Matching colours weren't intentional I just ran out of red and blue vet wrap (must order more) and friend had green in her vehicle... Just coincidence ;)
A friend delivered birch today but have to get their tummies used to it slowly as they are mostly on willow at the moment...
Picture is Katya but for some reason she doesn't look happy, mabe it was her hoof trim... but I thought photo was funny.

Ahhhhhh. She looks so cute. I love her fuzzy antlers. The short ones look really furry. Love it.

She is trying to decide whether to have them painted the same color as her accessory (head collar). :music:

Well I don't know what the weather is like for you but here it was wonderful for ducks and the reindeer enjoyed not having the flies around BUT it has tipped it down all day. So not great for photos.
    But here is Boris[IMG]
Jeeves and Tigga and a few extra bottoms!

Watch out Mischa... My new purchase of livestock weighing scales has arrived...
They have mainly been ordered to keep track on year round weights BUT Mischa your weight will be watched closely soon - Chunky Monkey!
I wont' be able to use them yet as I have to build a new handling area in order to move reindeer quietly over scales BUT they are seriously heavy - I thought I'd be able to move scales myself for weighing sessions... I can't so a project for future. BUT I have them. :)

I hope you all your reindeers have the "right" weight! ;)

If Mischa sees you with those scales she will probably race round a paddock in the hope of losing some weight before you get to her! She will be joining a gym next lol!

As to the right weight, I'll only see by continuing monitoring them as they have different builds (much like humans). Katya never carries much weight over her spine (especially when she is feeding a calf, or 3!). Mischa just needs to smell food and she piles on the pounds. Boris as a castrate gains easily and most of the others are somewhere in between but what will help is comparing each ones weights at different times of year. :)
Once again today, I haven't managed to get much done as it has been pelting it down with rain (we need it) and quite cold. We have had to light log burner tonight as it is so chilly. Only dared take my new camera out of it's case for seconds so not great photos..

Love the photos, they are obviously enjoying their picnic in the rain. Mischa must be like me, I only have to smell food and put on pounds as well! I have also had to give in and put the heat on tonight, it hasn't stopped raining all day here.

Wow, great pictures! So you got a new camera? How wonderful. It looks like by the time you get those scales up and running maybe Mischa will have scaled down a little!xD Really, I am with Lilaclady and Mischa, just smell food and gain weight, if I eat salads for lunch every day for a week I still gain a pound...just not fair! lol Enjoy your new scales and camera!;)

I wish we had rain too... only very high temperatures over 35 °C, I feel like melting.
I also loved the last photos:inlove:

Love the photos! :) I sympathize with Mischa; it's far too easy for me to gain weight as well. o_O

Glad you have the new camera! Depending on the model, it may be possible for you to get a camera "raincoat" so you can take photos in wet weather. There are several styles available, from simple cameras up to a professional SLR type, like mine. To give you an idea of how good these raincoats work, I took my camera on the Niagara Falls "Maid of the Mist" boat ride and got close up photos of the Falls. All I had to do was wipe the lens occasionally, the camera stayed perfectly dry.

Storm today had his Big Boy head collar (okay not Big Boy but next size up). Despite being the youngest he is growing very quickly & he will be an easy reindeer. He might not be the "brightest nail in the box" as I removed baby head collar and caught him up within seconds to put his new one on (switched on reindeer babies, only one "struggle" per day as they have got the situation measured)... and don't let on, that he is still, (at times) trying to find Elsa's udder in her neck... Usually only happens in the first few days... Bless him but he's a cutie.
