Pity the Farmerama New Year Event isn't a festive one.
My constuctive comment is simple: Resources (items and time) needed to do this event by no means do match any of the rewards given out. The silly timed cloudrow or the stand-alone givers or the handfull of farm goodies offered as reward might appeal to brand new farmers but are an insult to all farmers who have been around a little longer.

To keep it positive: the new event concept set up, using the FSQ to progress in an event instead of farmers having to rely on field drops only , might be a good change in event tactics. But please keep the FSQ requirements and rewards somewhat in line for all players.

I also agree that this event is certainly not a festive one. It is certainly very confusing and complex. The complexity of this event is not worth all that effort.

The biggest let down is there is no meaningful prizes that has any real use to our Farms, Quests. Not to mention another Barn Draining event.

I am not happy at all with string of Barn Draining events as it having an impact on our markets as there are less and less things to browse to buy in the markets. This Trait is getting worse. Why why asking for so much stuff to get ahead start of events. As you not allowed us to be able to restock our barns.

There maybe no drops needed for this event. I would rather have Drop items than having to donate so much of our barn stocks into these events.

Time, Effort, Barn Stock Donations Vs Rewards out numbers the rewarding side of this event. It is not a great start for the New Year at All I have been playing this game 8+ years. My conclusion it is the worse New Year event from Farmerama. I was under the impression it suppose to get better with improvements to make us constantly enjoy doing events.

I think we had about 4 events that has been draining our barns in last few months. Where the FAQ info on Brilliant Fireworks !! >:(

Let me add my two cents on this not being a great or festive event. In the past the New Years events have been very rewarding this takes a lot more than it gives. Usually the Holiday events are bigger and better than the average weekly events. There isn't a single prize offered in this event that tempts me to trade a large chunk of my farm supplies for it. I don't see how this would appeal to new players either as they probably don't have the resources to get past the first FSQ to open the other parts of the event.

Seriously you want that much of my barn I better be getting something a lot better than a below average CR for it.

I see PF, seedlings, stables, plus a decent amount of SG, SSG, and TM as prizes. Not to mention a LOT of CC and EP. GB, too! Yes, there's a fair amount asked for, but it's not barn breaking.

That being said, I do feel like there's been a lot of barn emptying going on lately, and I'd like to see a reduction in that. But I'd rather give up some stuff out of my barn, than to chase drops. This way, we can plant what we want or need overnight, instead of having to plan around the longest crop we can to get the best drops.

If every event was the same, it would get really boring really fast.

I'm all in!!! :D The designers have really out-done themselves this time!!! I must have The "New Year's Party" deco item!!!! It's fantastic!!!!:inlove:
The only thing I'm not thrilled with is the CR. As I approach level 200 on main farmland, there's not much motivation to receive EP's anymore. I'm hoping the developers will increase the farm levels as they did for Baha.......very soon!!!

    Happy New Year!!!!;)

I checked my barn's contents. Concluded it is not for me. Not enough resources to do the first one. These tasks are for those high-leveled players only. Well, hopefully someday I may have enough things to participate.

Am adding this second feedback because I finished this event with sixty some hours to spare, without making a huge effort, and leaving out a large number of trees and stables on all my fields. The EP for this cloud row is really good, and while we all get a lot of free spins, all you need is that one to win you something really great. I feel like this was an event that people have been asking for - one that didn't take a lot of screen time during the holidays, gave us plenty of time to complete it, and gave a nice array of prizes. The ones that give great prizes SHOULD be HARD! We had two back to back really intensive, really outstanding events. If this one had been that tought, there would have been a lot of whining - including by me. There's a lot of players here who seem to want something for nothing. I've been playing for seven years and I think that finally the balance is being struck between challenging and requiring too much time. I haven't done the math, but I'm pretty sure I could have grown all the carnations that I donated, in one night, and I could probably have grown half of the animals as well. This wasn't a barn burner. I think that one of the problems with the game format the past two years, is that people level up soooo much faster than they used to, and so they get to the high levels without any real reserves. I was playing nearly two years before I ever finished an event! and I am a hardcore player. This is not a game for people who dabble. There are plenty of those out there. I have played them all. I no longer play any of them because they didn't hold my interest. Seven years is a LONG time. If it was a human this game and I could be common law married by this point. I know lots of other people who feel the same way - this is not a game to us, it's a hobby. I loved this event, and would like to see more like it. Not every event - but I just wish people would quit expecting something for nothing. I know I'll get hate mail for this post but I don't care.

Kudos, matselleste!! I appreciate the varied style of events lately. I need more help from fellow farmers in the strategy threads, but it is more engaging when a bit more thought and planning is required. Thank you (again) for no milling of event requirements. And love the No Drop thingy.
This is from one who may not finish this event. The Flu made its rounds at my house. I pluck away at it when able, and it's OK.
I Wish All at BigPoint a Great 2018!!!

i also liked the whole no drop thing. it made for an easier event...with it being new years and everything.i finished this one with time to spare. it was a little confusing at first, but after i got started it was not problem. i liked that we got to use all the fields but one...i wish we could use that one, i don't have many fields unlocked yet but every little bit helps. i liked that we got a confetti canon with this event. new years needs a bang. over all i had fun with it and i think that's what really counts. happy new year everyone.
