Feedback Mini Events: August 2017

Howdy Farmers,

Please post your constructive comments, positive and negative, regarding the mini events going on in August 2017, in this Feedback thread.

Please be sure to bring arguments for supporting your statements, simple comments saying you like it or hate it will not help the Team understand what goes great, and what needs to be looked into, when planning future mini events.

Every time one of those 24 hr sales runs my computer drags really bad Referring to the "Busy Builder", "E Z Breeding(?)", etc.

 

The Rezo event came at the same time as the Moonlight madness. I'd prefer the mini event be between events or during breeding events which are not time consuming harvesting.

 

Some mini events require much time like events so I would prefer if Renzo's event wasn't the same time as other events.

 

Baby boom is yet again a huge disappointment; skips are rare, the rune seems to have little impact on the number of animals you get back any more and I find myself breeding less. The market has virtually no last level animals listed proving they are impossible and expensive to get to. Lets switch back to when you were generous and I actually wanted to breed loads.

 

Get Ready to Recycle has been very good for me. I started the event with a little over 100 Farm Coins and not much hope of getting anywhere near 400 for one plot on Crystal Falls, let alone another 600 for the other plot BUT ... yippee! I got enough to buy both. I was using the XL all but one time and got 90 Farm Coins most times (after I got the 150 Farm Coins on about my second or third go). I am a happy farmer!

I have one complaint which I mentioned last time. Why does the amount to donate have a default of 3,000,000?

In previous recyclomat events, I didn't realise I didn't need to donate the lot until I had already done it at least once!

I was wiser this time (well almost, apart from one lapse in concentration when I hit the tick, just before my brain kicked in, and donated 3,000,000 worth of Parrot Feathers). At that point, there were only a couple of days left and I thought I would never get enough batteries to use all this credit but I must have done, cos I used it up this morning.

I was lucky that I had enough Parrot Feathers and didn't empty my stock completely and I was also lucky that I got the batteries needed - may have had something to do with having longish animal pens out due to working this weekend - but if I was a lower level farmer with not many Parrot Feathers and little chance to get enough batteries to use them, I would have been very disappointed.

Please reconsider this the next time this event takes place. There is no reason to have to donate that much in one go. It is better to have the lower amount and change it to the larger amount than the way it works at the moment.

 

Get Ready to Recycle is a bit boring with only farm coins as a prize. It makes this game more about the exchange rate of too many different curriencies !! (and about reward for effort!) And rather than the 150 disappearing after one hit, how about the 24 disappearing ! Getting two of them in a row for 90 batteries is just plain mean!

I would like to give credit for all the work going in to give us lots of events. I like the fact that I can choose to do or not to do certain features, and there is plenty of choice. Some players feel compelled to do everything and begrudge this fact. I like having plenty to do! (or to say 'no' if I want.)

 

I liked that recycling gave coins. I'm sure we are going to need a lot of these in the not too distant future.
A lot of people think they have to donate 3,000,000 to the Recyclomat.

I agree with illy1996 "It is better to have the lower amount and change it to the larger amount than the way it works at the moment"

 

Why couldn't we donate tree fruit? I didn't like that about the Recyclomat.
I liked that we could win farm coins only because this is a way better way than breeding. It is not right to use PF just to get farm coins.
But I think farm coins is a bad introduction to this game. We have stars and golden bananas and Country coins and Barnyard bills, weren't these enough?

 

Concerning the Recylomat; if the 'Special' items are one time only then take them off. no need to show us the they're sold out and can't purchase, put something else in it's place for petes sake. Another peeve is the pick a tool...after 5 bb's for a hammer the novelty wore off. it's like hitting a bullseye with a 5kg hammer and getting a plastic whistle. please don't do this anymore, it's not nice.

 

Trans-Disappointment

There are 8 new trees to obtain. None of the trees are particularly special. No jumbo types, no product types, just run of the mill rare trees which have very little extended value EXCEPT for the fact that there are 8 of them, making it very hard to get any of them, let alone all of them. To make matters worse, players cannot get rid of their unwanted Baha trees, thus effectively cutting a players attempts at getting one of these new trees in half, or more, depending on if a player favors Baha trees vs. Mainland trees during Wonder Tree events.

The expected seedling point values for trade in are too high. Players should be able to obtain the minimum level of seedling by spending their CCs. You really want this to reduce the current trend of mudflation (you're probably going to have to google that), but it's clear your staff have no clue as to how mudflation can negatively impact game economies. Mudflation has been a severe issue since I started my farm, and it doesn't appear there have been any attempts to curb it. Unfortunately, the maximum value a player can reach by spending CC's is 480. This does nothing to curb mudflation and also greatly reduces the number of farmers who can participate. This will ultimately exacerbate the supply of these new trees causing even more issues with the in-game economy. Lack of participation and increased scarcity of the rare trees are both going to contribute to unsatisfied players. Unsatisfied players become unsatisfied customers and unsatisfied customers take their money elsewhere.

Finally, the poorly thought out concept of being able to trade in 4x the small value for the distinction of "best chance". Why is this not clearly defined? Are the odds 4x more, or higher? Is it only 2x more? Your players should know exactly what they're buying.

I get that you're a company trying to increase the bottom line. That fact hasn't escaped anyone. What I don't get is how shallow these ideas and concepts are thought out and implemented. It's very clear to most players that the two hardest working employee types you have at your company are your Graphic Designers/Artists and your programmers. The rest of the team is hurting the development and longevity of the game by showing it has no understanding of how to create revenue while meeting the players wants. When you consistently ignore good player interaction you lose profit.

 

It is very disappointing not able to off load unwanted Baha Trees on Farm Express Train as you can win New Main Land Farm Trees and New Baha Trees. It does seem very unfair indeed.

I Totally agree with Degree is has been some considerable time since we had new Product Tree or able to win Jumbo Trees. I will do donate my Jumbo Trees are are far to valuable as you cannot win or Trade any Jumbo Trees by any means, not win any via Quest, Farmerama Wheel etc...

The Trade Value of Farm Express is much higher than the Last Tree Express which was more reasonable. I do not think i get very farm to have good chance to win These New Trees. As Trying to win 8 New Trees is a massive ask for induction in one go.

I seem to be mislead than i thought you would introduce some new Baha Trees by Freeing up my Stock of Golden Bananas by unlocking couple new Temple Runes or unlocking a New Chamber instead ?

Trans-Seedlantic Express used to be my favourite event, but I wont be participating in this months version. The only way to make the value of even the lowest value seedling is with either XXL or "rare" trees, neither of which can be obtained with CCs.
It's very disappointing that not even the cheapest seedling can be obtained for CCs.

You have turned what used to be a good fun and good value event into a great big FAIL.

So for the next one, please at least give us the option of getting the cheap seedling with trees buyable for CCs.

 

I have got to say about the Recylomat event. It was good idea that we get to earn farm coins. But I DID not like the fact i had no clue how much more to give it.... I also feel that it cheated me out of coins because of this.... i had that thing loaded to a point i should've got the max coins. Guess what?? I didn't... the only max number we had for that event was the fact the most we could give at a time was 3 million... What it didn't tell us was what was the max we could give at each level for a certain coin. And yes I even did the hover trick.... nothing there that would've told us how much left.

So can you please give our MODS the info they need to inform us on these things... They do work hard. They are here to help us and you for that matter... without them this game can be in the dust.... I mean you made the game... you do these events... you know then what we need. they do their best to let us know ahead of time... its up to you, BP to give them the info that was programmed into the game for these events. Oh and if you need more time to let them know. Hey that is a easy fix. Don't do the event at such a time everyone is rushing to get info out....please tell our MODS so they can let us players know... I don't think that is a lot to ask... thank you for not reading this

 

Thank you Decree! Your well thought out post states my comments exactly. I've stopped almost all my real money spending on this game as it gets costlier and more complicated to play. Keep it up, this "game" is becoming too much like "work" to make it worthwhile.

 

Seedlantic Express is starting to prove disappointing. Getting rid of higher valued trees to on the highest level to get a XXL Olive Tree and XXL Kumquat Tree?? Don't see the point if all we get back is far less in return. Very disappointing. We should at least be shown some odds on what we could possibly get. No use in trying to buy new trees with the wonder trees as those results are also similarly disappointing

 

Someone told me they got new trees in train event by doing medium level. i am going to try it. only getting xxl trees from gold.

 

Recyclomat - hate it. Can't donate tree fruit and only getting coins is just nowhere near as fun as it used to be.
Trans express - great to get rid of all the useless xl special trees I have acquired. But if I can win Baha trees why can't I trade in my unwanted ones; it makes no sense. My baby farm doesn't spend rl money and after 3 tries exhausted the excess xl specials from free seedlings. Now it can't participate as it can't get the lowest value needed by purchasing tees for cc's; such a shame. I also think you should bring back the jumbo trees.

 

I don't do the Recylomat - too much to give & not enough to get back. As for the Trans Express - If I am going to spend money buying trees then I want the tree I want. Not going to put anymore money into it. So far got pretty much nothing that I wanted. To get all the new trees would be very costly & you still may not get them. I agree with Decree.

 

Have not done the train event this time ...I had enough of getting yellow stables back in the last train event ...I put in more then I got back from it
Don't like being cheated...I will keep what I have worked hard to get over the years
If Farmerama wants my trees ...then they will have to give something a lot better
then what they are giving out now ...I don't want old trees that i have dozens of ...I want to be excited at getting new trees...which I think we all deserve

Have said many times ....Without players there is NO game
We could all leave tomorrow from being sick and tired of getting the same OLD rubbish every time ...now and then to get something new would be NICE and keep the game interesting
