If your initial harvest doesn't give a great amount of drop items, either sit out or get ready to use lots of SG.

Drop items are the key this time if you fancy the CR.

 

I forgot to plant drop-crop. Planted green tea over night , and bell peppers this morning


I bet this is a SG drainer regardless, and very rigged for buying baskets. I have SG, a healthy number of FC. If I only had a working brain, this could be a no-brainer.

That mistake gave me 45 spotted shells and 23 floral garlands. Wish it was the other way around as we need more Garlands

 

I've already goofed up

I forgot to water the honeydew melons on Baha/Rainforest last night and they won't be ready for a little while. I've got an appointment to go to so I will be getting a late start on an event where timing is critical.

 

Is this event even possible to complete? Oh well, I'll try

 

I got 93 shells but only 6 Floral garlands from my first harvest. I'm giving my neighbours Floral garlands as they seem the hardest to get.

 

Initial Harvest : 90 shells and 57 floral garlands

 

Mixed fields with a bunch of workshops, pens and honeydew, average grow time 15 hrs, provided 75 shells and 27 floral garlands.

 

LOL! Moraine, you had a happy mistake...all those Garlands!! I messed up, too, and planted pineapples for a quick harvest before planting for 'overnight' - and then forgot to harvest/re-plant!!.....got......2 Garlands!! (And 49 shells). Good idea Cassie101 - GARLANDS for all Neighbors and friends!!

With honeydew melons on 1x1s, my farm got 98 shells and 67 garlands. Good luck everyone!!!

 

Wow, that was a food number, did you have a lot of stables out ? I just put out a few pandas and camels with workshops. Hope that helps on the garlands. Oh I do hope it's those that also drop from pens, I forgot to check. Doohhhhh

Wow!!!! I only got 6 garlands

 

Planted Honeydew melons and Chayote

 

I got 80 garlands & 105 shells. I put honeydew melon in comfort field, yesterday, with supergrows, water & manure.

Speed (because you collect Visitors review only after you finish the 4 building & the waiting time is 6 hrs. You can reduce that but still...) & drop rat(e) plays a key role in this game & so is whether you have unlocked rainforest.

Theory (FAQ) is always difficult but once you start doing the event it will be easy to understand.

Don't think they like me very much ...the feeling is mutual

 

I am so reluctant to pull up all my tropical trees. But this farm could really use that cloud row - just at level one for Spa. So next round of planting, all the trees have to go. heavy sigh. Will have to plant long term crops overnight to get better drops. I forgot - no drops from trees. phooey.

 

I'm still very much in doubt if I'll even try to do much on this event. To those who do and will make it: Chapeau!
I do know however I will grow event crops for as long the event lasts. On a single 2x2 field:

Cactus (7hrs) - 97 BEP
Giant Bamboo (7hrs) - 224 BEP

Bell Pepper (6hrs) - 84 BEP
Maroccan Mint (6 hrs) - 192 BEP

Yup, the event crops give over twice as much BEP as regular crops!

 

I think the drop rates are increasing. I am getting good drops from event crops. I now have 152 garlands & 158 shells.

 

WoW...Now I have got 3 spotted shells ...I might get 5 next harvest

Also here is where Baha Menageries & Manufactories come in handy - I have the equivalent of 16 stalls and workshops out on one field...taking up only 4 2x2's, leaving the rest of the field in crops!
