I will finish doing the dolphin constellation in another half an hour and might do 3 or 2 steps in the next constellation.

Illy, I am still using the comic book to get 3 hrs farm machinery for farming. I am doing comic 1 to get the farm machinery. While using it I try to stock up my oats & sorghum in between event crop harvest & next event crop plantation. Remember you asked about comic book 3 for the machinery. I tried it too. But Comic book 3 is somewhat costly. It requires lots of crops & animals.

I agree this strategy thread is very useful. Thanks to all the above posters. I am refreshing my strategies & memories for the drop rates.

 

Cannot buy the machinery .... no movies to make BBs

I took heed of your wise words pnp and did the event on both Cassie and Erridge. Completed on both farms, my first crate on each gave 1 star. I'm hoping for the 50 star crate next.

 

Cassie- Congrats on finishing the event! I'm still plugging away at it and am pleasantly pleased (yes double happy) that my drops are waiting on crops instead of the other way around. Making good progress. Special thanks to those farmers who have helped me process the defining of my farming goals and priorities, listened to my struggles, and offered words of wisdom that helped me develop a plan that works best for me. The new plan forward has reduced a lot of self imposed stress and rediscover the joy of my farm.

 

I just finished the first Constellation and have 4 more milling I am also waiting on crops for a change Think I need about 6500 crop and about 286 drops to finish.

I've got one more telescope to finish the dolphin, then will choose another constellation. Wanted the PF first, will work backwards from there. A little behind on my crops, as RL has been intruding on farm time, but am using a little of my stored Suzee's to catch up on this next bunch, and may use carnations tomorrow as we're planning to be gone for the evening. Congrats Cassie and trishap for finishing! For all the rest of us, keep plugging away, still plenty of time to grow without getting nervous just yet. At least drops from the event crop seem decent enough this time, hope they stay that way. Have a great weekend, everyone!

 

261 more drops to go and I believe one more set of event crops to harvest after the current one which will be done in 15 minutes.

This event is proving to be quite easy. The drops are decent so far with my 29% trophy level. I'm guessing everyone with a similar trophy level is doing just as well.

Let's not forget newer players in the midst of all this as they need the stars more than we do...check the SOS thread for players in need.

 

Congrats to all nearing the end or finished! Had an unexpected slow down today, so I'm only half way to the end. Drops are coming along nicely, so I hope to catch up soon.

One-Two: I have actually used the Comic Book several times now (thanks for the tip! ) and been quite successful, one in two times I hit the machinery prize. But when we have crops that take longer than 3 hours even with water and manure, I would prefer to save what I have (or what I could win) for when I can put it to better use.

Nellie: You might want to try the Comic Book if you run out of harvester functions. It may seem pricey in crops/animals but it can be pretty useful too!

@Arielh Here is the comic FAQ

I use it when I need to rearrange my farm.
It usually takes me 1 or 2 rounds to get the harvester.
Always do First comic

 

Arielh: You are not guaranteed the Harvester, the Mystery Box has a choice of three prizes and if you are lucky, one of them will be the Harvester functions. As said, normally I have received it in 50% of cases but it is, of course, random!

As One-Two said, the third comic takes a lot more crops/animals so you are best to stick with the first Comic (as confirmed also by Escalonilla!).

You soon learn what are the usual requirements so you just keep those items in plentiful supply.

 

Got 4 more telescopes to finish event should be done later today, keep going those who still need more to complete you will do it.

Onto the drops debate. I got more from crop squares than refined roses, will try a longer growing crop tonight on same field and see what I get

I have been growing event Crop constantly and I haven't even finished level one according to the FAQ
I feel like giving up ...have sat here for two days and don't seem to be getting anywhere and people have finished

 

No worry Nellie, I have taped the one oar we have back together again. It should last at least one star figurine.
I'm not finished, and for some reason I seem to lack crop, not drop I don't know what's wrong with the world today, but something is off. But Let's not hit the panic button yet - 64 h left on the counter. Plenty of time to mess up, get it right, lose the plot, go the wrong way and back again. Might even squeeze in a potty break too while we're at it. Plenty of time.

LOL Moraine ...am SO glad we have the Gaffa tape for the oar ..we shall need that by the end of this game to sail off into the sunshine to bahamarama ...Hopefully for a rest
