Combo Event..There and Back Again/Icing on The Cake

Thank you for the info. I am actually glad that it only gives EP because I didn't think it was fair because some players don't have 3.
I guess now I will just have to wait to harvest them to find out which one is which because they look alike. I know the Blue one shows a Cake Voucher and the other 2 show the Chef at the table but I received a cake voucher before I placed the blue one on the field.

 

On my first Harvest i managed to get 12 Cake Vouchers, without using my Howie Donuts. Sometimes Howie Donuts does not help you gain more drops it can be quiet random at times.

I got Both Old and New Bakery Shop in one my Fields. The One that gives you a cake voucher, all you need to do just hover your mouse cursor over it as it come up as cake voucher

It Takes a fair while to mill an Cake Boost, If i remember from The Great Bake off they are not needed if you have one or two cakes. But a great help on three cakes. I use what i did before as it a great help.

But it is not easy to aqquire Cake Vouchers using Trees, Stables or Workshops. As there is no Baby Boom at the moment.

But i did try couple of breeding Bears did not get any cake Vouchers, i have an inking Cake Vouchers will be obtain when we put put several Breeding Hotels of Bears

Just done 2nd Harvest of Bears only got 5 Cake Vouchers this time

 

I've just completed my first 12hr harvest (trees etc) in the event time & haven't got a single voucher from the drops...
I thought they quoted 'You will get these drops' - Well, I haven't from either of the three fields mentioned. And I have logged off/on!
Got nothing much to breed either, so looks like I'll have to sit this one out.
Maybe they know I did so well last time

I think BP have forgotten we need vouchers for this event!

 

Agree on the vouchers drop rate. Two fields covered with trees and animal pens and workshops and one ticket all day.

 

Step One: Getting Ready
To do well at this event, I need to get prepared...
Read the FAQs and at Mooboys thread, I stared...
Absorbed about one percent, confused by all the bears
maybe I should have a beer! or get Bare !#! No! I not dare !

Step Two: The Set Up
I have to change my fields, they are all full of crops
Out they go ! Exterminate! they are no good for drops.
Putting out my workshops, that take most of the daaaayy..
trees in the corners - bake vouchers to come my way...

Step Three: Waiting...
Oh, this is my least favourite part, The clock is really slow
but there will be rewards, Cake Vouchers! Yes ! I know!
I should go and paint the house, but the forecast is for snow...
Check my fields, No not yet.. nothing is good to go....

Step Four: Harvest!
Finally, they're ready! I've waited half a week!
but now with click(s) of a mouse, vouchers do I seek !
Ready, set, CLICK! Oh dare I take a peek?
Boldly on I go, no point in being meek!

WHAAAAAT! Nothing! BP! That's Really Mean!
After All my work. Not a cake thing to be Seen!
I kinda thought they would be few and far between,
But Nada?! oh dear, on this I am not keen.

I wanna cake voucher;I shoulda been on the list.
In the Grand scheme of things, somehow I got missed.
It is random, yes, will I, by fate, be Kissed?
But Nothing!?#! Oh Brother! I am really ...... annoyed.

Morning guys,, bad start to the day NO vouchers from 3 full fields. Looks like game guys forgot to switch on voucher drops.

But on the happy side, David you are a star love the poem. Well thought out how do you do it. Thanks for cheering up my poor morning from no vouchers.

I've got 8 vouchers from harvests, tho I suspect at least 1 maybe 2 of them are from the bakery. Not at all surprised, the entire event seemed to be rigged to make us breed a lot, and therefore buy pf. Pretty sure last sale didn't grant the usual revenue, Monkey Queen made sure of that.
So Baby Doom's day it is. Great poem David, as joanc123 said, should be in the feedback thread too

 

OMG so confused, Im so busy at work and now two events at once. Thank you for sorting it out for us Mooboy and everyone for their suggestions. Yikes.... I might have to sit this one out. Too much all at once isn't fun for me, it's just messy.

 

Molly, breed during baby boom. Use the vouchers you get there for the cake event, and just relax. It is what it is, and we do what we can. Don't bother with it all, just focus on the small parts that gives you fun. Small parts may make up to the entire event, but who cares. Fun is all that matters.

And I have so many pigs in the motel.. if they stay there mush longer I'm afraid it will start too look like a pigsty

I agree the drop rate on the fields is near worthless. All in this event is set around breeding, which we'll all do anyways!

I've finished the cake baking progress row. Due to a good amount of Bears in stock and thanks to the Monkey Queen I did so by pre-breeding Bears in batches of 10. Vouchers were given out but very random as some batches provided a mere 1 or 2, others up to 6.
Good thing/make up: the baking gives a bunch of Bears (regular and short faced) and extra PF as prizes.

Even to get to the first Bear CR requires A LOT of breeding and donations that even with BBD starting later on today, I fear 500 PF might not be enough to get to it as skips are quite rare and 99% of those are 1 level skips.

Have given up on this event ... the rewards aren't worth the effort...If i get vouchers for the cake making ..then i will use them ..but that's about all i will be doing
Now i can spend my afternoon in the Kitchen having FUN making strawberry jam and pickling

Games are meant to be FUN ..This event isn't FUN ..it's stressful
Even the the magic trees didn't give bakery coupons ... cannot get anymore tight fisted can they

 

Interesting - this morning's harvest netted 15 vouchers. Not amazing, but better than yesterday. Only difference was an EP bonus won on the wheel this morning and 3 added pens/workshops. Whatever!

Will just do what I feel like doing - I refuse to be pressured anymore by events. Hope everyone gets something nice with the cakes and skips!

The drop rate for vouchers is really awful. Lotsa long-term animal pens out on both farms, but the vouchers are few and far between. So yeah, I'll be happy to get a few once I start breeding.

Completely unimpressed with drop rate this event. 'Harvested' first go-round of BBD, 74 bear breedings netted a whopping 16 vouchers. That's not even a 5% drop rate! Only good thing is that it's more than the one voucher I might get from half a field of bear stables. Skips were... alright, I guess: 17 circus, 5 polar, 2 bearista, and shockingly - 1 dancing! Really, the only good thing about the entire event so far. I'll have to double-check Mooboy's OP, but I think I have almost everything I need for the turn-ins... if I can even bother with the doing the event at all.

 

Reminder!

At the Tree of Wisdom, there's a Cossack Bear for grab (45 stars) as well as a starters breeding pack, 20 bears and some PF (40 stars)

 

For those of you that are not receiving many vouchers, you aren't missing out. I've mainly received EP. Very few bears. I was counting on those to help me get through the other event. Bleh.. I think it's time to find a new game or stop playing events. If I stop playing events, I wont need to spend money.

 

Does anybody have a good strategy for getting cake vouchers?
I have all my fields with stables and trees in the leftover spaces and this morning only got 1 cake voucher!
Please help!
