Our forum is now 3 years old!

Happy birthday to all this amazing community!
I can't believe it's been 3 years since this forum started! I am proud to be a part of this community, everyone, players and mods, are so kind and friendly
We are not the same players as we were 3 years ago but this is what keeps this forum alive, new players come and everyone welcomes them and they choose to stay because this forum is a friendly environment and fun so we make a great company to each other

Let's celebrate, shall we?
I also want to share my good news with you, yesterday I found out that I passed to University!!! I am so happy!

3 years already??? Where has the time gone? I think farm years must make RL years fly by, as it just doesn't seem possible. Glad to have been a part of such a wonderful community.

 

Double celebrations here. Congratulations Ariel - you have worked hard to get to this point in your life.

Forum - is it really 3 years? At first we so missed the old forum but this one is going from strength to strength. Lots of new players although I do miss our old friends too.

 

Yes I miss the old friends too.... Some of yall was here when I was here before. we just may not knew each other back then... plus with me being gone for a few years then popping in and out of forum didn't help much...I did read as much posts as I could in the LAST POST thread. We had a crazy number game too... but dont know why its gone as well. maybe people wanted it closed as people keep messing up the numbers...lol It was fun as well as we chatted there too... Old times wow.... miss them so much..

This might be a new site for the forum.... but to me, its all the same.... maybe i am different, or don't understand why this forum is so new compared to the other one. We was supposed to be able to chat to people here in like a chat room , wasn't we? but I see we still cant do that...pretty much what I am saying is, this is to me like the old forum... I don't see anything different...

Grats Arielh sorry wish i knew more on these funny faces then : ) put together..

Jazac there were some differences between this forum and the old one. But apart from appearance and use, new players came to the new forum and some old players may didn't. New threads were created and some others were forbidden(such as games). But the most important,in my opinion, for players who left the old forum was that they had many memories from all their time there and it was hard to leave it.
I hadn't post in the old EN forum but I also had to leave a forum and start new memories in this one. I had to leave the Greek forum that I was writing from 2010 to 2014.
26 of August 2010 I started this game so I play 7 years!

In 2 weeks I am leaving. I am going to miss my home, I have been living in this island for all my life. Will I be able to live in a city?
I am kind of scared this is going to be a big change for me
I am going to study European and International studies and I am very excited about it but I don't feel ready to leave my home yet...

 

Arielh will you be living in university provided housing (ie: dorms or apartments)? Even in a big cities universities often operate as small cities by themselves, giving you a chance to adapt & become more comfortable without having to worry about city life. Most universities have a few days to a week or more for new student orientation, take advantage of all the services offered and you will find your sea legs & new friends very soon.
If you're going to have a roommate(s) has the university given you their contact information? Don't be shy & contact them asap. Find out if they have brothers or sisters, what they will be studying, etc. It's scary & exciting at the same time, but you will excel at this challenge I am sure. Good luck & best wishes always!

 

What an exciting time for you, Ariel! And scary, too. It's difficult leaving home for the first time, going off somewhere new with new people in an unfamiliar setting. I know when I first went to college, I called home often, because I missed my mom and sister so much. But it doesn't take long before you start to settle in and, as dafodily said, make new friends. Enjoy this time in your life, it will only happen once, and it's a stepping stone between youth and adulthood, giving you the opportunity to experience some independence while still offering structure. I personally found that I enjoyed joining some of the campus groups, in my case community service oriented, that are usually offered at colleges, it's a great way to meet people with similar interests and make new friends. Maybe your university will have clubs that you are interested in? You are such a fun, caring individual, I think you'll have no problems gaining new friends. And you're so dedicated and hard working, I believe you'll excel in your studies as well. As for living in a city, well, I'm a small town girl at heart, and will always prefer small towns, but I think you'll do fine. And you'll always have us here to support you!

In Greece there are no universities providing housing. We have to find on our own where we will be staying. At first I will be staying with my relatives and then I will live alone. Fortunately I have relatives in that city so this is very encouraging but I don't have any friends at my age yet. I will check if there is student orientation and any other services. Thank you for your kind words SpotsI have checked the groups that the university has, I have found some that I liked. I will apply in some sports groups and maybe a the theater group. I am not sure what will work to join it but yes I thought in these groups I can find students sharing common interests. Actually my mother told me to check.
