Maybe they are hoping you will give them some wooly hats and gloves to put on to keep them warm lol!

And don't forget the "legwarmers" too!xD I bet where they are naturally from it is a lot colder too, not
to mention that food would not be as plentiful either!

The spirit of Christmas, I have never felt it so deeply as today... It's long and complicated tale but it happened today (and sharing I have tears in eyes and a glow for humanity) so I am just copying and pasting, rather then retyping what I posted on my own FB page.
This is not some random post I am sharing but happened to me today.. xx

I would love anyone in Kettering area to Share and look kindly on this lovely homeless man..
A surreal event happened to me this afternoon while I was standing beside my trailer, outside St Andrew's School, waiting to unload reindeer, once children had gone in from break..
A homeless man came up to me and asked if I had dogs (he had a very healthy happy dog on lead). I said yes as I thought he was asking why his dog was interested in me. He reached into his bag and produced 6 cans of dog food, dog biscuits and treats, saying he had more than enough for his dog for the next couple of days, that they were too heavy to carry & when he leaves dog food where he sleeps, it gets stolen, so he would prefer to give them away!!!
I was wary for a while but he was absolutely genuine, he wasn't trying to sell it, in fact he was walking away before I called him back and said in all conscious I could not accept a gift from someone less fortunate and handed him a £20 note - he gave me the biggest hug, with tears in his eyes.
Sandy who was with me said she has seen him regularly in Lidl/Jolleys car park.
In the top of his bag I saw a brand new dog toy too and I'm hoping no-one steals that.
Lovely man, if you see him, don't ignore him, he has a heart of gold. I don't know his name and have no picture, other than of what he gave to my dogs but once "silly season" over I will be looking for him.

Wow Karen, I have always found that you can't judge a book or human by it's cover! If what you experienced today isn't the true meaning of Christmas, I don't know what is! I truly hope that man finds peace and joy and safety, long past this holiday season. Christmas blessings to you and that kind and generous man!:inlove:;)

Boris impounded by local constabulary due to unauthorised landing in a built up area. [IMG];)
Don't worry, we're planning on breaking him out before his appearance tomorrow at Delapre Abbey - he doesn't like prison rations!

Great photo, the long arm of the law finally caught up with him! Bet he doesn't let Santa deliver presents to those two officers!

Oh Wow BLZ, so excited, didn't know you were close enough to visit them - let Elaine know that you know me and I hope she has time to give you extra cuddles with my babies... Will you share a picture with me?... :) OHH so happy. :)

Sorry lack of updates as it's been manic here.. Mischa and Lotte are definitely not in calf :( so I doubt the rest... My castrate Boris was making Whooohoo with Lotte yesterday when she came back into season! Poor Frodo was too challenged in his own health BUT he's still with us, skinny but alert...
In the meantime... Merry Christmas if I don't have time to update before.

Great picture!:inlove: Merry Christmas to you and yours, and to all the smart Famerama farmers who
have found this wonderful thread! I am also hoping 2018 will be a much kinder, gentler year for you and your herd, and for everyone around the world! Hoping for lots of Peace and Love!:inlove:

Am so disappointed. My friend who was driving me up to see Storm and Freddie had a family emergency and the trip fell through. As yathanbank is only open for December 1st to 24th, it means it won't happen this year :( So sad as I was really looking forward to seeing them for real instead of just through photographs.

Karen, it's not that they are exactly close by, but they are within travel distance but a round trip is around 8 hours. It does mean that if we can't start early in the morning, we wouldn't get there before they closed

Oh BLZ... that's some commitment from a follower! I am sorry it didn't work out for you to say hello to my babies elsewhere...
Delivery from me is 11 1/2 hours (with a trailer) but it's a daunting journey... Thanks for trying...
We'll all enjoy the photo posts Elaine shares with us!
No photo but Elaine let me know that in her very busy season Storm has really come out of himself and now playing to crowd... Freddy, we all know has been super cuddly for ages but he has had to be removed to back paddocks as he was getting a little too playful. It's a tricky one with teenage boys - they can become too friendly. :)

It is nice that Storm and Freddy are doing so well for Elaine! It sounds like Freddy is like, dare I say,
Hector:inlove: who if I remember correctly also got very playful with you at times!;) She will have her hands full for sure!

It was a gamble hoping you could not only keep Frodo alive but maybe get your ladies bred. You've done well and there wasn't another alternative for breeding. Here is hoping 2018 is a better year for us all!

Almost back to normal... We have had snow, but now melted and grass doesn't seem to have suffered. I'm starting to replace Christmas red head collars with everyday ones. Keeping fingers crossed for Gandalf about the 10th but that depends on another "clear" TB test for my friends cattle (first week of January).

In laws here still but gone tomorrow, then I have to hit the books as Tax Return due in January....

Frodo I have decided not to remove his antlers as even though he hasn't dropped them, he isn't the slightest bit "rutty" so I am mingling with him with no problem. He's still just with Elsa as I am thinking of giving Boris another shot of testosterone to try to get him to shed his antlers and that may make him a little too "playful" for Frodo... Still unsure yet - I would have jabbed Boris a couple of weeks ago but his coat hasn't been dry with snow/rain... Reindeer are prone to abscesses, so can't risk jabs on wet coats.

Tax returns... yuck! What a lousy way to start the New Year! Fingers crossed here for the dashing Gandalf!! :)
