"Stocking Stuffing" Christmas Preparation Event Strategy

I usually skip events where there is a crop requirement (I don't like ripping up my fields) but decided to give this one a go. I'm only using Green Meadow for crops on the main fields and Baha plus the new field (Crystal falls? can't remember the name) which is only opened half way. Rainforest has my stables on so I'm leaving them there.

Thus far I have 807 drops, almost enough for 6 presents and I'm fairly certain I'll get enough for the CR but probably not enough for all 16 presents - which is fine with me

My spare farm I decided to rip up (usually only have trees there, nothing else) since I have enough harvest helper coupons stored up for this event (I only buy a harvester for my trees, not the whole helper). The drops there are quite slow, since I'm still only doing the event crops until I have enough, then I'll plant longer crops. I'm not really aiming for anything there as I don't have CR unlocked and usually just keep the event givers so that I can gift them out during a G&T.

Just finished with gift # 7 How is it you can gift each animal 4 presents? Mine are done after 3...what am I missing?? I need about 555 drops I haven't used my Flower reduction CR so I'm going to put out a wave of chickens, parrots and cuckoos to get poo built back up to knock some more time off the flowers. May you all continue getting those boxes (my cat loves his) Who needs to buy cat toys? He finds his own whether I like it or not!!

 

Finished with gifting 3 animals with 9 gifts. Rudolf Reindeer is eagerly waiting to receive 3 gifts and give a return gift of CR...
Need only 340 drops to complete the Event which is hopefully possible by tomorrow as planted carnations and honeydew melons
on 1x1 fields.

i only need 3 more gifts on my 2 farms I think ill have plenty of time to get them done and get the CR up and running

 

I figured out my previous post With the numbers "3" of this and "4" of that, I confused myself This brain of mine has always deciphered instructions as it sees fit. When this happens I always flash back to elementary school report cards/ Sometimes I would get a "U" or "N"--Unsatisfactory" for reading and following directions!!

 

is anybody having any luck with drops using roses or crop squares or anything like that?

 

Only luck I'm having with drops is with carnations, I've been getting between 52 and 65 for each full field harvested. I've got them refined of course and up until today poo was still affordable on my market. I didn't get good drops on roses though.

 

I got a new tree Pomelo from the wonder trees of which I had no idea when it was introduced. Then I went to the market to check and there was no offer for it. It is absolutely a NEW TREE !

 

For the record and to filter out the mud, so olde pharts like me are confused no more!

I may have misled fellow farmers with my figures for "in case" we could donate four pressies. Obviously, as there are only three packages showing for each animal, three is the maximum and therefore you can ignore the massive second figures. Will just go back and edit my original post to stop others taking the wrong path ...

I only need 119 drops to finish and am getting decent drops from Garlic, Honeydew Melons, Choyote, Habanero with Glade and Crystal Falls still full of trees, workshops and animal pens. Have also been working quite a bit since the start of the event so I consider my drops pretty good.

As I am only using four fields (with trees on the borders), I still am needing 8,600 crops but I will finish these by tomorrow, I think.

I am enjoying the pace of this one ... though it has left me far too much time (when I am home) to spend copious CCs on crops to try to finish all the latest (and very tough!) FSQs. I went under one million yesterday!

No more poo buying for me for this event, will just have to stay awake long enough to harvest on time!

Not doing too well drops wise. Hoping to finish growing the crops ASAP so I can plant some other crops and get a bit of a drop boost, but with only 48 hours to go and Christmas approaching IRL, it's looking like it'll be a race to the finish line, if indeed I get there at all!

I need to wrap 2 more gifts to give to 'Mama Beatty' who says ' gift's aren't important to her'. But still I need to give 2 gifts to her. And then I am over with this event. Waiting for the drops. May be will finish tomorrow.

 

three more gifts on each farm. ugh. Never planted the event crop at all yesterday, but did plant two sets of long growing crops so got some pretty good drops of the gift boxes. Now to see if I can slog through to get these last three gift boxes for the cloud row. Not going to hold my breath.

On the other hand, the show yesterday was wonderful - I sold a lot of product and made some Christmas green!

 

Wrapped all 12 gifts and have 64 ribbons and 82 boxes as leftover. Got to deal with the fact I can't use those to make more presents or gift any to the ones in need. Name it Xmas ARGGHH.

 

Didn't get to farm yesterday. So trying to play catch up today. Need Ribbon tulips - so I am growing away!

 

One gift to wrap, need 50 boxes. The drop rate has been pretty good for my farms, but I have no RL pressing matters right now.
Got a giraffe pen, that makes 2 for me. Very cute shooting hoops.

I finished on my 2 farms earlier today got the CRs up and running good luck to those still trying and don't give up you have plenty of time left

 

Great event! Concluded this morning without any stress due to drop rate and the availability of all fields

 

Drop rate has been terrible. Only half way. Have all the plants available. Worst rate I have ever seen.
