HI All,

Just wondering...I have all buffs and everything...but my drops are really low...I went through 2 rounds of planting those grey roses and still dont have enough. Yes I have out the pens and WS.

Anyone have a secret to their success?

1x1 plots and skip the pens, do long time refined crops overnight. I usually finish all events 1 day ahead of deadline. That's without timing harvests.

Not sure crossing your fingers actually helps, but I do that too sometimes.

 

I am nowhere near certain that I will get enough drops, currently I am 615 short, but I am quietly confident - and noisily panicking!

I would agree with 1x1s and long overnight crop. I always try to leave one field (the Glade) with all the things I need/like/give good drops so, for this event, I planned on planting the event crop in the main field and Meadow. I constantly double check that I am going to have enough crops - I doubt my mathematical ability lol!

I also do the same on Baha - I now leave all the stuff that I am working on in Crystal Falls. This saves me having to remember what I had out. So I am always working with two (or on a good event four!) fields for event crops. I used to try to get the event plants done as quickly as possible (ie, planting at night!) and then do longer crops but I find I have more success with doing longer growing crops overnight from the start. That way, there isn't (normally!) a last minute panic to get the final drops required.

And, of course, I cross my fingers, while licking them and sticking in the air to see which way the wind is blowing.

 

Illy, I don't think you will have a problem getting those drops if you are using 1x1's. I planted leeks last night and got 385 (not that you have to plant those) But as of this posting there is a little over 40 hrs so you shouldn't have a problem

 

I think you are right, Julie. I am sure I will have no problem ... I know there are others that are struggling though.

 

I needed 600 drops this morning before the 'BIG' harvest and really worried, but now just need only 50, so there is hope!

 

Ditto DBAYES!! I needed 500 this morning.....but tonight.......... I finished!!!! Yippie!!!

I still need 600 -- we'll see what happens tomorrow. 88 is my highest I've had on a field (using Iris overnight). Never got the hundreds others talk about. Even if I get 70 to 80 with each of my 3 fields of 1x1s, that's less than half of what I need. Get dribbles during the day. We'll see what tomorrow brings.
