Combo Event..There and Back Again/Icing on The Cake

Finished with the Combo Both CR's up and running. now just using up the 70 extra vouchers for extra prizes. Writing the 1st letter of each product really helped. Congrats to all who have finished and good luck to all still working on the combo

All done with this event 2nd cloud row up and running. Cake event done. I am just stocking up and growing stuff the crystal falls now.
May keep using extra cake voucher that are left.

 

Cake event done and up to the 1st CR in the Bear event done That's it for me with the bears. I will keep using my cake vouchers for extra prizes I don't understand why some have so many left over when I am lucky to get MAYBE 5 or 6 a DAY But at least I am done

 

Sewinglady's farm is all done with everything and because of additional breedings has 124 sparkly cake vouchers that need used. I don't think I have enough life left to use them up. This farm is struggling a bit with the bears, but I'm done with the cake event. My extra vouchers aren't as plentiful and seem to be giving me mostly more pheromones...when I really need a boatload of bears. But I am close. One last breeding of bears should give me the second cloud row and I'm gonna be so glad to have this one done!

 

I am back home and I have started doing the event. Half way through Cake event & 3/4th through Bear event. Missed the marketing. So sad. Can't say whether will build a pink bear pen. Most probably I won't.

Breeding. That is where the drops were suppose to come from, the stables and trees were just an afterthought imo.

I still got a load of vouchers to spend. and I will spend them all, since I think the rewards has become slightly better after finishing the entire progress bar

 

Am on 240 in the cake event ...did one go to it and have run out of tickets now ...all my fields are full to the brim with trees and stables and they haven't given me ONE voucher

If it had been crops Moraine the drop rate would have probably been the same
They want us to buy to finish ... I wont be doing that ...i've given up.

 

Agree, it would have been better to not let it drop from trees and stables. It would have saved a lot of people a lot of disappointment.

 

My best skip is moon bear. And 3 bearista. Not too bad

Done with 1st cloud row. Am struggling with second. Not enough bear to breed and they're selling for 22k in my market. Would really like that +5% tool drop rate

Is there gonna be a second Baby boom for this event?

 

Both farms have finished both events. I have a few extra vouchers and Sewinglady's farm now has 198 vouchers...ack. will try to get through as many as I can today - busy day in RL - Sundays are 'catch-up' day as the market (the real life one where I sell my wares) just sucks the life out of me.

Things I learned from this event: Pineapple cake is pretty fine when you don't have any crops planted on your mainland fields. You just cannot have 'too many bears'. Skips happen, but have become far more rare than they used to be. (PS: SL got a level 10 bear skip - I just noticed that late last night - not sure when I got it, but whoa!) This farm couldn't get a bear skip no matter how many bears I bred - what a slog!

 

I managed to finish both events yesterday - once again, I am amazed. I decided to sell lots of Bears while the price was high. I sold them by the 100s and made over 25 million CCs. I really thought I would not have enough left to do the There and Back Again event so quickly. I thought I might have to buy some Bears when they were cheaper or breed more even though I would have had enough Mammal Badges but with a bit of tweaking, I virtually finished all necessary breeding within three breeding sessions (with all the buffs, had to wait five minutes each time!).

The cake vouchers just fell out of the breeding hotel and before I knew it I had finished that too. Now just using them as and when to collect any prizes. Of course, after I finished breeding, I won the breeding harvester for six hours - three times! Wasn't tempted. I had just over 100 PF left, have won some and got some from my neighbours who have bought some so I now I have a small stock (192!) ready for the next time. I have some animal feed to mill but then it will be back to PF milling.

On the negative side, I was checking out the FSQs for the Manufactories, etc, to see if I had anywhere near enough animals/breeding animals to finish any and instead of exiting, I pressed deliver! Goodbye to my 126 Short Faced Bears! I knew I would do it - very tired after my third early morning start but what's worse they hardly made a dent to the requirements!

Oh well, easy come, easy go. At least I have a few less to donate when I go back to them!

 

All done here too, have done some extra breeding so have been cashing in with the extra vouchers to get the extra prizes.

 

Well I'm a happy bunny!!! First time finished both events and I forgot that the bear event gave stars for each stage and I have been needing 300 for the trophies runes. After the wedding quest becomes live I will have plenty over the 300 with the first 5. Also sold excess bears and finished magic stalk quest!!!! I was running out of space in the park. All I can say bring on the next event (sorry still very very new to the game and the magic is still magical!!) Thanks for all your advice, reading this forum is invaluable and everyone is so friendly.

im nowhere near finishing got 1st cloud row at least. voucher drops for me are c**p and wont buy powerfeed done what quests that have powerfeed and donated so many bears.
Im sure another event will be along shortly

 

Congratulations smallvillefarm1! Job well done! Please don't be sorry for playing and enjoying the game! So many post here who seem not happy to play but I have been playing for 2yrs and I am still having fun! When I don't I will not be here ruining it for others I will just stop!

I'm loving baking cakes!!! They are giving great rewards!!! I've been getting pf, stars and lots of bears to replenish my stock after BBD!!!
The only drawback.....I wish we could have gifted vouchers to our neighbors & friends.

Would have been good if we could have sent out neighbours drops of vouchers
Considering the drop rate was low
And to be honest 90% of the cakes i got wrong ...but it still got me to the finishing line
