Cloud Rows... :(

Well, I bit the bullet, and purchased my 3 hungry bats at the market (selling at the market for around 430k each for ages now - no deals to be had). Opened up my much anticipated magic stalk and .... deflated.

For some reason, I was under the impression that if you won a cloud row, you won the cloud row with everything you needed on that row. I realize now that I also had to win each piece that goes on that row (seems obvious, but when you don't have it open, you don't really know how it all works).

So, previously in the Back to the Past event, I worked hard to finish that center building to obtain the cloud row so I would have it later (even confirmed with a mod it would be waiting for me). I'm not at a level where I can finish entire events, so didn't complete all the buildings. But I only have one piece of the three needed, so it's useless (lonely monkey boom boom is back in the deco park).

Guess I could have waited until I was further along to spend my ccs - at a time when I can actually finish an event. Ah well, at least it's open. But I don't see how it's much use to me at this point (I still have plenty of room in the park). There's one row there that says I can open for 750k ccs (no idea if it includes the individual pieces). No thank you -- I just spent more than half my hard earned ccs on hungry bats. lol

On a good note: I no longer have to spend months trying to pay Jack in moonlight crops. At least not until I need bat breeding for something different...

 

Don't feel bad Jazzy I too didn't know how it all worked till I opened mine...had very few waiting for me... Got a few with missing items.. which I may never ever be able to get ... unless they offer for bb's. But their idea of a rare CR may mean it is taking room up we need there... I hate seeing things I cant use... it is making me hate the game... I want them CR's I cant ever use GONE. away from my sight.. PERIOD..

I do my best to read alot in the forum.. and when i see others making mistakes. I try to learn from them... But times show I too make some of the mistakes that I read.... hey we are human right? Least I think we are...lol I also paid for some bats to get my CR up and going... May not seem like it was worth it now... But hang in there... Don't give up events... even if you try 100 events and get a few CR's out of them till you are a higher level like least 60 to 65... to be able to start collecting almost all CR's from events... some will be better then not trying.

I too felt somewhat let down by my opening of my CR. But if i could turn back time... I wouldn't have waited.. in fact even though i may not had much , I would've opened it sooner so I wouldn't have to worry about doing that step... its done, out the way.. least on this toon....lol I can put all my extra efforts on events now.... or and collecting things for all my FSQ's that never seems to end....lol Much less me putting a dent in them. I think I have....

Jacks Shop.... umm lol well , it looks like i just started Moonlight.... barely have anything. crops and items... I cant wait for more land there or/and more time to grow crops.... its taking forever.. I don't mind waiting and working for things... But goodness sake... I would like to be able to get there before I die...

Oh, dear, Jazac -- I'm at level 73 and I'm still not able to come close to finishing events. Hopefully, I'll do better on events in the near future.

There are 5 cloud rows you can open on the Tree of Wisdom (IF you have enough stars to spare) I seem to remember they take any item of the correct size.

 

Spare stars? What are those? lol.

There's always a chance to get those missing givers through trade in the trade & give event.

 

But don't people need them for their own cloud row? Or are there times when you can get another item (think you guys call them givers - is that right?) I have seen people talk about getting them at G&Ts, so I'm curious.

Do people ever end up with a duplicate?

 

Some events gave duplicates & there are players willing to trade or gift for many reasons so don't give up hope you might be able to fill that cloud row, it may just take awhile.

The cloud rows that you open with stars seem like a low need right now (first 3 are for sugar, salt & floral wire, but last 2 are for brown pig & albino bat) but you will want/need these CR's as soon as you can, they will help you a lot in the long term.

Edit: If you don't want to buy 1x1 or 1x2 items to put on the cloud row, ask your neighbors to gift you Wilson, No Treespassing etc.

You made the right decision to open the clouds. Cloud rows offer good rewards and it better to place the items there than in your park. Don't worry if you have empty rows we all do.

I admire all new players who start the game and have to keep up with everything, I don't know if I could play Farmerama if I had started it a year ago. When I started playing there was only the main field and the green meadow! Gradually the Park was introduced, the Magical Glade and stars, trades, Bahamarama and so on...
So at the first years it was so hard to level up but at least it was a more relaxed game.

There is certainly a lot to learn and do to progress. I almost wish I was with you back then when there wasn't so much to catch up on and achieve.

Question: What type of givers do people put on the very basic cloud rows? The limited small givers I have in my park would give me more individually than if put them on the row (basic magic row 1, etc). Can you put the givers that people gift from the free gift page -- the ones that only give limited EP/coins before they run out -- or will they run out on the row as well?

I'm just not sure what to place on those basic rows. It seems I'd get more leaving them where they are in the park. I've searched for more info, but can't find anything specific related to my question.

 

For those open clouds I put a cheering fan on the 1x1 clouds, can be bought from the shop for 1000CC, for those 2x2 I buy a small volcano in the same shop for 2500, for those tricky 2x1 I use what can be placed. Some can be placed others can't. Best way to figure it out - try

I don't know what you are saving your stars for, but I really like those brown pig and albino bat. I haven't opened bat breeding yet, but I know when I do those albinos will make me a flying start Just thinking of all the PF I will be saving makes those stars worth it. Not sure I would chose those cloud rows over the trophy rune on the top tho. After bahama that was the rune I was going for, and I haven't regretted it since. But that is an entirely different discussion.

ETA: oo - those 1 x 2s are pricey. Think I'll wait for a sale on those...or a 1x2 to show up in the freebies. The No Treespassing seems to be gone (or do I just not see it at my level?)

It's a 1x1, but that's okay -- need to fill those too.

The cloud row, however, is not allowing it (inventory is blank). Did they change it so you can't use those givers anymore?

 

@jazzy22, If you click on the cloud, it should take you to what fits it, in your inventory.

 

I used to use the water tanks for the cloud rows because they are the cheapest and the Cheering Fans for the Park and Shipwreck Bay to help level up.

It was also easy to add new items to the Park and Shipwreck Bay because all you had to do was look for Cheering Fans to know which ones to delete.

 

Yup, did that. Won't go on 1x1 or 1x2 or any. Just gives me an empty inventory box. I'll try again in a bit. Maybe it doesn't want it right now. lol Either that or that particular cloud doesn't take them????

ETA: Cloud rows won't accept Hi-bear-nation (make a note). I bought a water tower to test it (nice tip, nm), and it accepted the water tower just fine -- but won't take the hi-bear-nation. Well, poo.

 

Not to mention people giving up game may give away their givers as it will do no one any good if not.... plus you also get some who has way more CR's then they wished for, and will be willing to part with some.... so see there is ways we can get them... but only if they BP will let us give them..... most of the items I need now for my CR's is the ones thats not giftable.. Nor do they have it anywhere in the game for sale.... like scarecrows.... 2 of the ones i need went away when i came back... i was only able to get the 3 that was still in the game...

I also agree with getting the bat and pig CR's and. whatever trade you picked... I must say you might want to grab that too before you grab the last 2 trade CR's...But only if you run out of supplies... otherwise you may want to wait on that till ya open other things.... then come back... its always good idea to check barn for the count... it just depends on how much you feel the importance is to your game play.... that's how i treat my tree....but without stars.... the importance changes if you don't have alot opened.... so always know what the tree can do for you and watch your stars and you will do fine...

Yes clicking on the opened slot on the CR will open a box of items that will fit in that spot.... if you no items that will go there then box will be empty..if you know you have the right size in inventory then i would check another CR. Please note that some items no matter how many CR's you check... some items wont go... I seen a post/thread about that not long ago... if i find it i will try to post it here if i remember. I think that's why they removed no trespassing as I was trying to collect them before they took them away....The comics gives 1x2..but i cant remember if we can place that or not... I will work on that soon as i find out what the item is as should have it in inventory or on the CR somewhere.

Arielh yes game has changed since then...im with you on the starting fresh thing.(i don't know maybe when i am bored, i may do one and have it be a timed toon)... but i had like 2 other accounts that was ok in level , had some items cause think both was already over 58 so yes.... coins...lol was like zero.... prices today compared to back then... is way up there.... didnt take me long to make a few thousand coins.....lol
