I am just wondering if anyone else is struggling with the box drops for this event. I am continually short.

If anyone has a secret on how to increase the drops...I would love to hear it...yes I have all my buffs in play...

    Thnks :sleepy:

I use Refined Raspberries overnight, with both of the Early Bloomers & Water Love refinements and the Other Crop buffs, water & poo turns this 17 3/4 hour crop to about 8 hours :D (I don't often use poo - in short supply & expensive - so 9 or 10 hours is my usual schedule) ;) then event crop during the day. :p I'll have more drops than crops in the morning, then by the end of the day more crops than drops. :) I've even used 2x2 plots & nuked them when I really needed drops - about 3 hours then. :wuerg:

You can use a Melon Magic in the morning when you harvest to get an extra Raspberry, I do this 1st then delete it & use another buff for the rest of the morning harvest. :p It took awhile to get the refinements but now I have a barn bursting with raspberries & a no brainer when needing to donate crops for any event. :D

I learned a long time ago that if I keep what amounts to one field in trees through the entire event, I never struggle with drops. I have XXLs on Baha that I never take down, plus new trees that I never take down, and then on the main I have new trees and product trees that I never take down. Since I've been doing this, I've never felt concerned about drops. I usually do refined carnations overnight, or, if the maths work out, I'll do a longer crop with water and poo, it just depends on the event crop time and my RL schedule. This event, I've pretty much been able to harvest every four hours. My Crystal falls is all set with water animals and the rare trees for which I don't have XXLs, so that only gave me an extra 36 1x1s for crops, but I'm sure the drops off all those trees were helpful. I'm sure you know, everything in 1x1 is necessary for best drop odds. I do sometimes do comfies overnight with event crops, if I'm feeling like spending the super grow. I usually get comparable drops from that, as from the long crops. As dafodily said, every morning I have more drops than crops, every evening I have more crops that drops - but I finished my crops yesterday afternoon and I got the last drops today about midday, without any sort of weird schedule - I simply chose my overnight crop depending on when I thought I'd get up in the morning, so no time was idle. Hope there's a nugget of help in the above paragraph :)

I have over a full field of trees out between bahamarama and the mainland and am still struggling with drops. Hoping to finish crops ASAP so I can get in a harvest or two of other crops and hopefully boost drops.

HI...I finished yesterday. I do the same thing...I dont ever take down certain fields...the only field I fulled these time was the new crystal falls...but all my other fields still had the animals and trees that were on there. the magical glade is entirely animals...

I really appreciate all the insight and tips. ...they will not go to waste. :)

Dafodily, I not got Melon Magic was it from CR from previous event ? I forgot it gives +1 other Crops only on the Main Field right ?

I always take down fields in any field as i follow the supply and demand in quests and markets. I do leave things in fields that can be brought cheap or reasonable prices in the markets. As i tried to be productive and make good CC at the same time.

I have moved away from Refinement Carnations. I use Deluxe Spa Mixer more on Newer Crops that has not got refinements such as Rose Hip, Daisy, Foxtail Millet and Turnips. you can get up to 30% reduce Crop times without Buffs, Water and Manure which can reduce it even less growing time. These crops have much higher value in the markets compared to Carnations.

Plus the use of Arboretum, Menagerie and Manufactory is huge help on Drops they have massive drop rate boost. It makes sense to leave these you your farms regardless. But they are not cheap to update to boost more Drops !!

As always as ever to advise to max out your Crop and Animal Trophies too ;)

Try putting as many 2x2 fields down, plant your longest crop, then hit it with SG....Whenever i'm lagging on drops this works. Just be careful not to SG small squares as it depletes your supply too quickly.

It's from the "Melon Madness" Magic Stock Row, I believe that's the one that gave us the Melon Dispensers! :p It's a GOLD slot buff & yes it ONLY gives +1 crops on Mainland fields.:music: I can usually remember to use them on my morning harvest of Raspberries & Rose Hips the rest of the time they magically disappear from my mind. o_O-.-:wuerg:xD

usually 1x1 plots give you more drops then 2x2 plots but unless you have an abundant amount of SG you may not want to SG 1x1 plots because it does use it up but if you use 1x1s from the beginning after the initial starting of event crops then it ( using 1x1 plots ) should help you get more drops :) hope this helps. I used to use 2x2 plots all the time I was to afraid to try using 1x1s but eventually I started using the 1x1s and found I was finishing the events a little more easily than before when I was using 2x2s :)

One of the biggest problems I have found with this event and drops is having Crystal Falls open. I don't and most that are struggling that usually don't, like FarmerDelight, don't have it open either. Even though many didn't change what they did for CF, they still got drops from it.

I always use 1x1...I no longer use the bigger plots. I also always you CC not the melon's...because doesnt the CC give more the melon? So wild is that I finished and now boxes are raining on my farm...go figure

Crystal Falls usually isn't involved with recent events. At least as far as I remember:p I think when you have a higher amount of drops to get, you have a much better chance getting them using 1x1's. Also the length of crops you are planting is a big factor. Plant 1 field in the mainlands and in baha using 10, 12+ hrs on 1x1's using water and plant 6-7 hr crops pn the rest. Harvest in a timely manner...don't let it set too long. Rotating like this should help. Work on getting your trophies the highest you can and get them in the LL Rune!!!! Forget getting the Special buildings for trees, animals and stables. If you really want to finish these events, that's what you NEED to do!!;)

    Julie1013, I understand.

I am at level 94, almost 95. I have 29% trophies in the LL. Yet drops were difficult for me. I didn't have anything but guarana unlocked in Baha till I got enough GB to unlock bitter ginger, which is my longest crop now. BTW, I got the cloudrow on my morning harvest the last day.

On my second farm, SadieBAW, I was finally able to get the cloudrow at about 3 am (PST). That farm is level 92, 28% trophies in the LL. Yet still, I barely made it. I could not find on either farm the precious crop that would rain drops like manna from heaven. I got better drops from raspberries and spelt than I did from carnations alot better.

I am just making a point that with this event Crystal Falls made this an event easier for those that have part or all unlocked with something to get drops from on CF. My next goal is getting the 40 GB necessary to get my first CF land unlocked.
