Reach for the Stars Strategy Thread

As of now I need 115 drops to complete the event All the crops needed are grown and have all 3 fields with long crops....waiting to harvest is the worst partCongrats to those who finished. I must admit I have let my farm sit idle at times during this event but that's how it goes sometimes

 

Looks like it is to me also ..at least i have something to work to now ...was at the point of giving up
And painting this room at the same time which hasn't helped ... last room to be done yipeee

 

Welcome to the forum and congratulation to reach mainland level 60. You can now cultivate a comfort field!

My experience shows me that an event crop is a better drop generator than the basic crops.
Sowed on a ‘large plot of land (2x2)’, the ‘Farsight Flowers’ give 80 experience points (EP) in 6 hours. ‘Crop square’ only gives 76 EP in 12 hours and 42 minutes.

Actually (8 hours remain), the « Happy Harvest Day » double the EP of crops (but I do not belief that this double the drop chance too).
On the other hand, I know, that Comfort Fields (swift meadows) needs three seeds, quadruple the growing time, triple the harvest and again, double the EP (with a higher drop chance). Sometimes, I use Comfort Fields to prepare the start drop session of an upcoming event.

Except for a very brief use of 1X1's on day 2, I used Comfort Fields for the entire Event due to a very late start. Used them with CAC, water, manure, SG, SSG, WI, and FC, which reduced the harvest time to 4hrs. and 20 min. Most of my SG & SSG's came from Quests, which I had stocked up on just before the Event.
Have over 6,000 event crops left, with event crops still left in 3 fields. Cloud row up and running, and also got just the one star from the Crate o' Stars.
Loved the graphics in this event!!
Usually I have to struggle to finish events...so hopefully this may help to encourage all who have yet to finish!

I just finished and CR is up and running 193 crops left and 19 drops at the moment. Good luck to those still working it....lots of time left so try not to stress

 

Have now got a row that has 3 giving stars in each plus as a reward on each ...the last one has 5 bananas ...this isnt even in the FAQ

So havent got a clue what row I am on

Nellie I love your posts. On each constelation count how many bright points you have then you know what you have left to do, you need 5 on each. I would imagine you are nearly finished. Just keep going you will do it.

Also to others still waiting there is still over 2 days left you can do it. Those that have finished well done I hope you got more stars on your1st crate than I did

I have a long way to finish...maybe I won't finish at all. I had a good start and then I could harvest and plant frequently but yesterday I only harvested once. I am milling to complete the dolphin constellation. What should I aim for next?

 

Nellie, if you finish the Dolphin first - the one on the far right - you will get the cloud row. That way, if you don't finish the rest, you still have a chance in the future to get some of the givers @ G&T. (But it will be rare, as there is only one each to be won...so try your b-e-s-t!)
It is a pretty good CR...it gives 30,000 each EP & TEP + a chance to win far more than one star...from 1 star up to 50, as it varies each time.(See FAQ)
If you are short on crops, the crate that you can buy for 2BB's ea. in the Shop will give you some, and buying a few together usually gives drops too.
You can also switch to Comfort Fields to increase crops/drops, but would need to use water, manure, SG, at the least, to get good results, and use the WI & FC buffs. (SG & SSG sales run out in 8 hrs. from now.) Quests also give SG & SSG's.

Arielh, you are pretty far behind, so I'd try the Comfort Field approach detailed in my post above. It allowed me to catch up from losing almost a day, to already finishing. (This almost never happens to me - finishing early!!)
I went from Dolphin #4, to #2, then #3, and lastly #1....because of the rewards offered. You can choose your path by the rewards chart in the event FAQS.
With 48 hrs. left (from now), you both CAN do it!! We are cheering for you!!! Wooooo Hooooo!!!!!

Thanks so much for posting this information! I'm so excited about it and will have to try it. I usually buy the subscription, but so much of the machine time is wasted when I am working or sleeping! But I never had enough coupons to do without it! I can't do without the machinery because my hands cramp up from too much clicking without it. Thank you again!

 

Next harvest of carnations and i'll have enough drops to complete this event

Then it'll be tons of catching up on my farm seeing the next grow and throw event is labyrinth on 24th August

 

The drops are not a problem in this event ...but the crops for milling is ... 650 to make one telescope and the time it takes to mill ONE IS ridiculous
It doesnt seem to be a FREE game anymore ...Cannot make BBs because there are no movies .. the ones in the FS are one off ..so cannot buy the machinery or crates O grazing... Another source to make BB's would be good

I'm done Did the comfy SG, but I didn't need it at all. Should have just skipped that and saved my SG But what's been done is done and what's been eaten has been eaten (poor translation of a quote) Now I'm growing radishes for the rest of the cac time, and then it's time to pull out a few stables again.
