone wanting to complete the event, which translate into additional 3150 giant bamboos plus 420 shell drops. Actually, to be on the safe side, perhaps 80 or 90 Resort Flyers would be needed. And, of course, milling time should be considered.

EDIT: see zerodegrees' post below; much less than 100+ hours will be available, meaning much more than 80/90 would be needed.

These additions make requirements too high too early in the 6 days window. It's doable but I wonder if it's really worth the effort for me. I guess I'll try, but certainly I won't get mad to complete it if RL prevents me to.

 

Had better get some sleep...got the decorator coming tomorrow to paint the cottage

 

Huge thanks to @12ss12 for working out the numbers and keeping us updated on all the last minute changes.
Seems like inconsistent FAQs and last minute changes are becoming the new normal...

It's even worse than you think because we can't even start collecting those Visitor Reviews until after we finish the first 4 tasks. That means we need to get 660 Floral Garlands and 300 Spotted Shells from just 2 fields, in addition to growing the required event crops, before we can even think about harvesting our first Visitor Review.

Assuming the drop rate is decent, I'm guessing it will take 2-3 days to get the drops, leaving only 3-4 days to get the 35 reviews needed for the final task. 4 days = 96 hours, which is only enough for 16 reviews without using any flyers. So we would need at least 114 Resort Flyers to get the remaining 19 reviews, which is an additional 5130 Giant Bamboos and 684 Spotted Shells.

Of course, these are all just hypothetical numbers but I doubt 70 or even 90 Resort Flyers will be enough to complete the event.

 

You're absolutely right, zerodegrees (I had read the Italian FAQ and, there, it was not explicitly said the Reviews would be only gotten after having completed the first 4 rooms; it does, though, implicitly).

It makes this event absolutely pointless. I'm starting to doubt I'll even bother to start it or try to get beyond the first 4 rooms.

 

New players need to keep in mind that they have to have the island open, as well as unlocking the fields, in order to play. That takes 50 stars to just open the island, plus 60 golden bananas to open the first 4 fields (I think 134 1x1 plots). So, this might not be so easy for newer players

Unless BP is very generous with drops, this won't be easy on any of us. I'll give a chance, maybe at least do the 4 chambers, but I'm not holding my breath on being able to get enough resort flyers to get 35 reviews. I'm agreeing with zerodegrees calculations. This event does not seem to be well thought out -- evidenced by the fact that they have already had to edit the FAQ twice. Perhaps more edits are coming, unless they are planning on a very high drop rate!

 

All I am gonna say is WOW... If the drops isn't good they will have to make them super good just so we can do this event.... Oh I am sorry , SO WE CAN TRY TO DO THIS EVENT before it ENDS.... I don't have the Spa, I would love to have this CR but if I cant then no lost for me... I don't see how everyone can say lost EXP on this CR? Yes if you are like me no spa then yes... But if we are to ever get the spa. we will have a CR to help us level it... Now to those who are level 5... Maybe I missed the topic by BP saying there wont be more levels... That's why I am not in a rush per say on my bakery....But if there is more levels to come on them.. and you have the CR... you now can have more help leveling it.

All I am saying after reading up to here... I am not gonna hold my breathe on this event.... it don't look do able. But will give it a shot. Maybe they have already planned on drops being GREAT..

 

Vital Facts

1) Need to unlock all Four Buildings as soon as possible
2) Need to obtain 35 Visitor Reviews, during remain time of this Event
3) We can start to obtain Visitor Reviews After Every 6 Hours during remain time left of this Event
4) None of us can Logging into this Game, every 6 Hours while this event is running
5) We can use Resort Flyers to Reduce Visitor Reviews by 1 Hour per Resort Flyers
6) On the Assumption we can use 6 x Resort Flyers to Obtain 1 Visitor Review Instantly
7) Once Visitor Review is Acquired. The Clock is reset back to 6 Hours, until more Resort Flyers are donated
Once All Four Buildings are unlocked. We have to make Allowances of Idle Time that we are at times unable to Obtain Visitor Reviews such as busy at work or during the night, while we are asleep in BED!!
9) If we can obtain Visitor Reviews Instantly using 6 Resort Flyers for each Visitor Reviews. We would be needing 210 Resort Flyers that requires additional 9450 Giant Bamboos and 1260 Spotted Shells. Which is NOT Possible to do due
10) If we cannot get Visitor Reviews instantly using Resort Flyers but can get it down from 6 Hours to 1 Hour, we would still be needing 175 Resort Flyers.
11) We have to allow lots of lost Idle Times to Acquire to reap Giant Bamboos which takes 7 Hours to Grow which is needed to Make Resort Flyers
12) We also need lots of Spotted Shells for Resort Flyers too. We do not know what the Drop Rate of these is going to be like during this Event.
13) Again Lost of Idle Time, Prevents us gaining Spotted Shells, which is not going in our Favour
14) Newbies you have to be Level 70 to be able to unlock Spa Manager
15) Cheapest, Quickest way to level up Spa Manager is using Chocolate Shakes, each one gives 180 Spa Manager Points
16) Obtaining Golden Bananas is better alternative than gaining Baha EP to Level up. Each Golden Banana has higher Baha Ep Value, every time you level up Baha compared to amount of Baha EP to obtain 5 Golden Bananas
17) For High Level Baha player 1 Golden Banana is worth over 1 Million Baha EP each at my Level each GB = 2 Million + Baha EP
1 For Many Newbies will not yet have the Rain Forest Unlocked, therefore not much point doing this Event as they would not get very far with this Event. As the Two Event crops does take a fair while to Grow !!

What do I do regarding todays gifts, continue with giving for MM event or wait till Baha event starts which has 2 gifts to give!!!!!!!! Nice on BP. With many folk saying not worth attempting this event may continue with MM gifts. Sorry neighbours but I apologise in advance if I make wrong choice for you unless IGM me to what you prefer. BP have excelled themselves again, do they ever read feedback obviously not
